CHAPTER TWO

Shagun stood their looking like the wind had been sucked out of her completely. What the hell was going on? Ishita and Shlok... REALLY ... No maybe this secretary was mistaken. It couldn't possibly be...She quietly walked to her car and waited patiently for him to come out just to make sure that he here.

After a few hours Shlok came out with two bodyguards who were following him as he stepped into the car and they drove him away. Shagun wanted to walk over and say hello but she was way too shocked to even move. She also started her car following them not even sure if what she was doing was even right. All she hoped was that Shlok somehow lead her to Ishita.

They drove for about an hour or less and finally drove into this mansion. It was beautiful she had to admit and it clearly looked like Shlok had done really well for himself. She stayed in her car a few blocks away as she mastered the courage to go and meet him.

She watched as he slowly got out of his car and as soon as he closed his door these two children came running out, a boy and a girl as they ran to where he was

'Oh hey my little angels...'' He said as he picked them up each in one hand

'Shlok papa did you get us our gifts...'' Asked the girl

'And by gifts she means my game...'' Said the boy to which Shlok laughed and said

'Of course I did although you are not getting it until your mother approves.''

'Uffoo Shlok papa you're so scared of her...'' Said the girl

'Arre even I am a bit scared of her sometimes...'' Said the boy causing allof them to laugh as they walked into the house

Shagun watched all this still not understanding what she was seeing. So did this mean that Shlok was now married with kids? He seemed so happy and these kids seemed like they were his, they called him papa after all.

She sat in that car contemplating whether or not she should walk in but every time she thought about Raman and his predicament she knew she had to suck up her pride and go to Shlok and ask for help. If there was anyone who knew Ishita's where about it was him.

She got down from her car and walked through the gate her hands sweating as she began playing in head what she would say to him when she came face to face with him. She finally made it to the door as she talked to herself

'Relax Shagun... He will help... He has too...'' She said before she put her hand on the door bell button

'Ring... Ring...'' Off it went

She took a deep breath as she tried to calm her nerves trying to keep herself together for when she got to meet Shlok but when the door went open, she couldn't believe who she was seeing

'Ishita...'' she said as Ishita stood in the door way one hand in the door knob.

She looked on as Ishita looked at her with little or no expression on her face almost as if she was expecting her here. She smirked a little before she turned her head a little saying

'Shlok how windy do you think the day has been...''

'Not so much I guess why...'' Answered Shlok who was inside

'I think it has blown filthy garbage our way.'' Ishita said again this time looking straight at Shagun

'What do you mean...'' Said Shlok as he walked to the door with the girl in his hands

When he got to the door he looked at Shagun and his expression was no better than Ishita. He put the girl down and said

'Ruhi go upstairs...'' before he turned again looking at Shagun

'Oh no... I think Jaiforgot to close the gate. It has to be the only explanation for this.'' Said Shlok as he folded his hands to his chest

'Ishi...'' Shagun tried to talk but Ishita interrupted

'Jai...'' Called Ishita

Shagun knew this name, it was a bit familiar and it is only that a man in his late 40's came to the door that she recognised who he was

'Jai...'' Said a shocked Shagun as she recognised that it was the same man that worked in Raman's house as his driver

'Please go lock the gate...'' Said Ishita

'Yes Madam...'' He answered as he looked at Shagun one time

'Jai, what did I tellyou about you calling me that...'' Said Ishita

'Sorry Ishita didi...'' he answered smiling before he walked away

'Oh before you leave...'' Said Shlok causingJai to turn back

'Please take this rubbish with you...'' Said Ishita before she looked at Shagun and closed her door

'Ishita... Shlok please listen to me... Please...'' Shagun tried calling out but Ishita just bolted the door instead

'Arre lets go...'' Said Jai with a smile on his face

You imbecile, you can't talk to me like that...'' she barked

'Oyi madam, the last time I checked I don't work for you. Please leave the premises...'' he said pushing her a little as he led her out of the compound.

She got outside and Jai locked the gate leaving her standing outside not believing what she had seen. What did that mean? Was Ishita married to Shlok? Were those her kids, what was going on? And the way they threw her out meant there was no way they were even going to listen to what she had to say so she needed to go to plan B

Meanwhile back in the house, Ishita bolted the door and turned around to look at Shlok and he could see she was a bit shaken up. She lost her balance and almost fell down and Shlok ran to her rescue holding her as he helped her to a seat.

'Something is wrong. I know someone is wrong otherwise why is she here...'' Said Ishita

'I will call Romi, he could have an idea...'' Said Shlok as he grabbed his phone and dialled Romi's number

'Hello...'' Romi picked up causing Shlok to put him on loud speaker

'Romi your on speaker... Shagun was at my house could you be...'' Said Shlok as Romi interrupted

'How the hell did she manage to find you...''

'I don't know...'' said Shlok

'Oh yes... She must have seen you at my office and she followed you. That is the only explanation...'' Said Romi

'What was she doing at your office? You guys are in touch now...'' Said Shlok

'Oh no she came here saying she needed my help. Well not mine Ishita's...'' he said all the while Ishita was just quietly listening

'Why does she want Ishita's help...'' said Shlok

'Well apparently Raman was in an accident a year ago and he has been in a coma ever since...'' he said causing Ishita to take a deep sigh as she held her breath trying hard not to think of the worst

'Is he okay...'' she finally managed to say

'Yeah he will... Well technically he is okay except for one small problem...'' Said Romi

'What is that?'' She asked

'He has amnesia due to some brain injury. He doesn't remember the last 7 years...'' Said Romi in one breath

Ishita who had tears running down her face sighed with relief because even with all their past, she still cared about him. It took a minute to even process what Romi had said to her

'Wait what do you mean by he doesn't remember the last 7 years...'' Said Ishita

'Well she told me that he doesn't remember a thing and doctors need to put him in an environment where he sort of remembers his past. Right now he is not doing so well and he keeps on getting seizures and stuff...'' Said Romi

'Okay I am not understanding, what has all this got to do with me...'' Said Ishita who hadn't put two and two together

'Seven years ago you and Raman were still married Ishu...'' Said Ashlok

'Yeah so...'' She said

'Well they are saying that they need for you to go and you know... Help him...'' Said Romi

'I don't... What do you...? I can't...'' Said Ishita

She was not sure how to even take all this. There never was a time did she ever imagine she would get back into Raman's life and also such circumstances. This was a bizarre situation that even she didn't know how to handle

'Ishu listen, you do not have to do anything you do not want. You are not obligated to do anything for him or his family...'' Said Shlok

'Listen guys I have to go, I will talk to you all later...'' Said Romi before hanging up

'What kind of punishment is this Shlok? I don't understand why it always has to be me...'' Said Ishita as she become teary

'It is fine... We will figure it out...'' Said Shlok as he put his hand around him

Shagun walked into the hospital not quite knowing how she was going to tell her would be in laws what she had seen at Ishita's. I mean given everything she wouldn't have wanted to sort this Raman problem herself but she knew she had to shallow he pride and ask Ishita for help.

She walked into the room and she could see Santosh trying to convince Raman to calm down as Ishita was sorting out some things and everything would be okay. When Raman saw her, he said

'Shagun, these people keep on lying to me and no one is willing to tell me what is going on. I have been here for weeks now and I haven't seen Ishita. Is she okay? Do you know where she is? She is your best friend there is nothing she does without telling you. Please...'' Begged Raman

''No... She is just not in the country right now but she is getting here, I promise. She just wanted us to take care of you while she is away. You know Ishita, she hates people seeing her weak and she won't allow you to hear the worry in her voice...'' Lied Shagun which worked because that managed to calm him down until he was given an injection that took him to sleep

Santosh left the room and walked to the waiting area where she buried he face in her hands and cried. She had all sorts of regrets going through her mind. This was a punishment too big for her son to bear.

'Ammi...'' Called Shagun

'Just tell me you found her. Please... Tell me you found her...'' Said Santosh

'Yes... I did...'' Said Shagun

'Oh God... Good so what did she say...'' Said Santosh but Shagun just kept quiet

'What did she say Shagun...'' She asked again

'She wouldn't let me talk... I mean I tried but she wouldn't let me finish...'' Said Shagun

'What do you mean wouldn't let you talk. Did you tell her about Raman and his condition...'' Said Santosh

'I tried...'' Said Shagun

'You are so hopeless... Tell me where she is... I will go there myself...'' Said Santosh

'That is not fair... I am worried about him as much as you are and for you to talk to me like I do not even care is so unfair...'' Said Santosh

'Will you two stop bickering... This will not help anyone...'' Said Mr. Bhalla who had just walked out of the room

'She refuses to tell me where Ishita is...'' Said Santosh

'Oh My God... I did not refuse...'' Said Shagun

'Then why don't you tell her...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Because she is married now... They have kids and a home and everything...'' Said Shagun

'What the hell is that even supposed mean...? Of course you would expect that she moved on. We shall talk to her husband...'' Said Santosh

'You don't get it. She is married to Shlok... They have two kids... A boy and a girl...'' Said Shagun causing Santosh to slump down distraught

'What kind of punishment is this...'' She said as she began to cry

'Wait this doesn't make sense. She can't be married and even if she did marry, technically that marriage is invalid...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Meaning what...'' Said Santosh

'Meaning technically she and Raman are still married so he really can't say that she is married. It doesn't matter...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'What the hell... You really are going to try and reason with her on a technicality... Are you crazy...'' Said Santosh

'Well we have to find a way to bring her here. What do you suppose we do...'' Said Shagun

'Well for starters maybe you could leave my son alone...'' Said Santosh

'Never going to happen... Think of something else...'' Said Shagun

''Santosh... Stop being unreasonable... She is his fiance...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'I know that but right now she is a fiance that he doesn't seem to remember. You really think Ishita will show up here with Shagun around. If I were her I wouldn't...'' Said Santosh making Shagun realize that maybe she was right

'If it will make him better then we shall think of a way...'' Said a disheartened Shagun

'Shagun... I am not trying to make you feel bad but this is my son's life we are talking about...'' Said Santosh

'Santosh... We have to be positive... We need to go talk to her...'' said Mr. Bhalla

'You are not going anywhere... She might just get angrier if she sees your face.'' Said Santosh angrily

Mr. Bhalla would have found that offending but he understood. His wife was just worried about her son and in a way she was right. His and Ishita's relationship had been so shattered that there was no coming back from it. In a way he also wanted it that way.

'Fine... Go talk to her... I will send you the driver...'' He said before walking out of the hospital

'You will have to go to the Iyers... She has a function there and she will have to be in attendance...'' Said Shagun

'Mind me asking how you found out...'' Said Santosh

'I asked around... This time every year she goes back home for some kind of celebration...'' Said Shagun

Ishita had gone to her parents given it was Aditya and Ruhi's birthday. They always celebrated it together and this was going to be the same. A lot of things were about to change and none of them were prepared of it.The party went on like always everyone happy and pretty content since they were doing well for themselves.

Santosh made her way to the Iyers mansion again as she had been told that Ishita would be there. She was nervous of course she didn't know what to expect or how she was going to do this but she was determined either way, she was leaving here with Ishita's approval.

She walked in and she could see all the Iyers were around as well as friends and family. It was crazy how all these people managed to keep in touch with everything that had happened, but then again, knowing Ishita, relationships meant a lot to her and her loyal friends and family were all she had remained with after everything.

'Mama...'' Called Ruhi who was running around as she hugged Ishita who for the first time in seven years Santosh was looking at

'Yeah...'' Said Ishita

'Oh God look what Mihika got me...'' Said a very excited Ruhi

'Oh wow... Very nice ...'' Said Ishita as she hugged her daughter before she ran off only to turn to Mihika and say

'You are spoiling my daughter too much...''

'What can I do? I can't help it she is just too darn adorable to say no to. Besides I am an aunty. It is kind of my job to do so...'' Said Mihika laughingly

Santosh stood there afraid to walk in and make contact. She stared at Ruhi who was running away with the gift in her hand showing everyone and she couldn't believe the resemblance she had to Ishita. She was a carbon copy to Ishita, everything about this child screamed Ishita and there was no doubting that.

As she stared, she felt someone tap her and she looked down to see who it was oly to get the shock of her life. This boy, he looked exactly like her Raman. My God if she didn't know better one would think that was actually Raman's son. Everything about that boy was Raman.

''Excuse me madam...'' Said the boy

'Oh hello sweet heart...'' Said Santosh

'You seem lost... I have never seen you around...'' Said the boy

'I am looking for...'' But before Santosh would complete the girl came calling

'Adi... What did mom say about talking to strangers...'' Said Ruhi

'Sorry... She seemed like she was searching for someone... Look she has tears in her eyes...'' Said Aditya and they both turned to look at her

'Okay... We should tell mom, maybe she will help her out...'' Said Ruhi as she grabbed her brother's hand and they walked back to Ishita

'Mom... There is a woman there who seems lost...'' Said Aditya and Santosh stood there feet planted in one place not sure what to do. She almost wanted the ground to shallow her and, maybe her attention shouldn't have been so much on the kids who were dragging Ishita to the door where she was standing but it was. There were no way these children were not Raman's

'I am coming... Just ...'' Said Ishita as she followed her impatient kids

When she looked up at the woman they all were talking about she couldn't believe who she was looking at.

Flash Back

'I wouldn't have brought you in the middle of my marital issues but I do not know how to go too. Help me...'' Said Ishita and Santosh just remained staring at her

'Please Ammi... I would never do such a thing and you know that. How can Raman... How can you people think I would ever do something like that? This pregnancy is Raman's. I have never cheated...'' Said Ishita as tears streamed down her face

'I am inclined to believe my son. You have really hurt him Ishita. I do not know how I am supposed to help you. We have to wait until a DNA test is done...'' Said Ishita

'So what happens to me till then... Tomorrow, you will throw me out of here and then what...'' Said Ishita

' Oh no... No one is talking about tomorrow... You're leaving tonight...'' Said Mr. Bhalla as he grabbed Ishita by the hand and dragged her out of the room down the stairs

'Please... Do not do this... Ammi please... Please I am begging you do not do this... Ammi... Talk to him please ...'' Screamed Ishita as she cried but Santosh just stayed there looking and did not say a word as Mr. Bhalla dragged her down stairs to a room full of people down.

Ishita grabbed her kids hands and pulled them close to her as she called

'Shlok...'' And Shlok walked to where she was

'Please take the kids upstairs...'' She said and Shlok together with Romi grabbed Ruhi and Aditya respectively and walked upstairs

'What do you want...'' Said Ishita

'Oh My God he looked just like Raman...'' Said Santosh who was still in shock

'I ask again and I will not repeat myself... What the hell do you want...'' She asked again

Mihika, the Iyers, Neelu, Jai walked over to where Ishita was standing behind her as Romi and Shlok make their way back standing by her side

'Look I haven't come to cause any trouble... I just thought that we should talk...'' Said Santosh and everyone just looked at her

'Look Ishita I wouldn't be here if I had another alternative...'' Said Santosh

'Listen I do not know what the hell happened and do not care. There is no way in hell I am getting back into that hell hole.'' Said Ishita

'Please... No matter your differences I know you loved him and he loved you. Please help me... My son... My son is really sick Ishita and he needs help...'' Said Santosh tears in her eyes

'You have some nerve showing up here like this... Are you kidding me... This is a birthday party for my kids and it is only friends and family allowed Foes are not welcome. So please leave...'' Said Shlok

'What... Shlok please...'' begged Santosh

'No... Just like you wouldn't listen to me then, I will not listen to you now, Please leave...'' Said Shlok pointing at the door

Santosh looked at Ishita hoping to see some kind of concern or worry for Raman but there was nothing. Ishita just stood there looking at her like she was just some random crazy woman.

'We are at the hospital... Delhi Memorial Hospital... In case you change your mind ...'' Said Santos before she turned to her heel sand walked out hoping, praying begging that she actually did change her mind.

CHAPTER THREE

'Can you believe those people... My God they never stop...'' Said Mrs. Iyer

'I don't even understand why they keep on coming back...'' Said Mihika but all this while Ishita was just quiet and looking at them

'Ishita what do you want to do...'' Asked Shlok looking at Ishita

'What sort of nonsensical question is that... She is not going... Obviously ...'' Said Mr. Bhalla but again Ishita just looked at them and didn't answer

'Oh My God Ishita you cannot possibly begin thinking of going back to that God awful place...'' Said Mrs. Bhalla

'Ishu... These people do not deserve anything from you. They deserve whatever is coming to them...'' Said Mihika

'Just let her be... This is a choice she has to make on her own...'' Said Romi

'Oh Please... You're just saying that because it is you sister who is asking for help...'' Said Mihika

'That is not fair... That is so unfair Mihi...'' Said Romi

As they kept on arguing down stairs, Ruhi and Aditya came running down as they screamed

'Mom... Mama...'' Causing all the adults to turn and look at them

'The lady who was here... She is outside...'' Said Ruhi

'She fell down mama... And she is not getting up...'' Said Adi

They all quickly walked outside to see what was going on and they found Santosh collapsed on the gate.

'Mrs. Bhalla...'' Called Mrs. Iyer

'Come on get her up...'' Said Ishita as they carried Santosh inside

Santosh was taken inside and given first aid as they all waited for her to regain consciousness. When she got up Ishita waked to her with her glass of water handing it to her as she said

'When was the last time you ate...'' Santosh looked up seeing all of them were surrounding her and looking at her

'I don't... Uhh... Yesterday...'' Said Santosh

Mrs. Iyer walked up with a glass of milk handing it to her as she said

'Drink this, your son is on his way to pick you up...''

'Thank you...'' Said Santosh

All of them walked away from where she was lying and went to the next room almost as if they were avoiding her. There was a knock at the door and Mihika knew that had to be the person they had sent to pick Santosh

'Hey ...'' He said his jaw dropping before he added

'Mihika... Oh my God... Nice to see you...'' Said Mihir

'Hey Mihir how have you been...'' Said Mihika as she smiled letting Mihir in

'Oh God... I have missed you for starters. I haven't seen you girls in over 6 years...'' He said walked in as he saw Ishita

'Ishu...'' He called out as he walked inside throwing his arms around Ishita

'Hey Mihir...'' Said Ishita as she hugged him

'How are you? How is your health...'' He said with concern in his face

'I am fine for now. Thank God...'' Said Ishita

'God... That is so good to hear...'' He said before walking over to the Iyers and greeting them after which he apologized for the inconveniences she might have caused

'We understand... It is okay...'' Said Shlok

Mihir grabbed his mother's hand and helped her walk out of the house. She got her in the car before he turned and walked back inside

'Sorry... Can I just says something...'' He said causing everyone to turn and look at him

'Ishita I know my brother was an ass and the way he treated you was beyond comprehension. It was unimaginable and unforgivable but he is the only brother I have. I know it is so unfair for any of us Bhalla to expect you to come back and save the day or even do us any favors. In fact I even agree that we are assholes who deserve whatever we are getting, but Ishu come on... You are a lot of things, callous is not one of them.'' Said Mihir looking at only Ishita knowing she was the only one he was going to appeal to in that whole room

'Why don't you just tell him that he and I separated years ago? We should have been divorced but he refused to sign the divorce papers...'' Said Ishita

'Well true but he is not in a state where he can properly assess that kind of bombshell. In his mind he is the Raman you fell in love with... Papa says he keeps mumbling your name in his sleep. Believe me there are no egotistic people you will ever met like us the Bhallas and if we are here begging then know we have no other option...'' Said Mihir

'I don't... What happens if he never gains back his memory? Do I stay being Mrs. Raman Kumar Bhalla for the rest of my life? That is something I do not ever want to be again let alone for a life time...'' Said Ishita causing her mother to smile knowing that is the most honest thing she had heard her daughter say since all this crazy began

'Listen you can use this to your advantage. I say use this to get your divorce, finally get what you deserve... Or better yet... Time for you revenge...'' He said much to everyone's surprise. Ishita looked at him suspiciously before she asked

'How come you never came to me when you found out about this. You have known where I was the entire time...'' Said Ishita

'Wait... What...'' Said Shlok

'Yup... He is the only Bhalla who knew where I was. Raman paid him to keep tabs on me. And I in turn paid him to report only what I wanted them to know...'' Said Ishita

'Well... Ishita you of all people know where my allegiances lie and two, he didn't earn the right to know a thing. Besides I have been out of the country. I just got back two days ago and when they told me mom was here I figured why not catch up with my employee...'' Said Mihir

'Okay... What...'' Said Mihika

'Oh yeah... He also works in my New York office as my graphics designer...'' Said Ishita smiling before she added

'Only for you I will think about it...'' Said Ishita

'That all I ask for. Thank you...'' He said before walking out and this time driving away

'Okay I am lost. You have been keeping tabs on the Bhalla family...Why...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'No... Papa they tried keeping tabs on me I beat them to their game. His job for the first 3 years after I left that house was that he reported to them whatever I did. I paid him to only report what I wanted them to know or what I wanted them to think they knew...I never wanted to know anything about them, still don't and he in turn never talked about them. Not around me at least'' Said Ishita

'And what was he gaining out of all this...'' Asked Mihika

'He was doing right by me also he sort of doesn't like Shagun much...'' Said Ishita

'Meaning what...'' Asked Mr. Bhalla

'Meaning... He was the lynch pin that began the ripple effects of what happened to Raman and Ishita...'' Said Romi

'Okay I thought that was Shagun...'' Said Mrs. Iyer

'Long story... I do not want to talk about this. Can we just leave this for now?' Said Ishita

'Well yeah only after you tell me what you intend on doing.'' Said Mr. Iyer

'Papa... What do you want me to do? Whatever you want... I will do...'' Said Ishita

'You have to think about those children... You have to make sure that they are secured no matter what...'' Said Mr. Iyer

'What the hell is that supposed to mean?'' Says Mrs. Iyer who did not like where this conversation was going

'Look... He has refused to grant you this divorce and you have failed to push it because you know that either way it compromise the custody of your children. You and I both know that paper that Raman signed won't hold so much in court...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Papa... What are you trying to say...'' Said Mihika

'Look I know Ishita and as hard as it is for me to admit. I know she will somehow figure out a way to go help that man. Why... I have no idea but all I hope is that you figure out a way to make this work in your favor. This time leave on your own terms. Not there but yours and get everything you need to from it to make sure these children stay with you...'' Said Mr. Bhalla to which Ishita smiled knowing that she and her dad were on the same page

A WEEK LATER

'I need for you to make sure that he stays calm. He is going to be disoriented a lot if we keep on giving him these drugs. You have to keep him relaxed. Where is the lady you say was supposed to help...'' Asked the doctor

'She isn't here yet... We are still trying to get a hold of her...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'What happens if we do not find her...'' Said Shagun

'It will be a very long and hard journey to recovery for everyone. Here is a man who doesn't remember almost 7 years of his life. You can imagine the strains it puts on someone let alone those who are taking care of him. He underwent surgery to make sure that that the scar tissue on that part of the brain but it won't an easy road to recovery. In order to make it a little better, you need to find her. The sooner the better...'' Added the doctor before he walked out

Mr. and Mrs. Bhalla, Mihir and Shagun all stood and watched the doctor walked away not sure what to do. Ishita was still adamant none of them contacted her and she was in no mood to even listen to them.

'Get out... I do not want that just leave...'' They heard Raman scream in the room causing all of them to rush to him

'What is it?'' Asked his mother

'This one keeps on piercing me again and again as if she is just enjoying it...'' He yelled

'Look I am just trying to find a viable vein where I can place the cannula but he won't stay still...'' Said the nurse

'Raman just relax... Let her do her job...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'I am tired... I want to leave this place. I feel fine I do not understand what I am even still doing here. And can someone tell me where the hell my wife is...'' Said Raman

''Can't this wait...?'' Asked Mihir looking at the Nurse

'Fine... It is medicine that we will need to administer in an hour's time so I can wait...But find a way to keep him calm...'' Said the nurse before walking out

'Okay... Raman stop being childish...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Why won't any of you tell me what happened to my wife...'' Said Raman and Santosh just kept quiet

'Did something bad happen to her? Why won't you tell me? I have been listening to your bullshit stories but now I know something is not right. She would never leave me just like that.'' He said clearly distraught

'Look I told you, she is out of the country but...'' Shagun tried to explain but Raman interrupted

'Who asked you? What are you even doing here?'' He said turning to Mihir as he asked

'Why is she always here?''

'Uhhh she is... To be honest I have been asking myself that for years...'' Said Mihir smiling

'Mihir stop it... Raman just walk down...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Here have your drugs...'' Said Santosh

'I am not having any drugs until you bring my wife here. Until then, I want you all to leave...'' Said Raman

'Raman...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'No... Papa... I know you have never really like Ishita but she is my wife and you are going to have to get used to the fact that she is her to stay...'' said Raman and Mihir looked at him mumbling to himself

'This is just too depressing to listen to...'' Before he walked out only to bump into the nurse

'Excuse me... There are people who want to see you. They are down in the cafeteria...'' Said the nurse

'Oh... Okay I will go check...'' Said Shagun

'No... They asked for all of you...'' Said the nurse

'Why...'' Said Santosh

'I didn't ask madam...'' Said the nurse before she walked out

Santosh and everyone else quickly made their way all in a way hoping that it was Ishita who had showed up. When they got there, they could see she was seated with Romi, Mihika, and Shlok as well as couple of other people who by the looks of it were other lawyers.

'Oh God thank you so much for coming...'' Said Santosh

'Do not be quick to thank us yet...'' Said Romi

'Please have a seat...'' Said Shlok and Mihir who was already excited by the fact that Ishita was coming back. Some one needed to get that Bhalla house back in order

'What do you want'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Well for starters we need to make this legal...'' Said Ishita

'Legal in what way...'' Said Shagun a bit worried

'Relax... I d not want anything to with him.'' Said Ishita

'If you need my client to help, you will need to fulfill a number of things.'' Said Romi

'Okay what do you want?'' asked Mr. Bhalla as he finally sat down

'First, the terms of the first legal contract stand. Under no circumstances should they be challenged...'' Said Romi

'Fair enough...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Wait what are the terms of the first contract...'' Asked Mrs. Bhalla#

'Raman signed away his custody rights seven years ago and it will stay that way no matter what you think you found out or didn't'' Says Shlok

'What...? When did Raman sign these? Is he mad?'' Said Mrs. Bhalla

'Ask your husband, we cannot get into that now...'' Said Romi

'Second, after the period that we shall give you that is nonnegotiable, Raman is to sigh the divorce papers and grant Ishita this divorce once and for all...'' Said Romi

'That is fair enough...'' Said Shagun who was more than happy with that

'Whoa... wait... Papa what makes you think Raman will agree to this.'' Said Mihir

'What sort of question is that?'' Said Shagun

'Well... Have you ever wondered why he never divorced her in that first place...'' Said Mihir

'Oh he said it had something to do with her wanting money from him...'' Said Shagun

'Does she look like she wants any money from anyone...'' Asked Mihir causing Mihika to put her hand on her mouth and hide her smile

'He is in no place to do anything so I will handle this thank you...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Okay then, these are the two things that we want and my client will only give you 12 months to find a way to fix whatever problem you son has because after that. She is done no matter whether he is fine or not. Weekends are taken and she won't be there playing Mrs. Raman Kumar Bhalla and that is also nonnegotiable... If you agree to these terms, just sign in these documents.'' Said Romi as his associates handed them three documents

Mr. Bhalla looked at them and then started going through the documents and all the while Ishita, Mihika and Shlok just sat there and watched

'What happens if we do not agree...'' Said Santosh

'That is easy... I just grab my bag and my very well professional lawyers and walk out and believe me this time you will not find me. I will make sure of it...'' Said Ishita

'Fine... I need to change a few things here. You will not be allowed t go out with anyone without my permission and knowledge. I don't want my son to be disgraced. And he shouldn't know about your bas***d kids...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

Ishita scoffed shaking her head before she looked at him

'Careful Mr. Bhalla, Insulting mychildren is something I won't take...'' Said Shlok

'And you seem to forget, you need me not the other way round. If you won't treat me and my family with respect, the deal is off...'' Said Ishita

'Bhalla... Apologize...'' Said Snatosh

'What nonsense...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

I said apologize...'' SaIid Snatosh

Mr. Bhalla knew when not to piss his wife because when she wanted to, she could be worse than him and there was that little factor, he loved her to death.

'I am sorry...'' He mumbled much to everyone's surprise

'Okay...'' Said Santosh

'Oh no I think you need to understand the consequences if any of the terms of this deal are breached...'' Said Romi

'What happens...'' Asked Shagun

'Well... You know that clause that your father in law to be oput in that initial contract where you and him made Ishita sign that confidentiality clause...'' Said Romi to which Shagun answered

'Yeah what happened to it...''

'It becomes null and void...'' Said Romi something that pissed off Mr. Bhalla

'What does that mean...'' Asked Shagun to which Mihir turned and said

'It means dumbass that she can sue Raman for everything he owns and that means everything he is involved in. And given how poorly he treated her or you people treated her, she will win...''

'This is illegal you can't do this...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Actually I can. You're not the only one who can manipulate the law...'' Said Romi

'Get out... Right now ... Stand up and get out...'' He said and Ishita stood up grabbed her bag and began to make her way out

'Ishita wait...'' Called Santosh

'Listen I do not have time for this. I am a very busy woman...'' Said Ishita

'Just wait...'' Said Santosh before she turned to her husband and said

'Look I do not know what you did and I do not care. I also d not care that your ego is being bruised right now but that is my son's life we are talking about. If anything happens to him Vandu I swear forget what you know about me the wrath I wll bring down on you, you will not be able to comprehend...''

'Just give me time for my lawyer to go through. We will meet here again...'' Said Mr. Bhalla to which Mihir smiled looking at Ishita and mouthed

'Thank you...'' He was the only person in that room who understood that Ishita's being here, as much as it was about getting what she deserved, she also wanted to help Raman because given everything else she still loved him.
