CHAPTER FIFTY
'I still can't believe that you are a mother... Although I am happy for you'' He said pushing the matter wanting to see what she would tell him
'Thank you... I think...'' She said looking at him curiously

'I can but... This is weird that you are not barraging me with questions right now'' She said
'True... And curiosity is really killing me right now but I will respect your space. You do not ask questions about me and Shagun and so I will do that to you...'' He said smiling

Ishita watched him walk to the kitchen as he began putting the Toast Butter on a plate as the children grabbed the chocolate popsicles and put them on another plate and become teary. She imagined this numerous times never thinking it would ever happen. This could have been them; this could have been their life if it wasn't for all the nonsense that they had allowed to come between them.
A lot had happened and there was no way they could come back from it and she knew it. She also understood that if he ever came to know about why she said yes to him that day, said yes to marrying him, he would hate her more than he did seven years go. She slowly wiped the tears with her index finger that were filling up in her eyes and looked away as she saw them approach
'Mama... Best breakfast ever...'' Said Ruhi excited
'Is it now... I probably shouldn't allow you to eat all these sweets this early in the day'' Said Ishita
'Mama... Come on... Today we get to be allowed anything, you know that...'' Said Aditya

Raman sat back and felt guilty given what he had missed on for so long. He wondered what she might have gone through with her illness and also taking care of her children. She had family, yes, but it must have been hard and instead of him being there for her like a husband should be, he was busy feeding his ego.
Everything he ever wanted was right there and yet he couldn't do anything about it or even let them know how much he loved and cared for them. This was a torture in itself and if Ishita was doing all this just to hurt him, then it was working. One thing didn't make sense, now that he was seeing her, in the place, in her comfort zone, suddenly everything that he had been told didn't seem to make sense. She wasn't the treacherous person that everyone thought of her to be. He made a mistake the first time allowing people's opinion dictate for him how his life and relationships should ran, and he wasn't allowing that again.

Back at the Bhalla Mansion, Shagun was at her antics again and Mr. Bhalla as always the gullible one was right there in the middle listening to whatever she was talking about.
'I know for a fact that Abhimanyu is around and he is working with her. ' Said Shagun

'Okay... Explain to me how Abhi's being here somehow translates to Raman being in danger'' Said Mihir

'You are the one who had the evidence; evidence to this day Ishita refutes and says was made up. So if it is revenge she searches for, I believe she is going after you and you being afraid are hiding under the guise of Raman...'' Said Mihir
'What nonsense... That is so not true'''' Said Shagun
'I believe Mihir. Besides, if you have nothing to hide, then you have no reason to worry. If you love Raman as much as you claim, you will allow her to help him heal whatever is happening to him. Abhimanyu's being here may not be a bad thing anyway. If he sees that she has someone knew, maybe he will understand that she is not his anymore'' Said Santosh

'She is playing you all... I wish you could just see that'' Said Shagun but at that point everyone was ignoring her putting her worry off as jealousy

'Are you serious? You trust that woman to handle your brother's business and our companies as well...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'For starters, she is here with him helping, two she just wrapped up two deals with RKB Fashions in a months. Something that company hasn't done in 4 years... She got rid of all the dead wood that was just consuming company money and is still doing so might I add saving the company loads of money... ' Said Mihir
'At the expense of my other companies... That is how...'' Said Mr. Bhalla
'Papa, please... The companies she closed were close to being done. Besides I think she has a valid point. Concentrate in what you have and build again, you have the capacity to do so...'' Said Mihir and Mr. Bhalla knew it was the right thing but his ego wouldn't allow him to accept it
'Look I do not want anything to do with the whole Bhalla Business fiasco but as someone standing from the sidelines, it looks to me like she is not breaking it but reviving it' said Mihir
'Vishu, so far she hasn't done anything that has harmed the company... Give her the benefit of a doubt... You owe her that'' Said Santosh
'I do not owe that girl anything... She destroyed my family... My children are all away from me, they have been since she left. She took two of them away from me and the one I had remaining was also always away ... I owe her nothing'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Oh Mama, Please... He is really good at throwing his flaws at everyone else but him. When I came to him and tried to tell him why I did what I did. He wasn't willing to listen and just threw me out disowning me. And if I am to remember for Simmi; he told her she had betrayed him by going against his wishes. What about what she wanted? Did that ever occur to you? Your question should have been, My daughter who worshiped the ground I worked on was so terrified of me to tell me when she fell in love that she chose to lie to my face and marry without my knowledge...WHY... Your question should have been WHY... But she and I; were not Raman were we...So it didn't matter'' Said Mihir irritated that he just grabbed his jacket and walked out
Mr. Bhalla stood there and for the first time didn't say a thing. He listened to his son talk and like always it broke his heart but he didn't say a thing. He didn't have it in him to say anything given whatever Mihir had said was right. He loved his children but he always favored Raman to all of them. Maybe because he was his eldest son and first child, or maybe he was the most put together in all his children that he thought he as the one most likely to carry his name forward. He always figured his other children would be okay and content with that he had done for them nut he forget that all they wanted was a father and he had failed miserably in being that.
They were right to be resentful and as much as he wanted to apologize and try and do right by them, he couldn't out of shame. He knew he didn't deserve their forgiveness and all he could do was try and make sure that the revenge plot that Ishita had come to carry out, they didn't get hurt in the cross fire...
'Shagun can you please leave us...'' Said Santosh and Shagun obliged walking to her room
'Vishu... You need to tell... Vishu ...'' Said Santosh but her husband just walked away straight to their room not saying anything and Santosh followed her
'Oh now you are beginning to ignore me as well. Well unlike them, I am not going anywhere so deal with it...'' said Santosh
'No... It is not that... I just do want to risk anyone knowing'' Said Vishu
'They are you children who deserve to know the truth...'' Said Santosh
'I will tell them, just not now... Not yet... It can't come out just yet. My company is in the middle of a lot of transition so I can't tell the world yet'' Said Mr. Bhalla
'They are not the world but your children...The longer you post pone this the harder it will get and the more trouble you will get into'' Said Santosh irritated with his stubbornness
'That is not what I meant and you know it'' Said Mr. Bhalla
'Why are you so scared of telling them? What do you think will happen? You think they won't care? They won't show up if you tell them, what...'' Said Santosh looking at him and when he didn't answer with the expression on his face she knew
'Oh My God you're worried they won't show up... You are worried they won't care...'' She said but he just kept quiet and tried to walk away again but she instead stopped in front of him
'Vishu...'' She said as she took his hand in hers
'Those kids maybe angry with you and rightly so but they love you. That is why when things get bad, they always come back... You have to trust that... Those children love you and would want to know if something is wrong with you...'' She added and he tears filling his eyes wanted to hide so he said
'I will tell them just not now...'' And walked away not wanting his wife to see his weakness but it was too late
'Oh Vishu... What do I do with you'' She said as tears filled her eyes as well
Shagun wanted to hear what they were talking about but nothing could be heard from their room. She knew something was a bit off with Mr. Bhalla and she also knew why, she only hoped her plan worked enough such that they got rid of Ishita once and for all. It was so strange that she never thought she would come to this but desperate times called of desperate measures and casualties were always a possibility in war. Maybe all this would have been a possibility and might have worked except for one little problem, Shagun hadn't spent as much time with her husband as she had with her fianc and she and no idea what he was capable of.

Shlok and Sarika were at Romi's place as Sarika had managed to gather some more data from Shagun concerning her accounts that related to Mr. Jhakad and his projects. They all knew that in order to sniff Abhya out, they had to cut off supply for all his money. Shagun had been working with Mr. Jhakad since she walked into the doors of Bhalla companies and it was crazy how Mr. Bhalla couldn't see through that
'I don't know if this is enough but here we are...'' Said Sarika
'This is amazing... Thank you...'' Said Shlok as he took the files and flash drive from her
'No need to thank me... Ishita is a friend... Plus she pays really well...'' Said Sarika laughingly

'She and I went to the same university, that is how we met. She was friends with a friend of mine and through him, I got to know her...'' Said Sarika

I knew Abhimanyu, he and I were friends and I could see when he could talk about her and his demeanor when he was around her and she was the same if not more and I knew it was just a matter of time before they started dating... 'Yeah she was... She really cared about him... Oh God there was this time where some guy was leaking exams and they all thought it was Abhimanyu. The lecturer, who was teaching them some course unit, linear algebra or something like that, claimed it was Abhimanyu leaking them and tried to get him expelled... Ishu... Bless her heart, she told the university that she could prove it wasn't Abhimanyu and could also tell them who was leaking the exams...'' Said Sarika
'That sounds like her alright...'' Said Shlok chuckling
'She sat down on the computer as well as Abhi and together they hacked the school system and somehow managed to find the loophole in the system, the third year student who was leaking the exams and also the fact that the loophole was coming from the lecture himself who went into the computer room with his phone forgetting to switch it his Bluetooth. I mean seriously, who knew Bluetooth was a hacker's best friend... By the time she was done, almost everyone in that department knew who she was and Abhi...I mean they were in their first year...'' Said Sarika impressed
'Wow... That is impressive...'' Said Shlok
'Tell me about it...'' Said Sarika
'I grew up with her telling me there would be no better programmer than her in this world. She worked at it every day...'' Said Romi
'What changed... Why did they break up...? ' Said Shlok
'Honestly I have absolutely no idea. They had a plan, they were to go to California and work their asses off for this company that gave them a job each and freedom to do what they wanted. Abhimanyu told me he would have gone to work for the Indian government but he loved her way too much to leave her to he was willing to settle back in USA and spend the rest of his days loving her. But then ... I think around that time is when you and your family went through all that and so she cancelled on him'' Said Sarika

' She had to come back to India after school because she knew her family needed her. You two (Romi and Shagun) needed them so when her parents asked that they come back to India, she agreed'' Said Sarika
'So it was because of me'' Said Romi
'No... Silly... It was her love for her family that enticed her to do that. She loved you and Shagun like she loved Mihika... That is why she agreed to come back'' Said Sarika

'Well, Abhi understood and they had a long distance thing going on for a while... But after about 2 years, everything just sort of stopped... One minute Abhimanyu was planning on coming back to India to propose the next am hearing she is breaking up with him...'' Said Sarika

'Shagun stole from papa, two years after you all got back... Our family fell apart... As you know papa had to sell off his restaurants to keep the one we had in Delhi a float because Shagun had stolen papers of the 3rd restaurant and sold it. Dad had no other option and he didn't want to report her to the police so Shagun got away with it... Stealing his savings and selling his restaurant ...'' Said Romi
'Yeah... Yeah I know how that went. My question, how does she come from being so in love with Abhimanyu to marrying Raman with in the space of two year ... ' Said Shlok
'I don't know... Abhimanyu was so broken he joined the army, and thus allowed to work for the government. He thought it would help him cope, sort of... I didn't hear from her again or Abhi until 4 years ago, Ishita calls me saying she had a job for me...'' Said Sarika
'What sort of job...'' Said Shlok
'Nothing really... All I had to do was give her the down low of who was who in the Bhalla industries and the RKB Fashions and who had the power, nothing illegal, just old fashioned spy work against competitors. She paid me really... really well too... ' Said Sarika chuckling
'So all this while you have been working for Ishita? I am beginning to worry what my sister is capable of... Seriously'' Said Romi
'So everything is as her plan... everything is just a job for you'' said Shlok
'Well not everything... She set me up with the guy, really smart and kind and he is also very charming and handsome. She only had one rule for me there...'' Said Sarika

'Oh that if I hurt him, she would and I quote, 'She will bury me in the deepest corners of this planet that even my nightmares will seem like heaven...'' said Sarika smiling at Abhimanyu before she added
'Yeah your sister is scary and a bit psychopathic if your ask me'' She added
'Wait... She said that to you face...'' Said Romi
'Yeah... The day she realized I was falling for her best friend ...'' Said Sarika looking at Shlok
'Is that so...'' Said Shlok as he smiled
'Yeah... definitely...'' Said Sarika smiling as well before she looked away realizing she was beginning to blush profusely

'I agree... Those sleepovers are the best...'' Said Raman in a naughty way as he winked at Ishita and she with an o-shaped expression on her face said

'It is so true... The sleepovers are the best...'' Said Aditya innocently
'See... Even Aditya agrees...'' Said Raman before he threw his head back laughing
'This conversation is so taking a direction that is not apt...'' Said Ishita as she let out a soft laugh
'Hey you should come over to one of the sleepovers...'' Said Ruhi
'Yeah... After we have fun, you can have yours in mom's room while mine and Ruhi's friends sleep in our room...'' Said Aditya causing Raman to turn to Ishita and smile as he said

'We shall tell stories, watch movies, or even built a fort in the living room like we do with Shlok papa...'' Said Ruhi
'No... that is not a good idea...'' Said Ishita

'Besides I am sure Raman has things to do...'' Said Ishita
'Nope... Just give me a when and where and I will make time...'' Said Raman causing Ishita to slump down and look at him as if pleading for him to help her out but he just smiled and refused to barge

Her phone buzzed and she looked down at it only to see it was an international call and she had been waiting for it the whole day
'I need to take this... Excuse me...'' She said as she excused herself and walked off to the next room just to get some privacy
Raman had had a day he couldn't even have dreamed of. He was in Ishita's house, spending time with her and their children and unlike most times when he was with her, today she was a bit free, something that didn't go unnoticed by him. They talked and played, watched cartoons, had breakfast, lunch together and had just had dinner together.
When he got up this morning to come to her place he didn't think even for a second that he would spend more than an hour there but he had been there for an entire day. He turned and looked at Aditya who had unconsciously taken his little hand and put it in Raman's as he talked to Ruhi causing him to smile.
'It will be fun... You will see...'' Said Ruhi
'I can only imagine...'' Said Raman
'Oh God even Mishri comes as well...'' Said Aditya
'Yeah... Mishri is our cousin... She is small and usually takes all the attention when the adults are around...'' Said Ruhi causing Aditya to laugh at his sister as he said

'Sure...'' Said Raman as he leaned down so to give them access
'It is soft... and mushy...'' Said Aditya
Eeewww...'' Said Ruhi sounding exactly like her mom and Raman laughed
'What happened...'' Aditya asked
'I was in a very bad accident... I got hurt really bad and these scars are just wounds that healed over time'' Said Raman
'Are you still sick...'' Said Aditya looking at Raman
'I am getting better... Thank you for asking ...'' Said Raman
Ruhi got up and extended to where he was causing Raman to sit up and allow her sit on his lap while Aditya sat on the other. They both sort of just out their small heads on his shoulder each taking one and put their hands around him hugging them
This was a tad strange but he didn't want to barge or even spoil the moment so he just put his hands around them and hugged them back
'Are you guys okay...'' He asked chuckling
'You need to get better dad...'' Whispered Aditya
'Please dad you have to...'' Said Ruhi
To say he was shocked wouldn't have justified the hurricane of emotions he was going through and the torrent of questions he had running through his mind. So did this mean they knew about him, why did they ask him to get better? Did they know about his accident but even then that didn't justify a lot of things. What was happening...? Did his children just call him dad? He slowly pulled out of the hug and looked at them and he could see tears welling up in both their eyes...

'What did you just say...'' He asked but before they could anything, Ishita came walking back in as she said
'Sorry about that... Had some small work to handle...''
Ruhi and Aditya got off Raman's lap and Aditya quickly said as he ran upstairs
'I am going to brush my teeth... Its bedtime ''
'Me too...'' Said Ruhi as ran too
'Okay... Make sure you actually brush and don't just lick the toothpaste...'' Said Ishita
'Wow... I should have you more over... That never happens...'' She added as he walked to where Raman was but she could see his demeanor was a bit different
'Are you okay...'' She asked
'What... Yeah ... I am fine thank you...'' He said coming out of his stance
'You're sure... You look flustered...'' She said
'No... I am good... More than good... Thank you... I needed this...Thank you for letting me stay and spend some time with them... Your family ...'' He said
'It is not like I had the choice in the matter really...'' Said Ishita
'Ha-ha... I am sure you did but you chose to let me stay so, thank you...'' He said humbly

Raman knew that now, this Ishita, this is the one he married. She for some reason was choosing to open up and he knew this was the time to take advantage of this moment because if they left that environment where she was feeling safe, he was never going to learn anything about her and what the hell is happening
'What happened to their father...'' Said Raman wanting to know what she genuinely thought about him
'He lost his way a little and gave up on them...'' She said without hesitation

'If it is any consolation, you are doing an amazing job, those children are unbelievable... I hope they are nothing like him... Any man who leaves something like that is an idiot regardless of circumstances...'' Said Raman looking at her and Ishita got a bit teary as she said

Ruhi and Aditya came down stairs after having changed into their Pjs and said

'Company matters and also Sarika matters... I am yet to find out what took priority over the other today'' Said Ishita causing Raman to laugh
'They really like Shlok...'' He said
'Oh they adore him... He is like the father they never had plus he spoils them too much...'' Said Ishita

'That he is not their father...'' Said Raman causing Ishita to flinch before she said in one breath

Raman sat back and looked at her talking and he felt bad about everything. He wanted to scream on the top of his voice and tell her that he remembered it all and that it didn't matter what everyone else thinks or says. He loved her, always has and never stopped. He wanted to tell her the actual story of how he ended up being engaged to Shagun and how that was also a misunderstanding and a game Shagun played that he fell for, again.
He wanted to tell her that she was the only woman he ever truly loved and that nothing ever happened with Shagun because he was only hers, from the beginning till he took his last breath. He wanted to assure her that their children would be safe with him and that he was going to prove to her that he was here for the long haul and was never going to screw anything up again, but he couldn't. Even this little moment they were having, he knew it was not enough for her to just up and change everything she had planned and he had to win her back first, one way or the other... But there was just one problem; things were easier said than done
Ishita finished taking her call and turned to look at him and she could see he was staring at her like he was seeing her for the first time. He watched a smile creep up her face as she asked
'What... Why are you staring at me like that'' And he instead of keeping quiet said
'I really... really... want to kiss you right now''
'What...'' Said Ishita a bit taken back
'No really I do... But I know I can't so... I will just stare...'' He said still looking at her
'Raman... This ...'' She said but he interrupted
'Did you ever love me Ishita'' He asked
'Why are you asking me this now? It shouldn't matter you are engaged to another woman,'' Said Ishita defensively
'It does matter to me and I want to know... I want to know...'' Said Raman
'Why are you asking me this suddenly'' Said Ishita
'Because if you did, you should have come back... You know me; I get all stupid and do crazy things without thinking... No matter what, you should have come back... Why didn't you come back'' He said tears filling his eyes
'Why didn't you come after me? I waited and waited but you didn't... When I took the first step and came back, you were getting engaged... You had moved on so I just did the same'' Said Ishita tears filling her eyes
'I was inconsolable when you left... I didn't know where to find you. I looked everywhere and I had to bribe your neighbors then you told me you had left and gone abroad but wouldn't tell me why...'' Said Raman his voice breaking and Ishita in that moment knew this conversation was not healthy or good for any of them
'I can't talk about this with you Raman... These are waters I honestly do not want to trade with you... Not like this... And most definitely not here'' She said tears swelling in her eyes
'Okay... I am sorry... I apologize...'' He said
'And why are you telling me all this, I thought you didn't remember...'' She said
And in that moment Raman knew he had screwed up and had to find a very believable reason for her to believe he was actually still suffering from amnesia.
'I don't... I just knew that one minute you were with me and the next we were losing our child and you are walking out. You never came back...'' Said Raman holding his breath hoping it made sense and was believable
'Wait... You think the reason for the separation was because we lost Aryan?'' Said Ishita perplexed
''Yeah... Is there another reason that I should know...'' Said Raman looking at Ishita as if he was confused
'Wow... 7 Months you still do not remember a thing...'' Said Ishita
'Well then tell me... I want to know... Was it my fault...'' He asked genuinely wanting to know what she thought but she never answered
'Ishita Didi...'' Said Jai who came in from outside
'Yeah...'' Said Ishita as she left Raman there and walked to Jai
'Shagun is outside...'' He said
'Why...'' Ishita asked
'She says she has come to see her fiancee and she knows that he is here because he just called her...'' Said Jai causing Ishita to turn and look at Raman
'Care to explain...'' She said
'I don't even have my phone... How did I call her then...'' said Raman irritated and Ishita shaking her head said
'Just let her in...''
'Ishita I swear... I didn't call...'' Ramah tried to explain but Ishita wasn't having it
'Whatever Raman it is fine... Just make sure you do not forget your jacket... It is dry by now am sure'' Said Ishita as she let out a sigh and sat down
'I knew you were here...'' Said Shagun as she walked in going straight to where Raman was

'No I didn't... I left my phone home... Intentionally might I add such that I get time away from you'' Said Raman
Ishita probably should have intervened but all this was too good to pass along and watching Shagun being scolded and humiliated was unbelievably gratifying. It was not right to be that way and be that spiteful but it didn't mean she didn't feel good about it.
'Raman... Why are you...? Listen let us just go home and talk...'' She said but Raman wasn't barging
'What are you doing here?'' He Said
'I came to pick you... Mihir told Papa that you were at his place and had passed by here... I figured since I was around the neighborhood I should just pick you up and we go home together'' said Shagun
'Then why did you lie that I called...'' Said Raman
'Because I knew if I didn't she wouldn't allow me in...'' Said Shagun pretending to cry
'Damn straight I wouldn't...I feel like I need to move and go live somewhere where you all do not know such that you stop popping by when you want like we are friends of family...'' said Ishita as she sat back and crossed her legs looking at them
'Whatever Ishu... You are just so...'' Shagun began but Raman intervened
'This is someone's home so be respectful'' He said much to Shagun's surprise
'And what are you doing in this part of town...'' He added
'What...'' She said as if she didn't hear

'I came to see a friend... You know... She and I had a lot of catching up to do...'' Said Shagun stammering

'He... I mean, she... You may not know...'' She stuttered again

'Sarika... You know... My colleague... I work with her...'' She lied again that Ishita threw her head back laughing at how horrible she was at lying on the spot
'Seriously...'' said Ishita still laughing
'Shagun... Sarika lives on the other part of town...'' said Raman and Shagun began to panic
Raman walked to where she was and stood right in front of her and said
'Are you lying to be Shagun? I hate people who lie to me? Are you deceiving me right now'' He asked again
'N...No... I am not... I just wanted to come pick you and your father wanted to see you...'' Said Shagun
Raman was irritated than amused like Ishita. This woman was like a demon with the worst timing in the world and he knew the Ishita who was ready to talk and open at that point was gone all because Shagun showed up. He hated her so much and more than that he hated the fact that he encouraged her to be like that. Made her feel like she had more importance in his life than she really had but he was going to slowly give her a reality she didn't see coming.
'Tell Dad I will call him... You can leave...'' He said irritated
'What... How are you getting home...? You left your car home and gave your driver a day off. So how are you getting home...'' She asked
'Who said anything about going home?'' Said Raman leaving room for imagination and Shagun looked at Raman seeing for the first time that if he was getting flashes of memories, they were most definitely favoring Ishita something she didn't like one bit
Ishita frowned a little that he was insinuating he was spending the night with her without even any hesitation. Something had changed with him but Ishita just couldn't quite put her finger on it. He was always respectful of Shagun and that had always been the case since he left hospital. Even when he wanted to spend time with Ishita he was always mindful of Shagun and respected the fact that she was his fiancee but something had changed in the last couple of months, the question was what...
'You're spending the night with her...'' Shagun said
'Not with her... Don't be silly... Just in her house... She and I have exercises we are doing to help with my memory...'' Said Raman calmly one would think he was telling the truth
'What kind of exercises...'' Shagun asked
'You know... Where she reminds me of the little things... Me and her doing stuff...'' said Raman keeping quiet and looking at her leaving her imagination to run wild then he said hitting the nail in the coffin
'I don't think it will be good for you to know...''
'Why...'' Said Shagun
'Because in this circumstance what you don't know won't hurt you as much as when you find out... This is a good thing that you have no idea...'' Said Raman unzipping his jumper showing her what was underneath
'Why are you wearing a vest... Where are your clothes...'' Said Shagun realizing he was dressed completely differently than when he left home. At that point Ishita could pretty much see what Raman was doing she just put her index finger on her lips and smiled

'Oh... Uhhh... The exercise sort of went in another direction and so did my clothes but I imagine they are somewhere around...'' He said looking around before he added
'But not to worry, I will come back all dressed... I promise...'' He said looking at her without even flinching as if not being mindful of her feelings
'Wha... What the hell is going on? Ishita what is this...'' said Shagun teary
'Don't ask me... He is the one telling the story...'' said Ishita as she got up and walked to the kitchen leaving them alone
'Shagun... You need to go home... I will call you... And I will talk to dad also... I just I really need to finish these exercises such that I can remember and get on with my life. Don't you want that'' He said moving forward as he held her face wiping the streaming lone tear
'I worry... I am losing you...'' She said as she hugged him that he smiled satisfied that she was hurting and said
'Just go home... When I am done, I will ask Ishita to get me home... Jai will drive me...'' Said Raman convincing her
'Your sure nothing happened here...'' She said and he just shook looked at her not answering
Shagun hesitated a little before reluctantly agreeing to leave and go away. Raman wanted her gone and knew he had a little bit of damage control to do before he finally left as well. There was no way Ishita was letting him stay here, he knew it but he also knew it was entirely up to him how he was going to let this night end. And he would be dammed than left it end on a note where Shagun was around. He walked back into the kitchen where she was saying
'She left...''
'Good... Now you have to leave as well... I have a long day tomorrow I need to rest...'' She said
'I am sorry...'' He said
'What for...'' She asked
'That... I know it is hard for you to see that... Even if you try and hide it ... I can see through you...'' He said and she looked at him not saying a word and he could see she was a bit angry
He got up and walked to the bathroom changing his clothes before he came back with the ones he was in properly folded as he said

'Your welcome...'' She said smiling warmly and he could see she had managed to calm down
'Can I be honest... Just ... Please...'' He said
'Sure... What...'' said Ishita
He walked to where she was standing without holding back taking her hand in his as he said
'Regardless of what the circumstances are now, no matter how many fiancees I will have in my lifetime, nothing may ever compare to what I had with you. There is never going to be another you, even the stars knew that you were meant to be mine, that is why eve after seven years, you are here with me, still loving me...'' He said looking at her and he could see she was getting emotional. She tried to get her hand away from his but he wouldn't allow it
'You can pretend you don't love me all you want but this...'' He added putting his hand on her heart
'Still skips a beat every time you see me... That is why every time you see her around me, you flinch, you smile and laugh through it to take that pain away because it hurts too much and that is all you can do, laugh at yourself. I don't know if it will make a difference now or not but...'' He said coming close as he held her face, wiping the tears that were streaming down her face with his thumb as he said
'As much as I know I should leave you alone, I can't... I love you too much to walk away. So I am going to risk everything I have and everything I own to win you back, fiancee or not. I did it once and will do it again. You can break my heart as much as you want; I give you the right to... I won't love you less if you do...''
He leaned cupping her face with his left hand as he looked deep into her eyes slowly moving forward as his right hand glided through up to her nape. He made sure he was close enough such that she could feel the warmth of his breath caressing her scrumptious lips. He could feel her heart pounding as he lips began to quiver and he knew she wanted to kiss him as much as he did.
But as much as his body was telling him to, he knew he wasn't supposed to do it. All he needed was to build anticipation in her, remind her of what she might have had, reminding her of what they had and what they could have and he did; now as hard as it was, he had to walk away. He leaned in cursing his luck as he placed a soft kiss on her cheek before he slowly stepped back, grabbed his jacket and her car keys and walked out.
Ishita stayed standing in the same place her eyes closed not believing he still had the power to make her weak in her knees without even trying. That was unbelievably exhilarating and yet nothing had happened. She didn't even realize how lonely she was and how much she had suppressed her desires until that moment and yet nothing even happened.
She opened her eyes and watched him walk out and she let out a soft laugh knowing he had done this intentionally just to get a rise out of her and to know that he still affected her the way he did. She cursed under her breath realizing she had given away more than she wanted.
'Crap...'' She said as she walked to her bathroom for a much needed cold shower

'He didn't find me anywhere, he was here...'' Said Ishita as she got the charger and grabbed her bag
'Wait is he the visitor that the kids were telling me about'' Said Shlok
'Yes... Can we go...'' Said Ishita but at that point Shlok could see she just wanted to avoid the conversation
'Oh no...no...no... you are not avoiding this... Raman spent an entire day with his kids. Did he even have a hunch that those kids are his...'' Said Shlok
'No... I don't think so... He thinks they are for someone else... Please can we go'' She said

It was an important day that they all had to be in the right frame of mind of handle. Today they took one of the people who were bleeding the company through the money they were embezzling. They needed proof to how Mr. Bhalla what his so called second in command was actually doing.
It took about 1 hour to get RKB Fashions which is where the meeting was supposed to be held. Mr. Bhalla was already there and so was Mr. Parmeet and Mr. Rajeev were also their and so was the man of the day Mr. Jhakad.
'Good of you to take your time, you think other people do not have what to do...'' Said Mr. Jhakad

'Why did you call a meeting if you were not prepared'' Said Mr. Parmeet
'Who said anything about not being prepared...'' Said Ishita as she sat down and her assistant began setting her computer to the projector
'Okay without wasting time, we are here to review what has been happing for his quarter...'' Said Ishita
'We know that, just give us the findings already'' Said Mr. Rajeev
'Alright, we have managed to have our deal renewed with Duke Designs and we shall be supplying to them material for the next 5 years, renewable for an extra year, that could get us 200 Million per year which is around 25% increase in profits there. We have a deal with KP Stores and they will be selling out designs country wide for the next 3 years. That means we have hired another designer who will help with the work load that has increased'' Said Ishita
'Why... What about Shagun Arora... Isn't she the head designer'' Said Mr. Jhakad
'No... We needed someone new and fresh... Plus Shagun was a fraud who was just stealing from her juniors... I can't have that on my projects... This company has invested way too much in this to have any mistakes...'' Said Ishita

'Shlok will take you through in detail about what the deals entail and their progress...'' Said Ishita and Shlok took over
Mr. Bhalla sat through that listening to them all and he had to admit, they knew exactly what they were talking about. They had managed to do in 6 months what he had failed to do in 4 years. It was crazy and he had a sneaky feeling they knew something he didn't. As soon as they began getting rid of all those people in his company that were not working and were embezzling, company money was realized.
They had sent a lot of people in jailed and they in turn kept on turning on each other and that's is how most of them ended up being nabbed. There was however one thing that throughout all their discussions they had not told anyone
'And that is what we intend to handle in the next quarter...'' Said Shlok siting down
'Hold on... I mean all this is quite impressive but... This company has no money to spend on these projects and the banks most definitely do not have won't sanction anymore loans, so how then will you get the funds to handle all this...'' Said Mr. Bhalla causing everyone to look at Ishita to explain
She wanted to scream when that question was asked because things were going how she wanted. Mr. Bhalla had no idea what was coming
'RUADISH is granting this money...'' Said Ishita with a slight smile on her face
'Why would you do that...'' Said Mr. Parmeet
'Well... For starters it is a good investment... This company is going back to its heights and it will do well like it's hey days. Who knows, maybe a partnership will be on the table in future once I know that it is now secure...'' Said Ishita
'But what guarantee are you taking that we will be able to pay back...'' Said Mr. Bhalla
'Your companies as collateral... But only if you fail to pay me back in 6 months'' he said without flinching or even hesitating
Mr. Bhalla locked at her shocked to his wits and quite frankly so were the shareholders, what was she even talking about. They just couldn't put up with that contract because it was way too risky
'No... I can't allow that... That is no deal... How does it help our companies'' Said Mr. Bhalla
'I agree...'' Said Mr. Parmeet
'Fine...I will take my offer back and you will have to find money to fund everything in 3 weeks or you take mine... Either way ... I also have to protect my investments'' Said Ishita

'This is a high risk investment...'' Said Ishita knowing she had won this the day she walked in
There was grumbling and all of them were a bit hesitant but they had no choice in the end and they had to agree. Ishita smiled as they signed off on her proposals knowing there will be a day when Mr. Bhalla will come to her and she would treat him like he treated her father, he would know what it felt like for someone to take everything you worked so hard for in just a split second. Ohhh ... She was going to enjoy this
