@Khuarnav - I agree with all your comments.. I'm still not sure if Ishita agreed that she had an affair.. She always told Raman that she don't love him or rather she slept with him..can we categorize talking to a friend may be little bit crossing lines is an affair? What if a women is in place of Abhi? I'm not supporting Ishita but if she accepts that she has an affair then what the hell she is doing at hotel and where is she going in elevator in the hotel.. Why did she say it is complicated ? If she knows Abhi love her then she should have cut him off long back or at least keep a distance..since she did none don't know what we should imply that she is flirting with him and doing time-pass?

Kushan and Mihir said that Ishita was with Abhi until 3 years before..provided what ever happened 7 years before she still met him 4 more years? That is Absurd and we hope she has better explanation for it

Irrespective what she did she cannot be called as Wh**re and that Insult by Raman is not acceptable..but I'm not happy with Ishu on the way she spoke to Mrs.Bhalla that is as well unacceptable.. Irrespective of all this they love each other and they still do .. Both have to believe and trust each other then no 3rd person like Shagun or Mr.Bhalla could interfere in their life

It's a great story and I'm glad to be part of the journey and can you please ensure Shagun gets what she deserves as well.. I initially thought she is in love and she is not in love she cannot be considered human and please disclose Cancer track as well

CHAPTER FORTY FIVE

'I tried to destroy what I had but it wasn't working and I tried to frame Shagun but she sort of caught me trying to plant the files in her room... At that time, dad was hunting for blood given how much you were bound to loss and wanted everyone who had anything to do with those designs to pay... And Shagun saw this as an opportunity so she grabbed my hand and told me if I said anything... She was taking me to the police and handing me over and so I panicked and kept my mouth shut'' Said Mihir

'Why didn't you just come to me... Why didn't you just tell me...'' Said Raman

'Come on Raman who are we kidding... You trusted that woman more than you trusted your own wife, if I told you she was playing you, you would never have believed me. Our relationship was so bad then and we didn't like each other... I knew that no one was going to believe the drunken junkie so I kept quiet... I just didn't know how far she would go...'' Said Mihir disappointment in his voice

'What do you mean go far? What did she do...?'' Said Raman

'The person Mihika was working with had managed to give her some time to try and fix what was going on but Shagun reported her to her bosses and implicated Shlok as well. That is the time they arrested Shlok...'' Said Mihir much to the Raman's disgust

'Which brings us to the day; she came to the house asking for Shlok to be released... As you remember during the coding Romi came back in and asked her to leave with him...'' Said Simmi

'Yes and the left together...'' Said Raman

'That is the time Mihika had been arrested as well... Ishita knew there was more to it and so did Romi and he knew if they stayed there, they might say things that would end upbringing problems given the designs were in Shlok's room and it looked like he handed Mihika the designs as well as Mihir...'' Said Simmi

'When I told dad about it he was mad at me and wanted to just come out and say the truth but something happened to him that he just sort of kept quiet and asked me to do the same...'' Said Mihir

'Wait... Dad knew all this while...'' Said Raman and Mihir nodded before he added

'And so did you fianc...'' Said Simmi

'Why didn't you guys say anything then...'' Said Raman as he got pissed

'Raman... You and dad forbid anyone from talking about her in that house. Anyone how came to you to say a thing you turned them down and threatened to throw them out...'' Said Simmi

'You think I enjoyed seeing them in jail and struggle for what wasn't their fault... It hurt... It was hard, you didn't see them, not that you cared anyway...'' Said Mihir causing Raman to charge to him as if he wanted to hit him but Simmi stood in his way

'If you are going to get angry at everything we are going to say, this will not end...'' Said Simmi as she pushed him back before she turned to Mihir

Simmi could see how hard this was for Raman to hear but she could also see it was taking everything in Mihir not to break down because there was something that not many people knew; he was in love with Mihika then, maybe even now, so that betrayal he knew was something she could never forgive

Back at Ishita's house, Shagun had showed up screaming all sorts of threats and even the people who were n that living room were finding it hard to fathom what she was talking about

'I swear... This is all you... Now he is not here... I know you have him...'' She barked

'Okay first of all this is not a market so stop shouting and two, what is it now...'' Said Ishita calmly

'Raman... I am talking about Raman... Where is he'' Shagun said

'How am I supposed to know where he is? I don't have a pouch where I keep him with me everywhere I go...'' Said Ishita amused

'Don't play dumb Ishita it doesn't suit you...'' Said Shagun

'Then stop pretending you care; it doesn't suit you either... You are only worried with the fact that I might tell him what has been going on...'' Said Ishita

'Ishita please, tell me where he is... I am worried about him... Please tell me'' Begged Shagun

'You stop acting there is no Bhalla in the room... And to answer your question, I do not know where Raman is'' Said Ishita

'So where is he...'' She asked

'By the way, if history has taught you anything, you will know once this sort of behavior starts, means he is losing interest, if he is losing interest... Means he is either tired of you and is falling back in love with me or he is remembering some things and putting them into perspective. Either way none of the results of that are in your favor'' And she shut down the laptop walking away

'It is not fair Ishu... I don't deserve this... He wasn't yours to begin with...'' Said Shagun her voice breaking

'Ohh and I am guessing he was yours. In case you forgot, he asked me to marry him, fell in love with me while you bribed your way into his family. Granted his father loved you but that was never enough so your strategy backfired. It was idiotic from your part and do not blame me for that... As of everything else, I really do not care...'' Said Ishita much to the surprise of the two men in the room who for the first time had no idea what these two were talking about

'I love him Ishu... You know I do and I would do anything for him you know that... He doesn't deserve...'' Said Shagun but at that point Ishita was getting irritated and didn't want to know anything more

'Jai... Jai ...'' Ishita called as she fought back the tears in her eyes

'Ji didi...'' Said Jai

'This is the last time I warn you about allowing unwanted guests into my house. If it happens again, you are losing your job...'' Said Ishita

'I am sorry Madam...'' Said Jai who knew his boss was not in a very good mood

'Please show her out...'' Said Ishita looking straight at Shagun without flinching

'This won't change the fact about what actually happened. I will tell him... I will tell him everything...'' Said Shagun

'Be my guest... I dare you to do so Shagun...'' Said Ishita knowing Shagun didn't have it in her to do that because then it meant she lost out on Raman too

When Shagun was finally showed the door, Shlok looked at the Ishita fully shocked and for the first time since all this begun, he started to have a feeling of uncertainty as if he wasn't sure anymore what this was all about

'Ishu... What was she talking about...'' Said Shlok

'Nothing important... ' Said Ishita shutting Shlok down as she walked upstairs

'What the hell was that about...'' Said Romi and Shlok just shrugged his shoulders saying he had no idea

Back at the hotel, Simmi had managed to calm Raman down who was filled with fury given whatever he was hearing. He had every right to given how much he was lied to but she also understood that he needed to hear it all and they had to get back to business and just put all this to bed

'Okay... Can we get back to what is important...'' Said Simmi before she added

'Back then as you know, the Iyers were expanding their restaurant business and they had asked for...'' Said Simmi and Raman completed

'They took a loan from us... I know... I convinced dad to sanction it... What has that got to do with anything...'' Said Raman

'Well... When their daughter and Shlok were taken to jail they ended to bail them out and also pay money that was owed. That is when the whole excessive withdraws from Ishita began... They had to cater for a lot and so...'' Said Simmi hoping Raman filled in the gaps

'She needed it... Why the hell didn't she tell me ... I would have helped her ... She knows I would have... Why...'' Said Raman sitting down

'Okay this is the part of the story that is going to really hurt...'' Said Simmi as she sat down with Raman and took his hand

'The hospital... the one where the tests were taken... Ishita was supposed to go there and do the tests and she did but the doctors told her she was looking a bit pale which was not okay for her or her unborn children...'' Said Mihir

'So given she never trusted Shagun at that point, she opted to go to another hospital for a second opinion and they had the same thing to say...'' Said Simmi

'They told her to head back for checkup after she was finished the dosage she was given. She did the test and other test too... And that is when they told her to have the biopsy...'' Said Mihir looking at Raman

'What do you mean biopsy? Why would she be getting a biopsy...'' Said Raman who felt like his throat was suddenly running dry

'They sent her to an oncologist who told her that she had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma...'' Said Mihir as he began getting teary

'It is a sort of...'' Said Simmi but Raman who by now had tears streaming down his face said

'It is a form of cancer... I know...'' He said as whatever happened between them began playing in his mind like a broken cassette tape.

'By the time they diagnosed her, it was bad, stage 3 and the doctors were telling them that they had options of treatment for her but they all involved her having those babies prematurely because they were killing her and she given her immune system was going to shambles was killing them... She had to have them prematurely...'' Said Simmi

'The Iyers wanted what was best and they knew they needed the best out there to give her a good chance for survival so when the asked the doctors, she told them about this trial treatment that was being given and she was a very good candidate.. There was just one problem...'' Said Mihir

'They had run out of money with the whole Simmi and Shlok business... Also dad had ceased their house since they hadn't paid that loan in over 3 months...So they had nowhere to get it except beg for help from you and dad'' Said Simmi as tears began filling hers.

Raman sat there listening to his siblings talking and he felt like they were talking about someone else and not his life. So much had happened. So much had gone so wrong and for what... It didn't even make sense now given what they had put each other through. Every little thing he saw then that he ignored or misinterpreted made sense now

'Raman please my sister is dy ...'' Said Mihika but Raman lost his patience and said

'GET OUT... '

'Please just listen to me...'' Said Mihika as she got on her knees and pleaded some more

'I said get out of my office and do not come back here or try and show your face here again...'' He said before he called security

'Achuuu... Oh God excuse me...'' She said again

'Ishu when was the last time you went to the doctor...'' Said Shlok

'Uhhh I don't... Three months go maybe...'' Said Ishita

'When is your next visit...'' He asked

'Next month... Shlok don't worry I am fine. It is just allergies or something...'' Said Ishita

'Yeah I am not buying that. Your health shouldn't take a back seat just because...'' Said Shlok but Ishita knowing what he was going to say interrupted

'It won't I promise you. I am fine... If it gets worse I will let you know.'' Said Ishita

'Oh My God...'' He said putting his hand on his mouth as if he couldn't quite fathom what he was hearing and just wanted to scream

'She knew once this disease took over it was going to be hard for her to do anything about it and she wanted to do right by her children... She was going to tell everything that day about what she found out with me and Shagun and what dad had done to them but...'' Said Mihir and Simmi completed

'Dad wouldn't let her come anywhere near you and Shagun... Shagun made sure she added fuel on that fire every time it tried to come down, she would fuel it and it would burn some more...''

'We Bhallas have a weakness, we never really talk to each other so in a way we are very secretive, almost as if by default... Shagun knew that, saw that and exploited it. Dad and Ishita's relationship has never been good but Shagun made it worse and he hated Ishita even the more. Which in a way resonated through you ... Ishu and you were also not so trusting of each other and that too she played to her advantage... It worked and she was winning ' Said Simmi

'Mr. Bhalla, listen to me... I saw her... I was going there to check on a friend and I saw her there with him. She was with her sister and her parents were in the waiting room while he was ushered in on a wheel chair...'' Said Shagun

'What do you mean? Mr. Bhalla said

'She said she would stay away until the results came back... I tell you I saw her... She was there with Abhi... And what surprised me is that Simmi was also there...'' Said

'What would she be doing in the hospital... Maybe she is not doing well...'' Said Santosh

'No... It is not that. They were in the waiting area while Simmi was wheeling him and taking him to his room. He looked like he had been beaten and she was helping him.. When they saw me, they tried to hide'' Said Shagun

'At that time I was pretty much the only person in that house who knew that she was ill and I so wanted to tell you but Ishu, she wouldn't let me. Actually blackmailed me saying if I told you, she would tell dad I was dating Suraj which wouldn't work given at that time, everyone in that house pretty much hated Raghavs...'' Said Simmi

'Dad was ballistic and he wanted to just match over to the hospital and tell Ishita off but he knew if he did that, you would never believe that Ishita was never the wife for you so, he waited until the day of the results...'' Said Mihir

'Shagun picked the results and came home and so did Ishita... And you know how the rest panned out...'' Said Simmi and Raman just sat there feeling like the walls were closing in

'She knew... She knew something wasn't right and yet she didn't do anything...'' He said as he remembered biting himself out for how his marriage fell apart so easily

'Why didn't she want me to know...'' He added

'I don't know... Ego, shame, worry, embarrassment maybe, I don't know but she didn't want you to know. She always said most people change their attitudes towards someone just because they were sick. She didn't want your pity I guess. Her coming home with that contract and that text was her in a way testing whether or not for once you would just take a leap of faith and trust her... 'What the hell is the matter with you... How dare you... How dare you do something like that? He is your brother how can you do that? He is your brother...'' Yelled Mr. Bhalla

'I have no idea what you are talking about...I have been with a friend who wasn't doing well so I am exhausted. What is the big deal with that'' Said Simmi as she put her bag on the floor and looked at her dad

'What is the big deal? You are asking me, what is the big deal? What is wrong with you...'' Said Mr. Bhalla as he came forward and stood in front of his daughter

'That girl is bad news and I don't want you hanging out with her anymore'' He added

'I genuinely have no idea what you are talking about or whom...'' Said Simmi

'You were at the hospital when she was taking care of that imbecile...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Vishu... Calm down...'' Said Santosh

'Okay I have absolutely no idea who you are talking about'' Said Simmi

'Ishita... I am talking about Ishita. You were at the hospital while she took care of that ignorant idiot Abhi...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Whoa... Whoa...Whoa... Stop... Back up...What'' Said a shocked Simmi

'You heard me... I don't want you talking to her. In fact I don't want you leaving this house... That is it'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'No... I won't... I am a grown woman who can go wherever I want whenever I want. I am not 10 years old...'' Said Simmi and this just made Mr. Bhalla even the more angry

'What happened to you papa? She is family and no matter what is happening she is family. She is married to your son and carrying his children, contrary to what the demon has told you... What happened to the man who raised me, the one who understood and cared about people, what happened to that man? He wasn't even there to take care of him, given she is there because your men beat him up...'' Said Simmi in one breath looking at her dad and he was genuinely getting more and more pissed off

'Simmi keep quiet...'' Said Santosh but Simmi wasn't having it

'That is all you can say, that is all you ever say. That woman whom you welcomed into this house with open hands is the reason we are in this mess. You protect her and trust her after knowing her less than a year... Ishita has been married to your son for almost 4 years and yet you have never given her a chance...'' Said Simmi

'Simmi... Go to your room right now or you may say something you regret...'' Said Santosh

'Where is the father I grew up knowing? Where is the man who raised me to be good to people and be respectful? You hired someone to beat up the poor guy; if Ishita was there she was only trying to do the right thing. I don't know you anymore... I feel embarrassed to say I am your daughter given them man you have come to be...'' Said Simmi

'SIMMI...'' Barked Mr. Bhalla as he charged forward raising his hand but didn't hit her, he rather just walked out

'Simmi your room now...'' Said Santosh

'But ma...'' said Simmi

'Go now...'' Said Simmi

'And that was the last time dad and I had a normal conversation... He thought I was taking sides but the truth is... I wasn't even in that hospital for Ishu per say but was there for Suraj. His brother was in the hospital beaten with a broken rib and everything was just falling apart around him and so he needed me...'' Said Simmi as she remembered

'Did dad know that you were in love with Suraj then...'' Asked Raman

'No... But Shagun would tell him eventually...'' Said Simmi

'Why was Shagun doing all this...'' Said Raman

'Jealousy for Ishu I guess... I don't know or maybe she was just a callous person... I can never answer that question, she is the only one who can...'' Said Simmi

'Now everything that has happened to you thus far, Shagun has been a common factor, but there is more...'' Said Mihir causing Raman to look at him

'A couple of weeks had gone by and dad was in paranoia over drive. He thought Ishita was going to come back and sue for divorce and alimony and would somehow extract revenge or something like that and so he hired me to spy for him...''

'Spy for him how...'' Said Raman

'When Ishita left the house that day, you were of course not in a right frame of mind to do anything so dad took over. He and Kushan wanted to make sure there was no loop hole in that document she made you sign and dad also wanted to keep tabs with Ishita. He knew she and I were friends and I still had an in with the Iyers so he paid me to spy for him and I was willing to do it as well given I got paid.'' Said Mihir as he grabbed a bottle of water

'At that point Mihika and I were not talking so much... She and I had this relationship where she managed to understand me even when I wasn't able to say a thing. I even tried to get clean just for her. But then all this happened. I never really had that relationship with anyone much less my family...'' He added

'Meaning what...'' Said Raman

'Mihika and I understood each other... She is among the few people in my life I could count on. We were the other children, we both knew it. Our parents had their golden children and then there was us. Mihika didn't mind because not once had she ever been made to feel like she was a mistake but she did understand my plight. Mom tried to fix that so she over compensated by pampering me and Simmi.'' Said Mihi letting out a soft laugh

Any was she called me scared and asked me to get to the hospital. She and I were not talking terms and I knew if she was calling me then something was off. I found out from friends that Ishita was at the hospital and had had her babies prematurely. I wanted to go make sure she was fine given she had just had surgery and that is when I found out about...'' Said Mihir

Mihir walked into the hospital reception area and the first person he saw when he walked in was Abhimanyu. He was screaming at the poor nurse asking her to tell him what the hell was wrong with Ishita but the nurse was telling him they couldn't divulge patient's information like that. Mihir walked to where Abhimanyu was tapping his shoulder as he asked

'Dude... Calm Down... What are you doing here...'' causing Abhimanyu to turn around

' 'Mihi thank God you are here, I have been here for the last half an hour asking these people to tell me where the hell Ishita is but no one is willing to tell me a thing...Now this woman is here talking to me like an a crazy person'' Said Abhimanyu agitated

'Just calm down...What the hell are you even doing here? What makes you think they will allow you to see Ishita?'' Said Mihir

'What sort of question is that? Stop being stupid... She is my friend and I care about her... Of course I would want to know how she is doing when she is sick. I am the head of the Cyber Division India you really think I wouldn't have known that she is sick...'' Said Abhimanyu irritated and he really did seem like he had no idea what was going on

'Okay I am confused...'' Said Mihir turning as he grabbed Abhimanyu's hand and took him to the waiting room area

'I am either high right now or I am hallucinating. You are not supposed to be here. She can barely stand you. You f**ked up her marriage, you are the reason all this is happening and when things got tough you just sat back in the corner and let things rumble as you kept on fueling the flames... Sick or not she doesn't want to see you'' Said Mihir

'What nonsense ... What is going on... I haven't been in this country in four months. Do you understand that? I have no idea of what you are talking about'' Said Abhimanyu and Mihir could see he was really telling the truth

'What do you mean?'' Said Mihir

'Listen, the last time I saw Ishita was at the party at my apartment. I walked in with her and she was fine, I cleared with reception and together we made our way waiting for the elevator to come up to the get together. You know because you were there. On our way, she saw her husband and froze... I knew it and I could see it. I helped her open the elevator door and she walked out. That was the last time I set my eyes on her. I haven't even talked to her since because she won't take my calls... The project ended and that is why I am back and I was supposed to go to Goa but I heard she was sick that is why I am here...'' Said Abhimanyu

'That doesn't make sense'' Said Mihir

'Believe me I know... Everything is so f**ked up. I went home to have a change of clothes and my parents' wouldn't; let me in. They kept on yelling about all sorts of crazy stories but I couldn't deal so I just came straight here... I need to talk to her... Romi won't tell me a thing and I can't get a hold of my brother and now you are here talking nonsense. Can you tell me what the f**k is going on...'' Said Abhimanyu

'So I sat there staring at him like I was a fool and him looking at me like I was crazy. He genuinely had absolutely no idea on what had happened in that last four months. I couldn't quiet explain it because it as just that strange...'' Said Mihir

'Where were Romi and Shlok while all this was happening...'' Said Raman

'Oh Romi was running around trying to find some court person because Shlok was in jail... Again ...'' Said Mihir

'What... Why...'' Said Raman surprised

'He stole from his father to pay for Ishita's first dose of treatment... You know chemotherapy and his father wasn't happy at all so he sent him to jail...'' Said Mihir

'Wow... Now I get why she cares about him like that...'' Said Raman

'Yeah she and him are best of friends. She helps him without even a second thought and he in turn would do the same. It is bizarre at first I even thought he was in love with her... But no, it is just a friendship that is so pure loyal and simple'' Said Mihir

'What happened next...'' Said Raman

'Oh then Mihika walked out...'' Said Mihir

Mihika walked out and she could see Mihir and Abhimanyu sitting in the waiting area. She was livid she charged ahead and wanted to smack him across the face but he grabbed her hand instead causing commotion all over again

'Calm down... Mihika don't create a scene...'' Said Abhimanyu

As Mihika tried to calm herself down Suraj came walking into the room as he said

'You are not supposed to be here... You are supposed to be in the other room resting. Give that broken rib a chance to heal'' Said Suraj

'What broken rib? What are you talking about...? I am not sick...'' Said Abhimanyu

Mihir looked at Abhimanyu like he was looking at a ghost. He ran back inside and after a few seconds came back out again...

'I am supposed to be taking care of you in there because you have a broken rib but...'' Said Suraj but Abhimanyu interrupted

'Well clearly the person you are treating in there isn't me. As you can see I am in perfect health. So can someone tell me what the hell is going on...'' Said Abhimanyu

'Oh My God...'' Said Suraj who looked like the wind had been sucked out of him

'WHAT...'' Said Abhimanyu who was getting impatient

'Just come with me...'' Said Suraj and together they left

'We all followed him inside and Alas low and behold there was this guy, lying in bed amped up on morphine sleeping peacefully with a face of a man that we all knew. It was so surreal he was like a mirror image of Abhimanyu. I mean save for the tiny scar just above his eye, everything was perfect resemblance... Like a carbon copy...'' Said Mihir a bit excited to tell Raman about this

'There were two on them...'' Said Raman

'Yes...I mean there we were standing in the hospital bed with on Abhimanyu standing there and another sleeping peacefully in bed. It was ridiculous... Abhimanyu too looked like he was seeing a Ghost and couldn't understand.'' Said Mihir

'Believe me when I was told, I couldn't believe it...'' Said Simmi

'Everything after that began falling into place... I remember Ishita was just walking out of their and she was a bit oozy and needed Mihika to take her home. She walked into the room and saw them causing her to collapse. It was too much. The nurses gave her a bed and asked that they gave her space to recuperate given the drugs she had just had ,were strong...'' Said Mihir

'By the time Ishita woke up the following morning we were all there and had pretty much deduced that the Abhimanyu in bed was someone else with the help of his parents...'' Said Simmi

'Apparently Abhimanyu was adopted when he was 4 months old, the Raghavs were told that the mother couldn't take care of them both so she took one of the sons and left the other. They never wanted to make their children feel any different so they never told them especially given Mrs. Raghav conceived a year after they adopted Abhimanyu... So the mystery man was actually his twin brother...'' Said Mihir

'Ishu remembered the tattoo above his eye... She said when he kissed her and she slapped him, she remembered the scar just above the eye and she knew, there was more to that story...'' Said Simmi

There was a lot of ways this story could have gone but in no way or form did he expect that it would turn out like this. Everything he was hearing he could' quite wrap his head around. How could it be that he was so gullible not to notice something was off with Shagun, how could he just not know. He had better instincts than that why couldn't he just figure it out

'How is that even possible...'' Said Raman and before anyone could answer off, the lock in the door was over turned and someone was getting in

'Are you expecting anyone...'' Asked Raman

'No... I don't think so...Did Ishu tell you about anyone'' Said Simmi

'No...'' Said Mihir as they all stood up and turned looking at the door

The person walked in and closed the door looking carefree as possible with headsets as he whistled to the music he was listening to.

'Whoa...'' He said as he turned startled

'Jesus... You scared me...'' He added

'Who are you'' Asked Simmi

'Who are you...'' Asked the man

'I am Simmi, Ishita's sister in law... Who are you...'' Said Simmi

'Oh right... Sorry... I am Bala'' He said

'What are you doing here...'' Said Simmi

'I swear Ishu... Does everyone come into this suite as much as they want'' Said Mihir

'No... Just those she considers family... He works for her somehow... I just put my finger on in but I think I know him'' Said Simmi

'Whatever if Ishita gave him a key, it means she trusts him... Just let him, be ...'' Said Raman before he garbed Simmi's hand and sat her back down saying

'So... I need to know this Shagun married business... This woman has been leaving in my house for close to 7 years... Who allows his wife to go to another man's home for all those years...'' Said Raman

'I don't know... I have a theory... I think their scheme was to somehow separate you and Ishu while Shagun walked in and took you for everything you owned. All I know is with Shagun, money was at the center of all this...'' Said Mihir

'So she was working with him all long... Everything... She just ...'' Said Raman

'Yeah... When Ishita found out, she didn't want to let Shagun know that she knew and so she let the lie flow leaving them to believe she had no idea what was going on. Actually after her first round of chemotherapy, she wanted to tell you but she thought you may not believe her so she decided to call the only person she knew would get through you... Dad ...'' Said Simmi

'The only problem is she didn't anticipate how bad Shagun had managed to taint her and how that stunt of the whole custody issue with you just made it worse. He got to the Iyers telling them he wanted to talk but he had actually gone to carry out your due diligence... ' Said Mihir

'Meaning what...'' Said Raman

'Yes... I really wanted to talk to you about something...'' Said Ishita as Mr. Bhalla walked in but then she saw Kushan walk in and she could see as she stood at the door that Shagun and Santosh were in the car

'What are they doing here?'' Said Ishita

'You see my son has had to go through a lot because of you and has had enough. He couldn't make it here mostly because he can't stand you so he sent me and his lawyers and trusted few'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Sent you to do what'' Said Ishita as tears filled her eyes because in her heart of hearts she knew

'To give you these...'' Said Mr. Bhalla as Kushan handed her papers

Ishita looked at them and looked back at Mr. Bhalla as tears filled her eyes and she couldn't believe it

'No... I am not signing these... Tell him if he wants it. He should come and get that signature himself'' Said Ishita

'Look let us not waste each other's time... You and I know that Raman is never going to allow you back in his life after what he found out. So just save yourself the headache...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'He doesn't know anything... And when he finds out what you are doing... You will not like it'' Said Ishita as tears streamed down her face

'How did you think this was going to end? I mean you have been cheating on him since you met and now you are claiming innocence... You aborted his first child and gave some cock and bull story about still babies...'' Said Mr. Bhalla something that shocked everyone even Kushan

'What... Even Raman knows it that is why he was too disgusted to show up and see you. He wants this divorce and you are going to give it or he is going to humiliate you like the characterless woman you are'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Ishita's chemotherapy wasn't working and she needed something stronger. There was a study in Chicago that if she got in, she would have a higher chance of you know, getting better... So Mihika, Shlok and Romi hatched a plan... ' Said Mihir

'What plan...'' Asked Simmi

'You have to understand we had no choice... It was either this or she dies and that was an option they were not willing to explore...'' Said Mihir

'There was no money, at least it wasn't enough... Abhimanyu had managed to pull a few strings and they were willing to let her in as a last minute addition. They had already chosen their candidates and so that process was closed. We got someone who was willing to get us on there and all we had to do is pay...'' Said Mihir as Raman slumped back in his seat as he completed

'3.4 Million Rupees...'' Said Raman

'Exactly... Ishu threw Mr. Bhalla out but she was so hurt that she just signed and threw them back at Kushan... Now Mr. Bhalla had no idea that she hadn't so Kushan walked back and told him, she said you pay up the money then get her signature... And Dad paid without hesitation...Ishita was ill, heartbroken and at that point she just lived for her children so when they told her she had been accepted into the trial, she couldn't say no... So she up and left and that is how they ended up in Chicago'' Said Mihir

'Wait so she still thinks she wanted to divorce her on those beliefs...'' Said Simmi

'Yeah... I remember the day she left, she told me to tell dad that she never forgot debt and that she always paid back with interest...'' Said Mihir

'Meaning...'' Said Raman

'I don't know... All I know you had the good heart of thinking Shagun would help out with Ishita when she was hurting but she just created a war instead and it hurt to see our family break apart... I am just glad that you took a promise from her and she didn't turn her back when our family needed her, when you needed her...'' Said Mihir

'I have heard you say that a couple of times but I have never asked her to keep any such promise to me... I swear I don't remember any promise of that sort... ' Said Raman much to Mihir and Simmi's surprise

'Then what other reason could she have for helping us... Our family has done nothing but treat her badly... Why would she help...? It can't be out of the goodness of her heart. No one is that good'' Said Simmi

'I can't believe how much I screwed up my marriage... She was innocent the entire time'' Said Raman

'No you haven't...'' He answered Simmi

'Wait... I know you... I remember... You are Abhi's partner... I saw a photograph... You were at the academy together isn't it...'' Said Simmi causing Bala to give in

'Why would Ishita be helping you crash here...? Does she know you...'' Said Mihir

'Yeah... She is my friend plus the whole fumigating was last minute and I needed a place to crash, She owned the hotel so I figured no one to help me in this predicament than her'' Said Bala

'This one... She bought this like three or four years ago, something to do with keeping enemies closer... Shouldn't you know this...'' Said Bala looking at Mihir but he just shrugged casing Bala to smile

'Wow Ishu... I am impressed...'' He said

'What is going on...'' Said Simmi

'She is my friend and so is Abhi so I can't really tell you because they take priority over some random strangers...'' Said Bala

'Tell me what the hell is going on or you are not leaving this place...'' Said Raman

'Really... You want to keep me hostage, I am licensed and own a gun you know...Being a police officer I know a thing or two about how to use it'' Said Bala looking at Raman who was holding his collar. Raman stepped back and Bala fixed himself and his clothes before he said

'Let me just give you something to sort of latch on to because in all honesty I feel sorry for you'' Said Bala as he put his bag down and said

'Whatever it is that you all are discussing ... Let me suggest that you are feeling him in whatever is happening which by the way means her instincts where spot on so kudos to her... She always thought you tow would tell him, I mean eventually you would... He is your brother and blood is thicker than water but there we are... She knew you all would tell him eventually...'' Said Bala impressed

'See the thing is... She never really told you anything... She only told you what she wanted you to know and what she thought you wanted to hear... ' Said Bala

'I am still not understanding...'' Said Mihir

You managed to humiliate his daughter that she was having children from an extramarital affair while her father was being branded a thief and losing his house... ' Said Bala

'That is... I don't know what you are talking about...What house, I don't know what you are talking about'' Said Raman shocked

'Of course you don't, you always closed yourself when things got tough ... The man lost everything he worked for in less than a year and he couldn't take care of his own child when she was sick... 'Why do you make it sound like she is a hateful and treacherous person. That is not the Ishita I know...'' Said Raman

'Raman what is he talking about...'' Said Mihir seeing as his brother looked like he wasn't hearing this for the first time

'Mr. Bala, please I know you know so answer me... Is she still with Abhimanyu'' Raman asked causing Bala to turn and say

'Regardless of who loves her, that woman loves you Raman and you are her weakness. She knows it so she will do everything in her power to hide it because she thinks she is protecting you or something ridiculous like that. But to break down those concrete walls she has up, you need to be strong. She is a very complicated, challenging and difficult woman to love and only a man strong enough can handle that but once you cross that wall, she is the warmest person you will ever know... If you want to fix anything, forget the marriage and how it came crushing down, forget the bullshit and think whether or not you still love her. If the answer is yes, trust her...'' Said Bala as he came forward and tapped Raman's shoulder

'Your family is in trouble, no doubting that and she will help your family no doubt... Your father might feel the end of it but she will see it through. Shagun, your fianc, she is like a demon and until she is out of your life, Ishu won't go anywhere. The thing is, as soon as Shagun is put in her place which will be soon by the way, she is going to walk away from your life and it doesn't matter what you will do, you will never see her or her children ever again... And with the way you are looking at me I can tell you know that already'' Said Bala before he eventually walked out

Raman stood there feet planted on the ground as he watched the door close with a million things going on through his mind. It means Ishita knew all along... But no ... It can't be...

Simmi and Mihir watched their brother's face go cold as they realized, there was a story way there that these three (Shagun, Ishita and Raman) were not telling anyone

Bala locked the door behind him and made his way straight to the private parking area where he got into a vehicle that someone was waiting for him in

'Did he buy it...'' Said Abhimanyu

'I don't know... I guess we will have to wait and see but I tried to tell him as much as I could without telling him anything'' Said Bala

'Good... I hope this time he doesn't sit on his ass and actually does something about it.'' Said Abhimanyu

'I have to ask though... Shouldn't it have been easier if he didn't know? I mean you love her, just win her over, this would have been the right time with her doing whatever it is she is planning'' Said Bala

'Yes I love her but she loves him... I can't let her drown again... It will kill her... I can't have that... I can't see her go through that again... I don't think she will survive it'' Said Abhimanyu

'Well you are a better man that me'' Said Bala as they drove away from the parking lot
