CHAPTER NINETY FOUR

Ishita fell down hitting the floor as the guard opened her cell concerned for her safety. As soon as he approached, she pushed him as hard as she could and given she got him off guard, he feel backwards hitting his head on the metal bars.

'Oh My God...'' Said Raman not believing his eyes

Ishita checked his pulse and turned to the camera with thumbs up. She removed a hair clip that was holding her pony tail and un-cuffed herself. She then began removing her dress and beneath she was wearing a body suit. She put her dress in the corner of the room and said

'Okay... Show me the way...''

Raman looked at her seeing a whole new demeanor. It was like she was a whole different person all together. Mihika looked at him and smirked given how surprised he was, causing her to say

'Meet the Ishita we know and love...'' And Raman absentminded said

'Yeah... Wow...''

'Which begs the question, if she wanted to prove your father wrong 7 years ago... You really think she couldn't...'' She said causing Raman to look at her lost in thought

'Okay... Ishu there is a vent just above where you are standing, do you see it...'' Said Shlok

'Yeah...'' She said

'Get it open and Get in their... I will take control of the surveillance...'' Said Shlok as he began typing away

She couldn't get their so she grabbed the baton of the officer and kept on hitting the vent until she got it open. She then had to jump and stretch before she finally got to the vents and awaited further instructions

'Ishu... Okay... Go north about 5 yards then turn right...'' Said Mihika as Shlok kept on jumbling the surveillance

'Okay their now what...'' She asked

'Go further ahead...'' Said Mihika and Ishita obliged

'So now what... Do I go left or right or just go ahead'' Ishita asked

'Left... Then right again... Then left... You will be just below Commissioner's office'' Said Mihika and Ishita obliged. After a few a few minutes she turned back her com and said

'Guys... We have a problem...''

'What...'' Asked Mihika

'This office is very much wide open and those cameras are still running...'' Said Ishita

'Bala... Where the hell are you...? Go back and ...'' Said Shlok and Bala knowing what he wanted answered

'I am on it...'' He said

'Shlok... Surveillance ...'' Said Mihika

'Just a minute... Got it... Okay Ishita you have exactly 4 minutes to be in and out of that room...'' Said Shlok

'Okay... Got you... Should I go in...? '' She asked

'Wait for Bala's signal...'' Said Shlok and as if on cue Bala walked back into that place going to the Commissioner's personal secretary as he said

'You need to lock that office... '

'What...'' She said

'The Commissioner asked that I tell you to lock his office...'' Said Bala

'Oh... Alright ...'' Said the secretary as she got up and did just that dropping the blinds and locking the door

'Ishu... You are up...'' Said Shlok

Ishita got out of the vent feet first and landed on the Commissioner's desk. She looked around just to make sure that the blinds were properly dropped before she began looking around.

'What is she looking for? His computer is right their...'' Said Raman anxious

'We do not need the computer. We need a laptop...'' Said Mihika

'Ishu... We are running out of time...'' Said Shlok

'Just shut up and give me a minute...'' Said Ishita as she stood and looked around

She then noticed in one of the draws she had opened that it had a false bottom. She walked to where it was and removed the compartment saying

'I found it...''

'Okay... I will buy you some time but...'' Shlok began and Ishita said

'Oh relax... This will only take a minute...''

'Fine... Just hurry...'' Said Shlok

'Shlok... Shlok... In coming ...'' Bala said

'What is it...'' Said Shlok

'Commissioner is coming back in...'' Said Bala

'How is that possible...'' Said Shlok

'Abhi... What the hell...'' Said Mihika

'Sorry... Their deal went south... We had to come in... He got away before we could arrest him and now all your covers are blown'' Said Abhimanyu

'Crap... Ishu ...'' Said Shlok as she looked at the monitors

'You need to get the hell out of their... Now ...'' Said Shlok

'Just a few more seconds wait...'' Said Ishita as she kept n typing away

'Dammit Ishu get out...'' Said Mihika

'A few more seconds... Buy me some time...'' Said Ishita still seated with the laptop

'Bala ... Do something...'' Said Mihika

Bala stood up walking to the direction where the Commissioner had just walked in and stood in front of him

'Get out of my way...'' Said the Commissioner

'Why... What are you hiding'' Said Bala

'You can't talk to me like that...'' Said the Commissioner

'Why wouldn't I... Why do you seem like you have been running and yet you just left the evidence room. Seems suspicious to me... I don't think there is any room to run back their which can only leave on thing... Fear... What are you afraid of'' Said Bala

The Commissioner desperate grabbed Bala by his collar pushing him to the wall as he said

'You and that idiotic crew you call friends are going to be sorry that tried to come up against me. I will make you beg for me to stop and once I am done with you, you will be lucky to even show your face in public let alone around here...''

'Let go of my shirt... ' Said Bala calmly much to the Commissioner's irritation

'Now look around very careful and see what you have just done...'' He added causing the Commissioner to look around and there was a room full of people who were staring at him one of them asking

'Hey Boss are you alright...''

'Yeah am good...'' Said Bala freeing himself from the Commissioner's hold

'Ishu... Come on... Get out...'' Said Shlok

Raman had begun regretting why he had walked into that room in the first place. This was way too nerve racking and he knew if that Commissioner walked into that room with Ishita there, there was no way he was allowing her to leave alive. He feared for her and yet she seemed so calm during the whole ordeal.

'Okay... I am done'' She said putting back the laptop and stepped on the table to go back where she came from

Back in the room, the Commissioner knew he had been busted and needed to get out of there. He watched Bala and remembered Mihika and how she swiftly took the Bhallas and then Abhimanyu who almost arrested them using RAW and he figured out that they had been played all along

'You... You all... You ...'' He said

'Careful... You may say something you don't mean...'' Said Bala arrogantly

'You won't get away with this...'' He shouted

'Oh please... I got all the evidence I need... The one in the false bottom was especially intriguing...'' Said Bala causing the Commissioner to look at him shocked before he dashed out a making his way to the office

At that time Ishita had already put back things where they were and had made it back to the vent and was making her way back to the cell. He searched his office removing his laptop to see if everything was intact. Ishita had wiped it out completely taking everything that was on it as well as the flash drive that was in the drawer.

The Commissioner panicking tried to access his files but instead the Laptop crashed popping a message on the screen that said

'Mission MRK... BUSTED'' Before the screen turned black

'What... Where ... Where did it all go...'' He said confused as he began hitting random buttons but to no avail

He knew Ishita was written all over this and she had to have the flash drive. She couldn't have left the building. That would have been hard for her even if she had had help; she had to be in that building. He left his office grabbing a few officers and Bala seeing him heading towards the cells followed him with a few other officers

He was sure he was going to find her gone and there was no way she had made it back in that little time. He rushed in their going straight to her cell only to find her seated, still handcuffed all dressed up while the officer who was standing guard was seated outside seeming like he was sleeping. The Commissioner woke him up screaming as he asked

'What the hell are you doing...'' He said slapping him back to consciousness

'Sorry Sir...'' He said standing up a bit confused

'How will you keep an eye on her if you are asleep...'' Said the Commissioner

'I was... But she pushed me... And then I ... She pushed'' He said confused again

'I pushed you... Me... What am I, invisible man or may be woman in this case. You realize you are three times bigger than me and also I am locked in here, handcuffed... ' Said Ishita putting her hands up

'Yeah... This doesn't make sense...'' Said one of the Officers

'She must have stolen my keys and...'' Said the Officer who was standing guard

'Wouldn't that be idiotic of you then... Besides there is still that small matter ... I am in here... Handcuffed...'' Said Ishita before standing up and walking to the cell bars as she said

What happened out their... Tell me...''

'You... I swear you...'' Said the Commissioner turning to the guard as he said

'Search her... Search the entire cell...''

'Okay can we at least know what it is we are searching for...'' Said Bala as he walked into the cell walking to where Ishita was as helping her get up

'No... You are not allowed to participate in this search...'' Said the Commissioner and Bala put his hands up stepping out

NINETY FIVE SCROLL DOWN

CHAPTER NINETY FIVE

Ishita's cell was searched and she was searched as well but they found nothing. It was pretty clear that the Commissioner was majorly rattled and it was evident that even his officers were beginning to see that

'Sir... She is clean...'' Said the Officer

'I am telling you she was not here a few minutes ago... Something isn't right...'' Said the Commissioner

'I checked the surveillance videos and she was sitting here the entire time...'' Said another Officer

'Oh that was me...'' Said Shlok with pride as he watched all this unfold as well as Mihika and Raman

'Oh please...'' Said Mihika as she turned her coms on asking Bala who was now standing outside

'Did you get the data...'' She asked

'Yup... Waiting for Abhimanyu and I will make the arrest'' Said Bala

'Okay... I guess we have to wait...'' Said Mihika turning it off

Ishita was searched some more with the Commissioner being paranoid trying to figure out how the hell they pulled it off but he had no idea.

'How did you do it... How did you...'' He asked but she just smirked looking at him, something which made him even angrier that he grabbed her by the throat and began chocking her

Every officer ran to Ishita's rescue pulling the commissioner away and knowing he was out of hand they pulled him aside forcing him to leave the cell. Raman winced watching all this form the screen and he began feeling helpless.

'How the hell long before they take her out of that place...'' Said Raman

'Relax... Early morning, they will handle it...'' Said Shlok

'That is way too far...'' Said Raman

'Raman... It is like 4 hours from now... Relax...'' Said Shlok

'She is fine... She can handle it...'' Said Mihika trying to keep him calm

Back at CIB Offices, the Commissioner was making accusations and wanted them to begin the hunt of Mihika and Abhimanyu because he believed or was making everyone believe that they had something to do with it.

The Officers were looking at him like he was crazy given he had been going at this for quite a few hours. He was the Commissioner so once he gave an order, not many could turn him down.

As he kept on ranting and rating about how he was going to get to the bottom of things, in walked Abhimanyu with a bunch of RAW Agents with executive warrants asking for the Commissioner's arrest.

He tried to resist saying they didn't have proof but with what Ishita had got off the laptop, the arrests Abhimanyu had made which by the way had got Abhishek talking and the rest of the gang of Shagun, her boyfriend Sham and his father, everyone had been round and had been arrested.

Ishita made sure that once these arrests had been made, it was an open and shut case with no loopholes for any of them to escape and she had successfully done that.

'You have the right to remain silent, anything you say...'' On went Bala gloating as he read the Commissioner his rights thanking God that this stupid 10 year plus case had finally been out behind them

'Raman... Raman wake up...'' Said Shlok who had stayed up to wait for Mihir

'Oh is it done...'' He said as he sat up

'Uhh yeah... Everyone is arrested and the world is safe again...'' Said Mihir who had made it to the location to help Shlok with the pack up

'Mihir... God you are alright...'' Said Raman as he stood up hugging his brother

'Of course I am fine...'' Said Mihir amused at his reaction

'You never... I thought... Hold on... Do you work for the government too...'' Said Raman but Mihir just smiled and said

'I am a simple civilian who works for a multi-national company... RUADISH''

'That still doesn't answer my question'' Said Raman

'And you ask way too many of those...'' Said Mihir as he grabbed the box of equipment walking out

'Hey Shlok ...'' He turned but Shlok wasn't having it

'No way... Keep me out of probi's business...'' Shlok answered making Raman even more curious

'So where is Mihika...'' He asked knowing the only answers he was going to get were from Ishita

'Oh she went to pick her parents... We will meet them at the CIB Offices to pick Ishita'' Said Shlok as Raman grabbed the last box walking out with them

It was morning and CIB was a bit busy than usual and rightly given what Ishita and her team had done to them. It was the talk everywhere and people were being taken in and out of custody the entire morning. Ishita had to be cleared of all charges and so since she had been arrested with all the proper channels, she had to go through the same to be released before her records were sealed.

As far as the media was concerned, Sarika was always the backup plan when it came to Ishita's image and also that of her business. Once she convinced the world that she had been in London the entire week with her boyfriend Shlok who came back a day early, it didn't make sense that Ishita had been arrested on disappearance charges since no one disappeared.

The plan was clear, the company jet was to record that two passengers who worked for RUADISH, Shlok and Sarika, were to leave for a week to go to London and handle some company work buying fabrics for their new line. The jet did leave India for London and indeed two passengers were aboard but it wasn't the Sarika and Shlok but rather two RAW agents.

Shlok made it a point to go to the airport a day before Ishita was arrested. The managed to make it look like he had been aboard that jet and he was returning and a day later Sarika did the same, after they were certain that Abhishek had been arrested.

When Sarika ''came back'' and she made sure the media spotted her leaving the airport making it look like it was just a misunderstanding and that she was fine. Given the arrest of Abhishek the story was spanned in a way to make it look like he had forged all these charges to get back at Ishita who had refused to have an affair with him.

The media were fed some story of how the Commissioner was paid off my Abhishek to make the charges stick to Ishita even if they were false and this that is why they were arrested. The government didn't want a PR nightmare where its own people were selling guns and smuggling in terrorists. It would have been a disaster something the people above didn't want so that is the story they had fed the media.

Everything was going according to plan and Raman as well as the Iyers had gone to make sure that Ishita got home safe. They waited in the waiting area while they cleared her all the while her parents anxious and worried. She finally came out looking exhausted and rightly so

'Ishu...'' Mrs. Iyer called her as she walked out

'Hey Mom...'' She said as they handed her the scarf

'Oh honey... Are you okay...'' Asked a nervous Mrs. Iyer

'I am fine... I promise... I just need a bath... A very warm bath'' She said smiling as she tried to make her parents feel better

Her mother hugged her holding her tight as she sighed with relief not believing how smoothly that had gone. This had the potential to turn south even with all the planning but she was genuinely glad that her daughter was alright

'Papa...'' Ishita called her dad as she walked to where he was and hugged him

Mr. Iyer put his arms around her holding her tight as he said

'No more Ishita... No more...''

'I know dad... I promise...'' Said Ishita hugging her dad

Everyone came to her congratulating her on a mission well done all of then glad she was alright.

'I do not know about you but I am ready to go home...'' Ishita said

'Exactly...'' Said Mihika as she turned walking out with everyone not so far behind

All the while Raman was just standing in one place and didn't say anything to her. He in all honesty had a lot to say but just didn't quite know how to say it. Ishita walked to where he was standing in front of him but even she didn't say a thing.

She looked at him for a second or two before she stepped forward putting her hands around him pulling him into her embrace. This was much a relief for her as it was for him given the last couple of moths they both had been through.

'You are okay...'' He whispered

'I am okay...'' She answered fighting the urge not to break down because she knew she needed to be strong for everyone

Raman pulled out looking at her his eyes a bit teary knowing it was probably going to take his entire life time and more to pay her back for what she had done for him and his family

'Why...'' He asked

'Why what...'' Said Ishita as she took his hand in hers and walked out

'Why did you go through this... It wasn't on you to save him...'' He said causing Ishita to look at him a bit surprised

'Look... Do not get me wrong I am internally grateful for what you have done for me and my dad but... Why... We... My family... It has done nothing to deserve any of this from you... So ... Why ...'' Said Raman

'Honestly...'' She said causing him to nod in affirmation

'Revenge...'' She said

'Meaning...'' He said

'You know what I learnt about your father. He is a very proud man, arrogant even and very egotistic. I wanted to see the look on his face when he realized that this good for nothing characterless girl actually saved his life, saved his family. Knowing him, this will rip him to pieces rather than taking his money. I am everywhere he will be, in the eyes on my children, in his business, in his life, his not going to prison is dependent on what I hand in to RAW, and not forgetting his most prized possession, you, No matter our differences, you and him will never be the same...'' Said Ishita trying to be as cold as she could

Maybe this should have pissed Raman off, even Ishita expected that but it didn't and quite frankly he didn't buy it

He pulled back a little standing in front of her as he stared in her eyes as if he was going to find answers. He could tell she was holding her breath as if, if she breathed she would let out some sort of secret. The events of the last 9 months kept on flashing in his head and then he remembered

'Why didn't you come after me? I waited and waited but you didn't... When I took the first step and came back, you were getting engaged... You had moved on so I just did the same'' Said Ishita tears filling her eyes

'Regardless of everything, you're the best thing that ever happened to me. I hope you know that''

'I love you...''she whispered as a lone tear streamed down her face

'I really, really do...'' she repeated it

'I am about to find out how much you do actually trust me...''

And with that it finally hit home. He had learnt a few things about her in the last months to know she was really good at hiding her intentions and executing them as well. This reasoning, where she made herself into such a callous person, was not the Ishita he had come to know

'I don't believe you...'' He suddenly said

'What...'' She said baffled

'That is a load of bullshit and I do not believe you.'' He said staying firm

'Ishu... Come on we do not have time...'' Shlok called her

'Yeah... I am coming...'' Said Ishita

'Late for what...'' Said Raman

'Raman I need to go... Please go home, be with your family... Your father needs you right now...'' Said Ishita walking away

'Hold on... Ishita... 'Said Raman holding her hand

'What is going on? Please just tell me...'' He added

'Raman... Go home...'' Said Ishita reassuringly

Raman watched her leave and became frustrated. This was something she always did but this time he wasn't going to allow her to just walk in and out of his life without explanation and then leave again.

She couldn't possibly think that it was fair let alone okay for her to do this. They were married, and maybe it didn't quite mean the same to her but he wasn't going to allow her just walk away this time.

NINETY SIX SCROLL DOWN

CHAPTER NINETY SIX

It had been a couple of days since the whole debacle happened and things were just getting back to normal. Raman had been cleared of all while Mr. Bhalla was granted immunity for the ledger that RAW had used to nab not only Nazem but every corrupt CIB officer who was involved in that racket.

Ali Nazir was a bonus arrest no one expected. He had made a deal with the commissioner to give him intel on one of his officer CIB had arrested that is why he was at the warehouse with Nazem given they were associates.

Everything turned out okay, in fact everything turned out perfectly except for one, Ishita had disappeared. It wasn't like Raman had no idea where she was or how to get to her but he wasn't allowed to. Every time he called her she refused to pick and every time he tried to get anyone to tell him with whom she was living with, he was blocked on way or the other.

His father wanted to see Ishita as well because he had a lot of tell her and in a way be thankful as well but, he, just like Raman was not being allowed.

At first Raman thought it was just maybe she needed time away from everything and just wanted to spent time with her family and that she would come back home to him, but he was wrong. Simmi was a Raghav and when she got invited through Abhimanyu to the new Iyer residence she didn't miss a beat and told her brother about it.

Raman seeing this as an opportunity carried his parents as well as his brother and together they made their way to the Iyer residence. So when Mihika opened the door to see who was there she was a tad surprised

'Uhhh... Hi...'' She said

'Good Morning Mihika...'' Said Raman politely

'Uhhh...'' She said looking back in the house as she held the door then back at Raman

'How can I help you'' She added

'I... I can to check on Ishita... See how she is...'' Said Raman surprised at Mihika's behavior

'She is fine...'' She said again looking inside and then back at them

'Mihika who is that...'' Asked Mr. Iyer

'Uhh...'' Said Mihika taking a minute before she said

'The Bhallas...''

'What... Why...'' Said Mrs. Iyer as she stood up and went to the door

'Is everything okay...'' She said

'No... Why would you think something is wrong? I just came to check on Ishita and my kids...'' Said Raman

'Am sorry hasn't Kushan talked to you...'' Said Mrs. Iyer

'No he hasn't... What the hell is going on?'' Said Raman concerned

'Papa...Papa...'' A tiny voice came through causing Mihika to open the door

'Papa...'' Said an excited Aditya as he ran to his father embracing him

'How are you? Oh God I missed you so much...'' Said Aditya

'I missed you too... How are you...'' Said Raman hugging his son

'Good... I was beginning to think you will not come...'' Said Aditya

'Come...'' Said Raman confused

'Yeah... for us... Mom says we are to spend this summer with you... Before we go back home...'' Said Aditya looking at Raman

'Go back...'' Said Raman confused

'Yeah... Home back in London...Don't tell me you forgot...'' Said Aditya

'Of course not... ' Said Raman trying to pretend he understood

'Wait... I am going to go tell Ruhi...'' Said Aditya as he ran upstairs

'Can we at least come in...'' Said Mihir looking at Mihika

'Sure...'' She said opening the door wide

Once the walked in they could see everyone was there, Shlok, Romi, Bala, Abhimanyu, Suraj, Simmi, Sarika, Vidya and Ishita as well. It was like they were having some kind of family get together but over something big given how everyone was all dressed up.

He saw Ishita look at them as they walked in a bit surprised as she stood up putting her bottle of water down.

'Raman...'' She said but he just looked at her

'What are you doing here?'' She asked

'What am I... What do you mean what am I doing here? What is going on'' He asked

'The better question is what are you doing here? We gave you a fair deal as far as the custody was concerned so why...'' Mr. Iyer who was just walking in began but Ishita interrupted

'Papa... It is fine...'' She said causing him to keep quiet

'Ishu... What is going on'' Said Raman

'Nothing... I just played my part and it was time for me to leave. Your father said that I was to leave after everything was done and so I did...'' Said Ishita

'What nonsense...'' Said Raman perplexed

'Ishita... Listen...'' Mr. Bhalla began but Mr. Iyer wouldn't allow him talk

'No more favors... She is done... She kept her part of the bargain, I suggest you keep yours'' Said Mr. Iyer

'Ishita... Please... I am begging you. Don't punish me for what I did... Please...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Ishita beta... I am asking you to please think about this...'' Said Santosh

'What is going on'' Said Raman as Mihir looked at Ishita who was not saying a word but just looked at them

'Oh my God... Ishita really...'' Said Mihir

'What...'' Said Raman

'She filed for divorce... She wants a divorce Raman...That is the only explanation they are all acting like this'' Said Mihir disheartened

Raman walked to where Ishita was standing right in front of her as he asked

'Is this true... ' But Ishita just took a step back standing next to Abhimanyu as she looked at him her eyes getting teary

'Ishita... I am talking to you answer me...'' Said Raman his voice breaking but she didn't say a word

'Raman... If you want to talk to my client you have to go through me'' Said Romi standing in front of Ishita because he knew she needed his help

'I am talking to my wife... Ishita ...'' Said Raman teary eyed

'Raman I seriously...'' Romi began but Raman was losing his patience

'Romi, I swear to God if you do not get out of my face right now...'' He said only to be interrupted by his kids

'Papa...'' Said Ruhi a bit scared

'Is everything okay...'' She added

Raman fighting the urge to break down in front of his kids arched his head back taking back the tears as he said

'Of course honey... Everything is crystal...'' as he turned around walking to her as he put his arms around her

'Are you sure?'' She asked

'Yeah... I am just so glad to see you...'' He said

'I missed you...'' Said Ruhi a bit more calm

'So are we leaving today...'' She asked

'Uhhh...'' Said Raman in all honesty not even knowing what to say

'Ru... You have to go with Simmi Aunty today remember...'' Said Mihika

'Oh yeah...'' She said slapping her forehead as she said

'I forgot we have to go see Mishri...''

'You mean play video games with your uncles...'' Said Simmi trying to make light of the moment causing the kids to giggle

'Even though they always lose...'' Said Ruhi

'Because some people always cheat...'' Said Abhimanyu causing Ruhi to laugh

'Just a little...'' Said Raman clearing his throat

'I bet...'' Said Raman smiling as he added

'Hey listen, I want to talk to your mom and grandparents a little. So go play and we shall talk later alright'' Said Raman

'Oh sure...'' Said Aditya turning as he went back upstairs with his sister

Raman Stood up and turned around looking at Ishita who was still standing almost behind Shlok still not saying a word or even looking at him

'Ishita... I know that you have every reason to be upset and angry at us believe me but this thing we had going on...'' Mr. Bhalla began but Mrs. Iyer interrupted

'Thing... This thing... Are you kidding...? His kidding right ...'' She said

'What is the problem... It seemed like we had gone past all this... It is like we always go around circles and land back where we started...'' Said Santosh causing Mrs. Iyer to scoff

'Gone past it... Are you serious...? Gone past it'' She said shaking her head

'What... Can someone just say what the hell is going on? We all have been through a lot the last couple of days to begin going around in circles'' Said Mihir

'I will tell you... My very precious sister here had a scare...'' Said Mihika

'Scare how...'' Said Mihir

'Mihika...'' Mr. Iyer called her but she unlike Ishita wasn't allowing this while keeping secrets thing to begin all over again, she was over it

'No papa... This is stupid, these two have two kids together and if he intends on raising them with her, we need to bring a few things out in the open, no holing back such that we all can find a common ground to have a relationship for those two very deserving children.'' Said Mihika turning to Raman as she said

'When we got back from CIB, Ishita had just made it home for a couple of hours when all of a sudden she began having these pains. She kept on saying it was nothing but knowing what happened in the past my mom didn't want to take any chances and wanted to talk her to hospital but Ishita was adamant and said no...''

'Why... Is everything okay'' Asked Raman

'Calm down let me finish. Turns out she found out 3 months that she was having problems. Health wise at least ...'' Said Mihika as she turned and looked at Ishita

'Mind completing this story yourself...'' She added but Ishita just looked at her teary eyed

'Ishu... Look, no one disregards the guy more than me but he deserves better than this.'' Said Mihika

'Mihika are you...'' Said Mr. Iyer

'Papa just let her tell him... He deserves to know at least then he will know why everyone is so pissed and then you can tell him why you want this divorce'' Said Mihika and Mr. Iyer backed off

Raman looked at her holding his breath because he knew something horrible was about to come out

'So...'' He said his voice breaking again

'3 Months ago I found out that something was wrong with my bone marrow...'' said Ishita

'Bone marrow... I don't understand...'' Said Raman tear eyed

'Chemo didn't work during my cancer and I needed to have a bone marrow transplant which I got that is how my life got saved. But there was a complication I found and the doctor, Vidya put me on these steroids and stuff and changed my diet. She wanted to make sure nothing bad happened or any reoccurrence of the tumors again.'' Sad Ishita looking at Raman as tears streamed down his face and she felt guilty

'I am okay now. No one to over react...' She added

'WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN OVER REACT...'' Yelled Raman startling Ishita

'I am okay...'' She said

'Is that why you wanted the pills?'' He asked but Ishita kept quiet

'TALK TO ME DAMMIT...'' He yelled again

'Yeah... They help sometimes but I am okay now...'' She insisted

'Ishita... I swear... You... I just... God I am so mad at you right now.'' He said angrily

'Raman calm down...It was for dad'' Said Simmi

'I do not care...'' He yelled again his voice breaking

The Iyers always had an image of Raman especially when he threw Ishita out of his life 7 years ago. This Raman, the one they were looking at right now was not one the expected to see. He seemed genuinely pissed that she had risked her life for them, something they never expected because they always thought he was selfish. But a lot had happened between them for them to just take him at face value, they never trusted him one bit

'No... This was... Could it have been worse ...'' He asked

'No...'' She lied

'DO NO LIE TO ME...'' He yelled again but Ishita just kept quiet

'Raman calm down... The kids are upstairs...'' Said Simmi trying to calm him down

'You did this knowing you were sick...'' Said Santosh surprised causing Mrs. Iyer to step up

'You see my daughter and your son's relationship has never been healthy. She has always done things to prove to you and your husband that she was worthy... is worthy of your son ever since she married him. She gave up a lot to ensure that but it was never enough. And she can try and justify this saying we are wrong and she was just doing this for whatever reason her brain seems to come up with but we all know, all this, everything has always had on agenda. Prove to them that I was the right woman for him.'' Said Mrs. Iyer teary

'Something worse could have happened to her in that jail cell. She could have... My daughter could have... ' Said Mr. Iyer putting his hands together as he said

'I am begging you, leave her alone... Let her be... She has paid her debt to you and then some so please this time, just let her be... Please...''

'You can't control what she does... She is a grown woman'' Said Santosh

'Doesn't make her any less of my daughter... She will do as I say...'' Said Mr. Iyer angrily

All this was being said while all the while Raman was just looking at Ishita felling betrayed and shamed. How could she put him in such a position? It wasn't fair... It seemed like they were going through circles over and over again and it was like 7 years ago except this time he was at the receiving end.
