'Everything felt so real': Surbhi Chandna says some scenes of 'Ishk Dum Aur Idli Rasam' did not feel scripted

Surbhi Chandna recently revealed that there were several moments during the making of Ishk Dum Aur Idli Rasam where she completely forgot she was working because everything around her felt emotionally personal. The actress-producer admitted that the show slowly became deeply attached to her emotions.

According to Surbhi, some scenes carried such emotional honesty that they almost felt like memories rather than scripted sequences. Watching the actors bring those moments alive often left her emotional because the atmosphere on set felt extremely natural and heartfelt.

Surbhi further shared, “Some scenes didn’t feel scripted… they felt lived. There were moments where I quietly stood behind the monitor and just absorbed the emotions because everything felt so real.” She explained that those experiences became some of her favourite memories from the journey.

Adding to it, she said, “I think audiences can immediately sense when emotions are forced and when they are genuine. We wanted every scene to feel emotionally truthful.” Surbhi believes the emotional honesty of the project is what will help audiences connect deeply with it.
