CHAPTER EIGHTY ONE

'Oh yes... Sorry... Please come on in...'' Said Santosh as she lead them in

Santosh had no idea what they were doing here with Ishita's kids. I mean she was glad that they were their but every on in that house knew Ishita had vehemently refused that her kids show up in that house. Even though they were with Mihika and Shlok, Santosh had this feeling that there was going to be world war three...

'Can I get you something...'' Asked Santosh

'No we are fine thank you...'' Said Shlok

'How about the kids, can I get you something to eat...'' Said Santosh but Ruhi and Aditya turned to their aunt looking at her before they said no

'Okay... If no one is willing to address the elephant in the room, then I will. Does Ishita know you guys are here...'' Said Simmi

'Simmi...'' Santosh called nervously

'What... It is a valid question...'' Said Simmi

'Uhh no...'' Said Mihika

'So she doesn't know that you two brought her kids here...'' Said Simmi

'Maybe ...'' Said Shlok

'Okay can I just say that this isn't a good idea and you shouldn't be here...'' Said Simmi much to Mihika's irritation

'We can leave if we are not welcome and we can call her to meet us in a caf...'' Said Mihika

'No... It is fine... We will sort this out... I will go get her... Simmi, prepare something to eat for the kids... ' Said Santosh as she walked away

'Come on Mihika... I didn't...'' Simmi tried to justify her statement

'It is fine... Just call Ishita such that I can leave this place...'' Said Mihika pretending she didn't know a thing

'Mihika... Come on...'' Said Shlok as Simmi walked to the kitchen

'Mihika Mama... Is it a good idea that we came here...'' Asked a somewhat terrified Ruhi

'I do not want Mom to get into trouble...'' Said Aditya innocently

'I guess we are going to have to wait and see...'' Said Shlok a bit worried

Santosh got upstairs where Raman's room was and remembered that she had left the keys in her room therefore had to go pick them up. When she got there, her husband was getting ready.

'Where is my watch...'' He asked

'It is on the table... Here let me get it for you...'' Said Santosh walking to the table and picking the watch as well as the keys

'Hey... Where are you going...? You are the one who has my medicines...'' He said

Santosh turned and looked at him realizing that there was a high possibility that once Ishita walked out of that room, she was walking out with her kids as well. This was her chance to show her husband that he had a misconception all along and that those children were actually their grandbabies.

'Uhh... down stairs... Have breakfast first before taking the medicines. Your breakfast is on the dining table, I will bring your medication.'' Said Santosh

'Oh... Okay...How about Raman...? Is he down for breakfast as well? I need to talk to him...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'I will get him for you... Just go down for breakfast...'' Said Santosh impatiently

'Okay... Okay... I am going...'' Siad Mr. Bhalla as he walked out

Santosh sat down crossing her fingers that this didn't blow out of proportion again and her husband would have the sense to see what was right in front of him. She sat in her bedroom such that it gave her husband a few more minutes to process what was waiting for him in the living room.

Mr. Bhalla walked down stairs with the events of last night still on his mind. He knew Ishita knew way more than she led on and he was getting suspicious as to what she was still doing there if she really wanted that divorce as she claimed. He needed to tell Raman about that tunnel, he needed to tell Raman everything related to that tunnel because it meant even Raman may be in trouble given that Restaurant was still under his name, not his father's like they all thought.

'Ruhi are you okay...'' Said Mihika causing Mr. Bhalla to turn hearing the voices of people in his living room

'Yeah... I am just scared...'' Said Ruhi nervous

'Why...'' Asked Shlok

'Do you think he will like me? Do you think dad will like me...'' She asked again

'He would be an idiot not to...'' Said Shlok as he took her tiny hands in his to try and calm her down

Mihika turned to look at Aditya who was nervously fidgeting with his hands as he looked at the stairway waiting for Raman all the while holding his sister's hand as if finding strength in it. It was adorable and also a bit sad because this was a circumstance that would have been avoided. In fact Mihika began wishing that there was another way they could have done this and not because of the case.

'Where the hell is Ishu...'' Murmured Mihika

Mr. Bhalla walked and the first person he laid his eyes on was Ruhi who was holding Shlok's hand. She looked at him before turning and looking at Shlok him reassuring her that everything was going to be alright

'Good Morning Sir...'' Said Aditya causing Mr. Bhalla to turn and look at him

It was like he was looking at a mirror image of his boy at that age. He was Raman reincarnated. He walked to where Aditya was and Ruhi who was seated next to him and knelt down in front of them. He didn't say anything but just stared at them for a couple of minutes.

All the events kept playing in his head of how he treated Ishita and what he could see his son had lost out on. There was absolutely no doubting who's these two were and they were beautiful. It took just a second to fall in love with them and he could now understand the feeling his wife felt.

'Good Morning Sir...'' Said Ruhi but Mr. Bhalla still in shock just sort of looked at them and couldn't say anything something that made the kids a bit nervous

'You do not have to stare so much you are scaring them...'' Said Mihika irritated but it was like Mr. Bhalla was in a dimension of his own

Mihir walked in much to his surprise that Mihika was there as well because this was not what the plan was supposed to be. None of the Iyers were supposed to know that Ishu was here and even if they did know, they were supposed to be in protective custody not here

'What are you doing here...'' He asked as he made it to the living room

'Ohhh... So am not allowed to come here then...'' Said Mihika as she turned to look at Mihir

'What... No... I was just...'' Siad Mihir stammering

'Don't worry... As soon as Ishita walks down stairs we are leaving'' Mihika added

'Speaking of... Why isn't she picking her calls...'' Said Mihir

'I don't know... It is unusual and now even I am a bit worried... Maybe your dad did something...'' Said Shlok

'I for one wouldn't put it past him... He is definitely capable of that...'' Said Mihika causing Mr. Bhalla to look up at her

'Mihika listen...'' Mr. Bhalla began to talk but Mihika interrupted

'Oh no... Ishita is a bit more forgiving... I am not... ' She said angrily

'I just wanted to tell you that...'' Mr. Bhalla said again but she wouldn't let him talk

'Shut up fool... Do not talk to me...'' Said Mihika

'Okay Mihika that's enough... ' Said Mihir

'Whatever... Where is Ishita...'' Said Mihika ignoring Mihir

'Yeah, where the hell is Ishu... ' Said Shlok impatiently

'I will go check...'' Said Simmi as she walked upstairs to Raman's room

Ishita and Raman stayed up all night doing absolutely nothing except playing video games. It was unbelievably good for the both of them and they had had a splendid time but as Raman would later understand, his wife was more complicated than she led on and he was just about to find out.

He woke up a few minutes earlier turning is head as Ishita rested on his chest. It was as if out of impulse that every time he tried to move away, she pulled him in and held him tighter. He enjoying just put his arms around her and just held her.

He hoped he would have spent an entire day just holding her and watching her as she lay in his arms but as fate would have it this was not going to be that day. He heard the door knob turn causing him to look up as he saw his mom and Simmi walk in

'Bhai...'' Simmi said

'Shhhsss... Softly ...'' Whispered Raman

'Sorry...'' Said Simmi smiling

This was a side of her brother she never really for to see, very love struck like some puppy

'Look... Her kids are in the Livingroom...'' Said a somewhat nervous Santosh

'What...'' Said Raman

'Aditya and Ruhi are downstairs...'' Said Simmi

'Am sorry I do not understand... How are they here... Why are they here...'' Said Raman confused

'I do not know... Mihika is here so is Shlok and now Mihir just walked in looking for Ishita as well...'' Said Simmi

'They are really here... The kids ...'' Said Raman shocked as tears filled his eyes

His mother could see how much this meant and she could also see he was trying to hold it together but he was failing miserably. She looked at him and she too began chocking up not believing after everything, he had a glow about him.

'Okay... I will wake her up...'' He finally gathered the strength to speak as he turned and looked at Ishita who was still sleeping without a worry in the world

'Raman...'' Said Santosh causing him to look up at her

'She is never going to give you a chance to fight for her... She is stubborn, in a lot of ways like your father... You need to...'' Said Santosh but Raman interrupted

'I know mom... I got it...'' He said confidently

'Okay then... Wake her up... Let us see how this goes...'' Said Santosh as she and Simmi walked out

'Ishu... Ishu ...'' Raman called her after the door closed

'Hhhmmm...'' She said grumbling sleepily

'Come on wake up...'' Said Raman as he chuckled

'Why... It is so early in the morning...'' Said Ishita her eyes still closed

'Actually it is a little after 10...'' Said Raman causing Ishita to sit up as she said

WHAT...'' She said looking at the wall clock

'NO...NO...NO... I am screwed...'' She said as she jumped out of bed

'Where... What... Hold on... Where are you going ...'' Asked Raman

'I had an appointment for today as 8:00 am. Where is my phone...'' Said Ishita panicking

'On the table... Just calm down ...'' Said Raman

'I can't calm down... I can't believe I missed that meeting... My God ...'' She said as she looked at her phone

I have close to 45 missed calls... Yeah I have to go...'' She said looking at Raman who just sat back and watched her panic. This was a sight he missed sometimes, Ishita being imperfect, made this feel like she was as human as he was

'Can I use your bathroom...'' She asked

'Sure... whatever you want...'' he said folding his hands as he looked at her

Ishita was a bit surprised at his calm demeanor but she also knew that she had way more important things at stake than worry about Raman's unpredictable behavior. She hoped into the shower taking about 25 minutes to get done and dressed as well

'Why are you still in bed...'' She asked looking at Raman

'Actually I am not in bed but on it... I woke up am hour and half a go'' Said Raman

What... Why didn't you wake me up...'' Said Ishita a bit upset

'Am sorry, you just looked so peaceful while you slept. I didn't want to disturb you...'' Said Raman but before Ishita could answer, her phone buzzed

'Hello...'' She said shaking her head as she received it

'Well it took you long enough to pick up. Where the hell are you'' Said Abhishek

'At the Bhallas... What is it'' Said Ishita

'Plans changed... Haven't you talked to Mihika yet ... She should be their...'' Said Abhishek

'No I haven't... I am going to do just that'' Said Ishita

'Good... Let her fill you in. Also we needed to remove them from the house and take them somewhere safe. Given it was such a late tip; we figured we just get all of them at the same place that. Brief them but make sure he is just on the need to know basis...'' Said Abhishek

'Who is them...'' Said Ishita confused

'Raman and your kids... Seriously what is up with you this morning ...'' Said Abhishek

'My kids are here...'' Said Ishita confused again

'Okay... Is it safe to talk...'' Said Abhishek causing Ishita to turn back and look at Raman

'Excuse me...'' She said before she turned and walked out going to the balcony and closing the glass door

'Yeah... Talk...'' She said as she looked at Raman who just kept on looking at her through the glass door but still seated on the bed
