'I came home and Ishita had had the surgery without me...'' Said Raman

'Surgery to remove the stillbaby you mean?'' Said Vandu

'Yes...'' Answered Raman

'She didn't go with you...'' Asked Vandu

'No she didn't...'' Said Raman

'Why not...'' Asked Vandu

'Because I... I ...'' Said Raman as he tried remembering until he finally said

'I couldn't get off work to take her. Oh My God... I couldn't get off work...'' He finally sad with a realization that he made him disappointed in himself

Meanwhile back at Ishita's place, Shlok had managed to go pick up the lawyer and get back just in time for when Raman left. This was the first time she was going to tell her family and also in a way Shlok why exactly she had decided to go back to that house.

It had so much to do with the reasons they gave but also for her to try and undo a wrong that she herself created years ago. Her parents had kept around while Jai and Neelu had managed to take the kids to the park to play. Everyone had gathered in the living room with Romi as well who was the only person who knew exactly why she was there.

'Okay now that everyone is here I guess we can start...'' Said Romi

'This is Kushan Mehra, Raman's lawyer and also very trusted best friend...'' Said Ishita

'Hey...'' Said Kushan

'Why is he here?'' Asked Mrs. Iyer

'Papa... I know you really do not want to hear anything or anything involved with Raman but just be patient and let me explain why he is here...'' Said Ishita and her father reluctantly agreed

'Alright... You my parents and in a way Mihika too has a version of events that I only wanted you to know mainly because I was too embarrassed to tell you all the complete truth of what actually happened.'' Said Ishita as tears began feeling her eyes

'Ishu what are you...'' Shlok tried to stop her but she wasn't having it

'After I... I mean us... I and Raman lost the baby as you are all aware it took a toll on our relationship. He stopped talking to me I stopped talking to him and in a way we sort of grew apart. Then the repercussions of what happened to us, you are all aware...'' She said

'Yeah but so the hell what... You made a mistake...'' Mrs. Iyer tried to say but Shlok interpreted

'Let her finish...'' Said Shlok

Ishita took a deep breath and told them exactly what was going on, why she was doing what she was doing and why it was imperative that she stayed with Raman until he was in the right frame of mind to handle everything. It was a bit of shock to everyone but mostly her parents because they couldn't fathom that she was capable of some of the thing she had told them. So with tears in her eyes she looked at her father and said

'That is the reason I am really doing this. I have to do right by everyone, my kids, you, Mihika, Shlok, but mostly him. He deserved better than that...''

'Oh My God...'' Said Mihika as she sat back

'How long have you known this...'' Said Shlok

'Two days after Shagun came to meet us, Suraj called me. I investigated further and that it is how I came to know about this.'' Said Ishita

'Why didn't you tell me...'' He asked

'Because I would be dammed than let you gave up something else for me. I know you are trying to fix your relationship with your parents. A relationship that is bad by the way because of me. I wanted to do something right for once and not have you clean up my messes again.'' She said tears in her eyes

'Okay but how does Kushan here come in...'' Said Mrs. Iyer

'Raman for some reason over the 7 years forgot or neglected to change his documents and put them inorder and since he is not in the right frame of mind to handle this, I become sole beneficiary and thus as of this minute, I am in charge of his estates...'' Said Ishita

'What do you mean by his estates...'' Shlok said

'I mean everything he owns is still half mine and since he is not capable right now, I own it all...'' Said Ishita

'Whoa... Does his father know this...'' Said Mihika

'Yes and No...'' Said Kushan

'Meaning...'' Said Mrs. Iyer

'Right now he still thinks Ishita owns a few estates, Shares here and a few property there. Raman changed everything up on...'' Said Kushan keeping quiet as he looked at Ishita

'On what...'' Shlok asked

'On the night of his accident he was coming from Kushan's office that day having finalized everything...'' Said Ishita

'I don't know... When all this is over I hope to ask him that'' Answered Ishita

'I know I should hate him still but now I kind of feel sorry for him... How could you do that to him'' Said Mihika a bit confused

'When we are angry we tend to do things not thinking. I thought I was doing the right thing because I was led to believe he was choosing Shagun over me and jealousy got the better of me. It almost cost him his business, his family, and if I am not mistaken may have almost cause him his life...'' She said her voice breaking as she said

'This could have turned south really fast. Is that why you wouldn't let us tell him when you got better'' Said Mihika

''Yes and No...I came back to Delhi...'' She answered

'Wait... What'' Said a surprised Shlok

'I did and I went to see him but when I got there, he was getting engaged'' Said Ishita her voice breaking again as she cleared her throat. This was hard to say and she was breaking there was no hiding that. That day played in her mind and it still hurt like it was yesterday

Mr. Iyer looked at his daughter and he had to admit that for the first time in those 7 years he was looking at Ishita with no mask. It was like all along they were looking at her with rose colored glasses on and it was the first time they were coming off. She was miserable than she led on.

'Oh God how long have you carried that guilt around'' Asked her dad but she just kept quiet and let the tears that she had kept in just flow not minding that they were seeing her

'Ishu... It is okay... I know you are here and not there with him because you promised me that you would not go back so I am taking back that promise. You allowed fighting for what you want. It doesn't matter how any reasons you give I can see it even if you don't...'' Said Mrs. Iyer

'No... I am not. With Raman I lost that right...'' She said wiping her tears

'Okay so what is that plan...'' Said Shlok and together they began thinking of ways to salvage a damage that was done 7 years ago

Back at the therapist's office, Vandu was still trying to get through to Raman but it wasn't going so easy. Raman did want to know but he was also subconsciously afraid to know that it blocked his ability to try and beat the amnesia.

'Couldn't you get off work...'' Vandu asked

'I had a deal I was working on so I stayed back. Now that I think about it, it was so stupid. I tried to get back home in time but got into an accident and that is what I pretty much remember. Now that I think about it, I think my marriage fell apart on that day because I wasn't there when she needed me'' He said feeling so horrible and it was visible

'Did you tell her...'' Said Vandu

'Tell her what...'' He asked

'How sorry you were...'' She said

'I don't know... I don't remember'' Said Raman

'Okay lets go back a bit. Tell me what you and Mihir were talking about before you had that flash back'' She said

'Nothing really we were talking about how I and Ishu met then Simmi walked in...'' He said but Vandu interrupted

'Wait... Go back... You were telling him about how you met Ishita...'' She said surprised

'Yes... Why do you seem so surprised'' He replied

'Because you never talked about that the last time you were here.In fact you vehemently refused to do that. You said it might be too painful. What happened between that time and then with Mihir...'' Vandu asked

'Nothing much... Ishita moved in I guess. Her room is just down the hall by the way... And she hadbegun opening up a little until the whole Aditya business happened.'' He said

'Right... Okay tell me from where you ended with Mihir, what happened at the rift...'' Said Vandu

'Are you serious right now...'' He said

'Yes... Go back first before moving forward. Besides I have noticed that talking about your good times with her relaxes you. You realize these flashes you get only happen when you talk about her like this...'' Said Vandu much to realization of Raman causing him to sit back down and say

'Okay... At the rift it is... She grabbed my hand, rather tightly might I add and walked out with me...''

'What is the matter with you? Are you like stalking me or something'' Ishita said frowning

'You look so damn sexy when you mad. Has anyone every told you...'' He said absent minded

'What... Orrghhh you're disgusting...'' She said before turning on her heels as she tried to walk away

'Wait... Wait... Wait...'' He said grabbing her hand and causing her to turn and look at him

'Look I am sorry. When you're around me I just sort of lose all sense of logic. I want to say something else but weird things come out of my mouth. I swear I am not some pervert stalking you...'' He said and she stayed looking at him cautiously

'Okay look, I really just wanted to apologize of the coffee mishap. It was my fault and I am sorry for that I really am...'' He said and she relaxed a little

'Fine... Apology accepted... Now can you leave me alone...'' She said

'I am afraid I can't do that...'' He said

'Why not...'' She asked

'Because you have already captured my heart...'' He said his hand on his chest

'How cheesy and filmy...'' She said, chuckled a little as she smiled

'It is the truth plus it got you to smile at me so that is a bonus...'' He said

'Whatever... I am going back in there because I still have a few things to do...'' She said walking away causing him to shout out

'Tell me your name at least...'' And she turned smiling before she shouted back

'Ishita... Ishita Iyer.''

'She was the most stubborn girl I had ever met and yet I wanted nothing more than to get to know her better. It is going to sound ridiculous but I knew she was the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with...'' He said chuckling

'Why is that?'' Vandu asked

'Because I knew earlier on that she was NEVER going to take any sort of bullshit from me...'' He said laughing a little before he added

'It is strange but she grounded me. It was a perfect balance and she always kept my ego in check. Taught me to be humble, something my dad hated by the way...''

'Why did he? Wasn't that a good thing...'' Vandu said

'He thought it made me and my business sense weak...'' Said Raman shaking his head thinking about it

'What happened next...'' Asked Vandu

'Well she still refused to go out with me and I just decided to befriend most of her friends. I hang around places she went to, spent time with her friends and she to be honest was forced to kind of tolerate me until I pretty much wore her down and she had no choice but spend time with me...'' He said causing and Vandu chuckled too

'You're really persistent. I can give you that...'' Said Vandu

'Yeah... When it comes to the things I really want I tend to be. That is why I can't seem to understand how I let my marriage fall apart and even got engaged to someone else.'' He said shaking his head

This was difficult and he was doing everything not to freak out the people taking care of him although he knew none of them were probably helping him because all they did was just shield him.

'You have to be patient and I know it is hard to hear now but we will get there. Just give it time...'' Said Vandu

'I hope so...'' He said a bit disheartened

'Okay then what happened next...'' She asked

'Right... We spent a few days together and she and I had begun getting along. I wouldn't say we are friends or anything, I don't think we ever were. Anyway this particular day I was with her, her sisters and brother, Romi and we were hanging out at this coffee shop next to the rift and she and her sister were talking about Shagun and this guy who had a crush on her

'Shagun you can't just keep on pushing him away like he is not even here...'' Said Mihika

'Why not... I am not obligated to like him am I'' Shagun said

'What is so bad about him that you won't even consider it...'' Said Ishita

'Okay who are we talking about...'' Asked Raman

'Shlok has a crush on Shagun. He has been asking her out for the longest time but she always says no...'' Said Mihika

'Why... Come on...'' Said Raman

'I think he is really cute...'' Said Ishita laughing

'Plus I think he really likes you...'' She added

'Whatever... He is way too simple and too shy for my liking. I like a manly man... you know...'' Said Shagun

'Oh so you're saying you're not interested then...'' Said Romi

'No she is saying he is not loaded enough for her...'' Said Ishita

'Don't blame me for loving what I love...'' Said Shagun as she got up to try and leave but Shlok called

'Shagun wait...''

'Oh Blimey... ' She said under her nose

'Shagun behave... Hi Shlok...'' Said Ishita

'Hi Ishu how are you all doing...'' Said Shlok

Shlok was a very smart and humble boy who like most boys at college had lots for Shagun. She always blew all of them off and only considered the ones that fulfilled her list. They were to be sexy, cute, fit and most importantly posh. That was her list, that is what she wanted and this is a list she stuck with down to the tee.

Romi and Ishita would always tell her that she would one day miss out on something amazing but she would never listen and it is this that led to her missing out on the most important thing or person that ever walked into her life, the one person who would screw up every relationship for to have him back.

'Shagun hey...'' Shlok said as he handed her a rose

'Hey... Thanks...'' Shagun answered holding the flower as carelessly as if she wanted to throw it away

'So can I take you out sometime... I am going to keep on asking until the day you say yes...'' Said Shlok

'Yeah well keep on waiting for a life time... Bye ya'll am out...'' Said Shagun as she walked away

'Shagun... My God...'' Said Mihika as she threw her head back laughing

'Crap... Now I have no date for the evening... Mihika, mind coming?'' Said Shlok

'Oh sorry buddy, I am no sloppy second...'' Said Mihika laughing as she walked away as well

'Oh Shit, I forgot as well... Raman wanna come...'' Asked Ishita

'Come where...'' Raman asked

'This really stupid black tie event that I was supposed to attend with a date but... Anyway want to come...'' She asked again

'Why are you asking me out now...'' Said Raman

'I am not asking you out. I am asking if you want... You know what... This is stupid... Romi... Want to come with me. There will be models serving...'' Said Ishita much to Romi's excitement

'No... No... I never said I won't come. Tell me when and where and I will be there...'' Said Raman

CHAPTER 15 SCROLL DOWN

'Why are you asking me out now...'' Said Raman

'I am not asking you out. I am asking if you want... You know what... This is stupid... Romi... Want to come with him. There will be models serving...'' Said Ishita much to Romi's excitement

'No... No... I never said I won't come. Tell me when and where and I will be there...'' Said Raman

'She smiled and gave me the details of what where I was to meet her. This is the day she changed her mind about me. I think this is the night she began liking me. It was such a geeky event because they were launching some sort of app that she had helped with the coding. But it was a fantastic night. She was more free and happy and even the more sexy because I got to see her in her world doing what she did best and it was kinda sexy to watch...'' He said smiling

'What makes you think it was the night she changed her mind that night...'' Asked Vandu and he looked at her and smiled

'That was an amazing night... I haven't had that much fun in such a long time...'' Said Ishita

'Really... So you see... I can be good company if you gave me a chance...'' He said smiling

'Fine... I will give you that. I am surprised though that you kind of fit in. I thought you were going to be out of your depth and were going to dread it...'' She said

'Are you kidding me... I was routing for this girl that I really liked... What more fun can there be since she was kicking ass...'' He said causing her to smile and blush a little and he noticed

'You're not so bad Ravan Kumar...'' She said

'Hold on... Ravan Kumar ...'' Said Vandu

'Yeah... It was something she used to call me and she knew I hated it so she just continued...'' Said Raman smiling

'So will I get a second date...'' He said

'Who says this was a date...'' She said

'So it wasn't...'' He asked

'I am not sure yet...'' Ishita replied as she smiled

Raman took her hand in his and this time she didn't stop him but instead held his. They walked together talking about everything until he made it to her place. She got there not wanting the night to end and in all honesty even he didn't.

'Well this is my stop...'' She said

'I can see that... ' He said smiling

'I had an amazing time by the way in all honest I did so thank you...'' She said

'No... Thank you for inviting me. I would have never known how smart you were if I didn't come. I still don't get why you hide that...'' He said

'I don't hide it. It is just the one thing I am not ready to share that much just yet...'' She said

'I get that...'' He said smiling as he let go of her hand

'Alright I will see you later...'' She said

'Yeah... yeah... Sure thing...'' He replied

'Good night...'' She said

'Good night...'' He replied and she turned to her heels and walked away. He stayed there standing as she disappeared in through the gate with this satisfactory feeling as if he had achieved something that night, and indeed he had.

As he turned to walk away she came back running from the gate and when he turned to look, she was throwing herself into his chest holding his face in hers and she plated her lips on his.

He arched back for balance as he stood on his toes and when he finally got it, he leaned in his hands on her waist as he kissed her back. He ran his hands through her back to the nape of her neck as he held it pulling out a little as he looked into her eyes. She looked back at him and smiled before she hugged him whispering

'Don't take too long to ask for that second date...''

'And she walked away back through the gate. It was our first kiss and it was messy and unexpected in so many ways for the both of us and yet we both knew it was something that was meant to be. I still remember how red her lips were when she looked at me...'' Said Raman smiling

'How long before you knew you were in love with her...'' Vandu asked

'I always knew... But it took her some few more months before she said it out loud to me. It was so goofy...'' He said letting out a soft laugh

'Why is that...'' Vandu asked

'Simmi had come to see me and I had somehow neglected to tell her that I had a sister. So when she saw us...''

Ishita made her way to Raman's apartment excited since they were going to spend the day together. She had been busy and so had he so they were not spending as much time together as they anticipated. She made her way to his place a bit anxious given this was the first time that she got to meet him at his place.

She knocked but the door was open and against her better judgment she decided to walk in. When she made it to his sitting room, she could see him and another girl and she was throwing her hands around him as she screamed

'I love you... I love you... I love you...''

Ishita stood there feet planted on the ground as she looked at them as she didn't know whether or not to walk out or confront him or just stay there. The girl turned and she could see Ishita standing there like she was in shook

'Uhhh can we help you with something...'' She asked causing Raman to turn and look at her

'Oh hey Ishu...''

'When I called her name, she sort of just turned and ran out of the room. I had to chase after her until the gate

'She didn't stay to ask but just ran away'' Said Vandu

'No which was always her weakness when she is angry or upset she never shared with anyone. It was always I can do it all by myself...'' Said Raman

'So what happened when you caught up with her...'' Said Vandu

All she kept on doing was screaming at me...''

'Leave me alone... Leave me alone I want to go home...'' She cried

'Will you calm down Ishu... It is not what you think just calm down...'' Said Raman as he held onto her hand but she kept on pulling away

'I don't want to hear it just please leave me alone Raman...'' She cried

'No... Just ... Okay come with me...'' He insisted

'No...'' She refused

'Ishu if you don't walk back in there with me, I will carry you there. Your choice ...'' He said and when she looked at him she could see he wasn't kidding.

She reluctantly agreed as she withdrew her hand from his hold and walked ahead of him back into his apartments

'Raman what is going on...'' Asked Simmi as she looked at Ishita as if she was crazy

'Introduce yourself...'' Said Raman looking at Simmi

'Why...'' Said Simmi

'Do as I say or that credit card finds its way back into my pocket...'' Said Raman

'Okay fine...'' Said Simmi as she walked to where Ishita was and said

'Hey my name is Simmi. I am his favorite girl in the world. '

Simmi could see Ishita had begun tearing up and she figured why not, have some fun

'I am his girlfriend and you must be...''

Ishita heard that and she turned to walk out gain but Raman stood in her way makingherturn around as he said

'Simmi stop playing around am serious...'' He said

'Okay... Okay... Am Simmi his baby sister'' She said

Ishita looked at her and the back at Raman as tears that had filled in her eyes began streaming down and she felt really stupid for how she had reacted. Raman folded his hands resting them on his chest and looked at her.

'You're going to have to trust me somehow... It is the only way this is going to work. You really think that little of me. That I would ever do that to you'' He said a bit disappointed

'Ohhh your Ishita...'' Said Simmi making Ishita realize that Simmi knew her and thus he had been talking to his family about her

'I get what you mean Bro. She is gorgeous...'' Said Simmi

'Simmi walk away... Mihir must be waiting outside for you.'' Said Raman who knew his nosy sister was not helping at all and Simmi put her hands up walking out as she realized she wasn't needed here

Ishita just stayed quiet, a bit embarrassed and just sort of sunk into the chair that she was standing next to. This was a realization even for her that the guy she thought she may have been just fooling around with, she was actually more involved that she anticipated

Raman walked to where she was and knelt down in front of her taking her hand in his again as he asked

'This is the second time this is happening. What is going on?''

'I don't know... I just... I don't know why I get crazy sometimes...'' She said

'Don't do that... You have to talk to me and don't tell me you don't know because you do. What is happening...'' Insisted as he bent down forcing her to look into his eyes

'I don't know. You and me... This... Us... We shouldn't work. We are too different for it to even work and it scares me that all I seem to think about is you. When I see another girl flirting or being friendly I get unbelievable jealous and I can't...'' She said looking at him and he was looking straight into her eyes

'And then this...'' She added

'What...'' He asked with a smirk on his face because he had made a sense of what she was saying even though she hadn't made hers yet

'This... You... You look into my eyes and I feel like you are finding out every little secret of mine and I know I should look away and I try but I can't because I kind of like it and look forward to it...'' She said sighing but she was still looking at him

Raman smiled as he looked back at her and she began relaxing a little. He leaned in resting his head on her forehead as he said

'Well my dear... I love you too... Just please stop acting crazy... It is kind of scary...'' He saidletting out a soft laugh

'What...'' She said

'Yes... I love you too except I actually said it instead of moving round in circles...'' He said

She looked at him and tears filled her eyes as she sighed with relief.

'Yeah...'' She said

'Yes... I am hopelessly completely and utterly in love with you and all your craziness...'' He said as he leaned in and held the pier of her neck as he looked at her lips

Ishita slowly coming forward held his face as she slowly run her fingers on his lips that were begging for a kiss. She tilted her head a little as she cuddled his face in her hands and placed her lips on his.

Raman felt her hands moves slowly through his hair giving him a sensation that he knew he would want for the rest of his life. He pulled her in and kissed her back with just as much aspiration and wanting as she did.

She drew back for much needed air as she rested her head on his forehead and she said

'I love you...''

'Ring... Ring...'' Off the bell went

'Well that brings our time of the day to an end.'' Said Vandu

'Right...'' he said letting out a deep breath

Vandu looked at him and she could see he was more relaxed than he was when he first walked in that morning which obligated her to ask

'Do you feel better''

'Yeah I actually do thank you...'' He said letting out a soft laugh

'Good... Now hold on to that feeling until next time...'' She said

'I will try...'' Said Raman

'Okay... I have an assignment for you. You want to find out a few things from your wife and the only way to do that is if she begins trusting you again.'' Said Vandu

'But I don't know how to do that'' He added

'Maybe she just needs to spend time with you such that she knows you're still her Ravan Kumar as she calls you... So your assignment is ... As you're going back into the journey of the past, take her along with you'' Said Vandu causing Raman to smile as he thanked her and walked out of the office with a number of things on his mind

Meanwhile back at the Bhallas, Mr. Bhalla wasn't at all elated with the fact that Ishita was taking her sweet time getting back yet she knew she was contracted to do what was right.

'I don't understand what the need was to stay away for a week. What if he has another episode then what'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Oh Vishu please, her child was sick. I don't even know why we are arguing about this. What happened to you anyway? She is a mother and her kids take priority, isn't that what she said when she signed anyway...'' Said Santosh

'Look all I am saying is I am paying her to take care of Raman for a year and she isn't...'' Said Mr. Bhalla but Santosh interrupted

'No... No... You are not paying her remember. She is here on her own accord because she wants a divorce. And correction, she is here to help him remember, not take care of him. That is her job...'' Said Santosh pointing at Shagun before she added

'She is supposed to be the fiance isn't she...'' Said Santosh

'I would if he let me...'' Said Shagun

'Buhuhu... He doesn't remember me... You supposed to be his wife to be, find a way...'' Said Santosh before she turned to her heels leaving as she said

'If you ask me she did the right thing. My grandbabies needed their mother...''

'Why does she call them her grand babies? This is not good, what if Raman hears her...'' Said Shagun who in the back of her mind knew it might actually be true

'I don't know... I am working on proving her wrong. Sooner or later Raman is going to want the truth and I am going to be there to give it to him. I won't allow her to brain wash my son and my family. I will find proof'' Said Mr. Bhalla before he grabbed his phone and walked away

Shagun watched him leave and for the first time since she began this over seven years ago, she felt sorry for them. There was a possibility that they were all lied to and because none of them talked to each other, the truth is never going to come out. She would have done the right thing and tried and found out what happened but then it would mean the possibility of losing Raman and that wasn't a possibility she wanted to explore.

She slowly walked into the kitchen finding Santosh who was preparing dinner. Santosh turned and looked at Shagun and asked

'I have always wondered what happened to your brother. I wondered how he fit into your story and it didn't make sense to me. Then I saw him with Ishita and it only meant one thing, the night you walked in here claiming Romi knew and how he tried to cover up for her... I figured it out. Your brother was trying to cover something up, but it wasn't Ishita's pregnancy results and it most definitely wasn't her affair. So my question to you is, what was he really covering up? And who was he covering for? Was it you...''

'No it wasn't and I don't know...'' Said Shagun

'See it is things like this that make me not like you at all. Your very secretive, secretive people are the worst kind because everything you do is in the dark. How do I trust my son with you now...'' Said Santosh
