A woman is never born as prostitute by birth..she is made into one, directly or indirectly by every human being on this earth.
By a heartless father selling her for few money bills...
By a brother selling her off to elude his responsibilities to get her married...
By a husband marrying her and taking away from her homeland shoving her into business...
By a stranger who starts to poke his finger at a girl as young as 2 years in these days...
In my opinion, the pro*titutes are the most selfless people, who get paid for giving away everything they have...When we collect our first salary, our faces glow with happiness, we plan to celebrate with parents, we buy gifts and what not..But they..they shed relentless tears for becoming one, for being that unfortunate woman on this earth and the money they earn goes to the man who led her there in the first place...Whoever may be it is, whatever may be the situation that forced them into this, but they are the ones who took the decision and it is highly unfair to judge the reasons especially when we are not the one going through what they went through.
Dignity of labor...Every job should be respected..every being should be understood...and no decision should be judged especially when we know how lucky and imperfect we are...
Many expressed their opinions, concerns, wishes as Khushi is taking worst decision of becoming one such. Before I go ahead with my long lecture, if you need to connect to this story, you need to step into the shoes of character otherwise, you feel the characters are making stupid decision. You need to stop analyzing the story from 360 degrees and try to look from where it demands your attention...You MUST feel that you are Arnav and you are Khushi if you want to understand their characterization.
We know the mental status of Arnav but Khushi doesnt know..What Khushi knows is, she was put up for sale for the same business by her father years ago..She survived, she came out strong and she protected herself and raised her guards only under the assumption no one will ever break her..But when Arnav entered, his tough love, his tender touch changed her years of hatred on that gender. He made her realize there are few good men. He made her fall in love with him. He became her world..
And when someone becomes your entire world, you trust them more than you trust yourself..And when that world flips your life in a blink of an eye, when they accuse you of what you dont wanted to be at first place, when they take your heart for granted, the person will not have any motivation to pull herself up to be another Jhansi ki rani, especially when she already knows that he is going to throw broken glass pieces along her path as he warned ...Life gives them only one chance to become a strong and unbreakable woman..Inspite of being like that for 20 yrs and if the life, world treats you the worst way..You say..You know what..F*** U life...I will do exactly what you dont want me to...And they become more stronger and arrogant than ever..and they eventually become the anti-social if...note this point...if they are not made realize just how important they are, just how wanted they are and how much they are loved...which is what eventually makes a woman a pro*titute..If comes an angel a min before a woman turns into a wh*re, there will not be any pro*titution at all..Every pro*titute needs that assurance, that healing touch, and most important a pair of eyes that look at her lovingly and not in lust...
That is exactly Khushi is going through right now...It is not a simple decision..It is not an easy decision to become a pro*titute and her decision doesnt mean she has stooped low and she has become one...
I take pride in the character Khushi I am creating in this FF, and I have no intention of butchering it. As I stated earlier, this FF is to bring the strength in all of us not to let us take hasty decisions. Many suggested she should go away instead of the decision she took. I dont agree, she didnt make any mistake to run away from problem whatever decision she takes.
These are purely my thoughts...No offense intended. Happy reading!!!
2 months later...
Can they get any worse than this? Aman threw his phone after reading the ePaper. They asked me a question, and I answered in a simplest way I could, what was the need for everyone to speculate it as suicide.
Aman! Arnav raised his hand gesturing him to stop. He then turned to the Joint Commissioner and spoke in gruffy voice, Look Commissioner, I am sticking to what I said earlier, My sugar levels dropped and I didnt know how house got on fire. There is so much at stake if I die, so thats not even an option for me. Why are you guys investigating it as serious case, its waste of time.
The government dont encourage the suicides Sir, We are answerable to people.
About my death? Are you freaking kidding me? Look why dont you put your work at better use where you are really needed. None matters to no one whether I live or die..
The Joint Commissioner ignored Arnav's frustration, Please dont leave the town, we might have few questions before we declare the reasons. Until we submit the report, your insurance will not release funds.
The Hyderabad building was much easier to deal than this damn house, Aman swore in low whisper audible enough to Arnav and earned a scowl.
Arnav sighed and let out a tight nod helplessly, Just make sure you guys dont bother my family with the meaningless questions.
Oh that wont be needed Sir, we already got statement from your wife.
What? What the F*** Aman, Didnt I make myself clear not to question her anything.
Aman shrugged and nodded.
Relax ASR, her statement was as good as not questioning her.
Arnav stared at the Commissioner unsure of what he meant.
She confimed that she was not present at the time, as you both had already split up.
Split-up...the word sounded like violent abuse imagining it from her mouth and his fingers instantly curled into a fist, without saying a word..He left to stay alone.

Exactly 2 months ago to this day, Khushi gave the shock of his life to NK when she blatantly said, she wants to sleep with rich men. And when he tried to enquire, her furious reply, If not you, I can find someone else shut him off completely and he had no choice but to accept at least to keep her safe and make her believe for the moment.
Later Khushi came to know that NK tried to reach Arnav to inform the same, the next moment she threw the cellphone off the train when they were going somewhere and warned him one more attempt to reach Arnav, she will cut all her ties with NK and so NK obliged & never called Arnav thereafter.
As she walked around NK's apartment, the place where she changes from Khushi to an escort to keep her hostel location private away from the Men who come to pick her up, Khushi couldnt believe how far she came in these 2 months, the thought that kept nagging since the morning. Since she woke up this morning, her intuition constantly reminded the only man she loved and she pondered why she is feeling unusually unsettled, specially today.
She grabbed her handbag and took out a 2 month old newspaper.
Arnav Singh Raizada back in action...
Meghana Takkar, BusiBuzz
The novel business star and AR Ventures President Arnav Singh Raizada, who was hospitalized after he found unconscious in his fire blazed penthouse La Fierte over a week ago, has been discharged from the Lilavati Hospital this morning...My buddy was complaining of cold life and on that note his house decided to take matters into its hands & cranked up the fire around him...Jokes apart, ASR is perfectly fine and back into action. Mrs. Raizada as well safe and sound, coyly stated Mr. Aman Verma, Partner and Co-President of AR Ventures.
While the reasons for the blaze are yet to be known, Officials speculate that it was no accident. The video footage, house entry/exit records, phone records and everything that may help in further investigation have been confiscated by the Police Force, stated Senior SI Mr. Ajay Tinkal.
If sources are to be believed, the shrewd business tycoon is going through rough patch and attempted to end his life. We tried to reach Mr. and Mrs. Raizada but they remained unavailable.
If there is anything she would outright disapprove in that article is that, he ending his life. Thats not him, who values life more than any one on this planet. She knows that much about him. Khushi stared at the 2 month old newspaper clipping of the man photographed blanch with week old stubble, looking totally uninterested in the surroundings, which is very unlikely of Arnav Singh Raizada. He didnt look like the handsome man she known. There is something about the way his eyes lowered, and his lips sealed tightly, something she felt very disturbing every time she looked at his photograph on the paper. But each time she adamantly stopped herself from pondering more reasons behind the lifeless stance of the man, her husband. NK's stretched out hand snapped her thoughts and she took the coffee mug politely.
Do you want to talk about what happened? NK asked taking seat across the table.
About what?
NK pointed towards the Arnav's photograph in the paper.
Khushi taking the fuming sip of the liquid, she said determinedly, NO. Keeping the cup back on the table, she reached for her handbag and took our few money bills and slid it on the table saying,
For the coffee!
Dont be silly..Its on me...
Why should you spend for me? What am I to you? You are working for me and thats the only relation between you and me. If you are done, we got work to do...She sprang her feet and stepped off the chair, without caring for a reaction from NK.
NK sighed unable to recognize the woman in front. She is not Khushi, not anymore, the fact he is still getting used to.
Khushi walked into bathroom to give final touch ups to her make-up as the photograph of a lifeless stance took her unsettled mind back to the day all the channels flashed with the news of ASR caught in blaze.
Khushi was signing her name at the gate register of the women's hostel when her eyes fell on the channels flashing the breaking news of ASR Penthouse La Fierte on Fire. The video showed the entire corner room on the top floor of the building was ablaze, ambulance sirens, and photographers squirming were telecasted and then a stretcher rushed to the chopper and was soon out of sight from the media..And before she knew, she found herself sprinting into the lobby of Lilavati hospital and few feet ahead, she spotted Anjali and Nani escorted by their security.
She waited..Hiding from them she waited many hours anxious to see him and for the first time in the day she forgot their fight, the pain, the anger and the bruise on her heart. Around 3am, Anjali walked out of the hospital holding Nani, her face stained with salted tears. Khushi warily rushed to the line of VIP Suites laid in the hallway, searching for him. She spotted Aman exiting the room and walking away in the other direction taking security guards along with them, what it may seemed like to give further instructions on keeping Arnav safe and not allowing him to step out. She knew that it must be the room and when she peeped through the glass, her heart sank painfully. With his hand stretched out and hooked to the IV, she found him looking at the ceiling blankly, flapping his eyelids ever so slowly, tiredly and his face extremely strained with no signature charm of his. As her hand reached to grab the handle of the door, she remembered his words, ...to leave my house and my premises...
She withdrew her hand and walked away after assuring herself that he didnt severe any burns.
The next few days were most painful for Khushi, as one part of her wanted to check on him and other part loathed him. She had the worst battle of her life within herself until NK showed up 3 days later and everything started falling in place as she planned her future.
As she walked out of the tiny bathroom, NK mused at her dressed in A-line floor length Mustard satin. He couldnt believe how much his traditional, conservative friend has changed & her confidence and arrogance took his thoughts back to the day he landed in Mumbai for her.
I am not letting you sleep with men, NOT YOU thats final...
With the amount of anger and frustration that I built up in last 3 days, I wouldnt hesitate to kill any man at this min, and that includes you as well. Listen to me carefully, I need details of every client of yours, their interests, their family backgrounds, their weaknesses. I am giving you one opportunity NK for all the wrong you have done with the women in your business. Work for me, I may not pay you for the first few months but at least you will be guilt free of ruining the women's lives...Last chance and I cant ask you to trust me because I hate that word now. Are you in?
What exactly are you planning, because I want to know what you and I are getting into?
All you need to know is I am going to free every prostitute in the city and I dont know if this helps you decide, no d*ck will enter me again, ever again in my life..I cant be more blunt than this.
Khushi, did any one..I mean did Arnav try to..
Thats none of your business. Are you in or not?
How much are we targeting for this man? Khushi's words broke NK's line of thoughts.
1.5 crore. NK smiled with mischievous grin.
Wow..thats a lot. Good though, that will make us 4 crore even...
Even on dot...He is big fish and has great weakness...Hey by the way...I checked a 2 story office in Bandra, I think thats perfect...NK looked up at her as he heard no response. You OK? You look quite restless.
Weird, isnt it? I have been wondering too. I just need a moment alone I guess.
I will be downstairs and see if the car is here. Take your time. NK left to give her privacy. One of those rare moments she requested in their 2 month business relation.
Khushi nodded and took the chair. In 2 months of this journey, she never felt as restless and anxious she is feeling today. Her thoughts repeatedly drawn to the man. She jolted with the shrill sound of her phone. As she picked up, her conflict of emotions answered with the phone call from the Doctor's office announcing the results of her blood test, that she gave when she passed out in her room in the mid-afternoon last week.
Congratulations, You are pregnant Mrs. Raizada.
Wha...Khushi questioned in almost whisper, her thoughts instantly travelling to the man who probably be sitting in his office deciding people's lives. She didnt know if she has to be happy or sad for the news of bearing his child or for being addressed as his wife for the first time in 2 months.
Your hCG level is 28mlU/ml which is above the threshold.
I dont understand, Just repeat what you said.
You are pregnant Ma'm and your sugar level has dropped low which is why you fainted the other day. Would you like to make an appointment and see how far long you are?
I...I have to get back to you.
Call us to the same number when you are ready. And Ma'm we advise you to bring your husband if this is your first time, you know just to calm your nerves.
Khushi clutched onto her phone and pressed her forehead against it. Was she happy? She didnt know. The news didnt make her feel the connection with the baby which surprised her and irked her. But she did feel something else and the words that followed next were the evidence of what her heart felt...
Why did you make my life so miserable...She spread her fingers warily on her tummy and whispered one more time, hoping it would reach him and he flips his magic wand to set everything right...I am scared...I am very scared Arnav. I dont know what to do and how to react. I dont know anything anymore...I wish I knew you as well, as I thought I did. I really wish...
The word scared appalled her and angered her as it was the first time she felt tremors in fear in 2 months and it was also her first time taking his name in these 60days. She stood up stopping herself from thinking any further, one more moment she would have broke down. She grabbed her things mechanically just like she did every time and stepped out as NK knocked at the door.
So the bandra office is OK?
Yeah, We will go tomorrow. Why is this moron not here yet? She put on poker face that she mastered in these months as if nothing happened, and looked through the window strapping her metal watch.
NK chuckled at her temper which seemed to be always on her nose these days. Did you take everything you need? This man is quite violent I heard.
I will be OK and so what if anything happens to m...she stopped saying as she realized she is not alone anymore and she got new responsibility. We will be OK, she whispered to herself and to her baby for the first time, brushing her fingers fondly on her belly.
Soon in next few moments, Khushi was led to the four door imported Jaguar by the chauffeur and she was on her way to the Annual Users Conference of Venture Capitalists.
