CHAPTER SEVENTY FOUR

Raman just put his arms around her and pulled her in fighting the urge to cry and break down in her arms. He had to be strong for everyone in his family because he knew even with whatever had been going on between them and how screwed up their relationships were, they never liked to admit it but they cared for each other and whatever they had just heard about their father scared them. He really needed this hug and he was so glad that she knew him well enough to know when he needed her and when he needed space.

'Alright then... I will see you all later...'' She said as she let go walking to the door

'Or and Mr. Bhalla, stay away from Shagun made teas...You may not believe me and there is nothing I can do about that. But it won't hurt to be cautious'' She added before walking out and closing the door behind her

'She is a strange girl... One minute she has venom and the next, she is full of love and care...'' Said Santosh

'The venom for dad is still their do not get fooled. The love and care is for Raman... That has always been their...'' Said Mihir as he sat down

'So what happens now...'' Asked Simmi

'Dad gets fine and we go home...'' Said Santosh

'I mean what happens with Shagun...'' Said Simmi

'Oh leave that to me... I will happily take care of that...'' Said Raman

'I wonder though what could that doctor have done that Shagun blackmailed her to do this. She has been our doctor for years...'' Said a clueless Mr. Bhalla

'Wow...'' Said Mihir as he looked at his father

'It is so funny how you try to see the best in everyone else except your own family...'' He added

'I just asked a question...'' Said Mr. Bhalla innocently

'Mihir calm down...'' Said Simmi

'He is trying to justify the woman trying to kill him'' Said Mihir irritated

'Look it just doesn't make sense... She has been working for me for years...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Oh God I swear... Let me put it in a language maybe you will understand...'' Said Mihir getting up and standing right in front of his father

'Seven years ago she swapped the DNA samples that were meant to test the paternity of Ishita and Raman's children. Those DNA reports were falsified. Shagun has been blackmailing her because one this means she loses her license and two given the years she has worked for you, she knows what you do to people you do not like...'' Said Mihir

'Oh God that is why Ishita had her own tests that day...'' Said Santosh

'She swapped DNAs... My God Shagun ...'' Said Mr. Bhalla as he tried to sit up only to cry in pain

'No... No... Don't get up...'' Said Santosh as she sat him down again

'Just let us worry about that... You get better... ' Said Mihir cooling down as he looked at him father who was in pain and Mr. Bhalla just looked back nodding in affirmation as he lay his head down to rest

Mr. Bhalla had spent two days in the hospital which was more time than anticipated but he was doing much better and they were all happy that he was fine. His children were with him the entire time and they made sure that at least one of them was heir when he was awake such that he didn't have to be alone.

None of them went back home in this entire time and Ishita made sure they got whatever they needed while there. It was a bit strange even for Mr. Bhalla seeing how Ishita went out of her way to ensure he was okay but he also understood that this had much to do with Raman more than anything.

He hadn't even realized how much he had screwed up until he witnessed how much she loved his son. It was selfless in a way because she had no obligation what so ever to help them and yet here she was. If she just wanted that divorce from Raman and nothing else, she would have just showed up, helped Raman remember as first agreed and then left. Or better just sued for it but instead she choose to stay here and help.

She had fixed his business and everything was going back as planned. His company was slowly getting back the prestige it once had all because of her, his daughter was married and happy in way because Ishita took care of him and then there was Mihir, he was here, sober, grown and responsible and Ishita was the reason for it. He knew in his heart he had a lot to be grateful for where she was concerned and yet he was too arrogant to admit it.

'This is the last of it... Here are a few medicines just in case the heart palpitations happen again. This is your doctor's number and this... This is an on call nurse, twenty-four hours... You are going to need one...'' Said Ishita as she handed then to Santosh

'Alright, thank you...'' Said Santosh politely

'Your welcome... Uhhh there is a car waiting for you in the parking lot. He will drive you home... JB has taken Raman's car for serving so he isn't here now...'' Said Ishita

'Okay...'' Said Santosh

'How about the bills? Mihir did you handle that...'' Said Mr. Bhalla who was sitting on the bed

'Uhhh No need, Insurance took care of it...'' Ishita said

Whose insurance...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Mihir's... He is a RUADISH employee and they all have medical insurance with family inclusive... You are his father... So Insurance covered that...'' Said Ishita before turning to Raman as she said

'I have a lot to do today so...'' But he interrupted

'Yeah I know you have to go to work but Shlok and Romi called me and said they are handling everything so you do not need to go in today'' Said Raman

'Raman... Look I get why you want me here because I have a lot of explaining to do I know that but you are going back home today, Shagun comes back today. I do not think it will be wise for me to be there. This is your family issue... I think you need the space...'' Said Ishita

'Who said you are not family...'' Said Santosh bluntly much to Ishita's surprise

'Uhhh... I am not...'' Said Ishita

'Come on let us leave... I am tired of being here.'' Said Mr. Bhalla getting up

'Besides, if you have the name Bhalla anywhere in your name, you are family whether you like it or not...'' He added before he walked out with his wife's help

'Okay what just happened...'' Said Ishita much to Raman's amusement

'I think my father just acknowledged you as family...'' Said Raman smiling

'I don't think that was meant in a good light'' Said Ishita who was still surprised

'Oh come on... You are over thinking this...'' Said Raman as he took her hand and they walked out together to the parking lot

'Ishu... Shlok says call him now. It is very urgent that you do...'' Said Mihir who was waiting for them outside

'Oh... my battery just went dead...'' Said Ishita looking at her phone

'Here use mine...'' Said Mihir

'Mihir you know...'' She said but he interrupted

'Just look at it once before you say no... It is a clear line and you know that...'' Said Mihir handing Ishita a second phone

'Oh... Okay...'' Said Ishita understanding as she stepped aside

'What is that...'' Asked Raman

'She is all secure about her calls and stuff... I just gave her a company phone...'' Lied Mihir as he got into the car

'Hey Abhi... What up...'' Said Ishita

'We have Intel... We know when Nazem is getting here... Next week Wednesday... We got him Ishita... I just need you to get me those log books from Mr. Bhalla...'' Said Abhimanyu

'Are you sure it is him...'' Asked Ishita

'Yeah... we intercepted chatter... We are fairly certain it will be him...'' Said Abhimanyu

'Good... This is very good...'' Said Ishita

'Now that log book... Come on you need to work your magic...'' Said Abhimanyu

'I have been trying to do that for the last 4 months and nothing... I can't find it'' Said Ishita

'Ask Raman to help...'' Said Abhimanyu

'No way... There is no way Raman is going to ask his father to implicate himself like that. I have to find another way...'' Said Ishita

'What are you going to do? Ishu we do not have time...'' Said Abhimanyu

'Yeah... I know... Let me work on it...'' Said Ishita as she turned looking at Raman in the car who was hailing her to join them

It took about 45 Minutes to get home and Simmi who wasn't with them was supposed to be joining them at the Bhalla Mansion to make sure that she could help her mother out for some time.

As they drove into the mansion, they could see Simmi standing outside the house but the door was wide open. Raman got down from the car thinking Simmi was waiting for them but he was in for a surprise.

'Hey Sis... ' He said as Mihir and Santosh got out the car helping Mr. Bhalla as Ishita moved not far behind

'Hey...'' Said Simmi before she turned to her dad saying

'Hey Papa... How are you feeling''

'Much better thank you...'' He said

'Why aren't you inside...'' Said Santosh

'Raman's fiancee is in their creating problems... I didn't want to deal...'' Said Simmi

'What do you mean...'' Said Raman

'She has parked Ishita's stuff... Everything is in the living room... She is looking for something from your room. She keeps on saying Ishita is leaving this house tonight. I don't know, I didn't ask because I really didn't want to know. I have had enough drama for one weekend ''said Simmi

'Oh I will gladly leave...'' Said Ishita

'No one is going anywhere... What is she doing...'' Said Raman

Raman walked into his house and he could see Shagun had managed to park Ishita's bags and they were indeed were in the living room. She was walking into the living room with the last of Ishita's bags and she saw Raman

'What are you doing...'' Asked Raman with his parents and Siblings not far behind as well as Ishita

'Listen I know you are found of her because of your memory loss and the fact that she is the one you are more familiar to but she has got to go...'' Said Shagun

'You are speaking gibberish... What are you trying to say I am not understanding you...'' Said Raman

Ishita really wanted to know what Shagun's play was going to be and couldn't wait to see this unfold. She sat down cross legged and looked to Shagun and Raman just to see how this was going to unfold.

'Shagun... Please can we just do this some other time...'' Said Mr. Bhalla as he sat down

'No Papa, your health means more to me than anything else and her being here is not helping...'' Said Shagun

'Wow...'' Said Mihir shaking his head at Shagun's stunts

'My health... Really ...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Yes, ever since she walked into this house your health has been deteriorating and even Raman is not getting any better... She has to leave... This family is all I have, Raman is my life and I would do anything for him. She is just taking advantage of the situation and wants to destroy our family...'' Said Shagun

'Really Shagun... Come on...'' Said Simmi

'Look Simmi I know she is your friend but she is not a good person. I should have been at the hospital with Papa and Ammi but she wouldn't allow me through the hospital doors. She walks around here like she owns the place and yet...'' Said Shagun as tears filled her eyes. She turned to Ishita and added

'You lost the right to be here. You lost the right to be with this family. You lost the right to be called his wife...'' She added

'My God Shagun you are so melodramatic I swear... It is kind of funny to watch...'' Said Ishita before she began laughing

'That is it... You are not staying here... He is my fiance and not yours anymore. I have a say that should count just like everyone else's and you are leaving this house today...'' Said Shagun as she came forward and grabbed Ishita's hand pulling her to the door

'Shagun... Shagun let her go...'' Said Raman as he pulled Shagun back throwing her to the chair

'No More...'' He yelled causing Shagun to sit back down crying

'Wow... You are stronger than I last remembered...'' Said Ishita getting up as she dusted herself

'Ishu enough...'' Said Raman causing Ishita to put her hands up

'Fine... but keep her away from me or else... It might become a smacking session for her...'' Said Ishita sitting down again

'Raman... Raman, honey, listen to me...'' Said Shagun as she came forward taking Raman's hand in hers

'She is not a good person... You do not know what she tried to do to papa...'' Said Shagun

'And I am guessing you are going to tell me...'' Said Raman

Shagun looked at Raman as tears welled up in her eyes as if finding words to say. She held his face in her hands as she said

'She is trying to kill him... She is trying to kill your father...''

Mihir looked at Shagun not believing what he was hearing. Shagun must have heard that her doctor was in custody that is why she was trying to turn the tables. It was so unreal how genuinely sad and concerned she seemed and yet she was comfortably lying through her teeth.

Simmi and Santosh were just too shocked and angry at the same time. There was no end to what Shagun could do. She was standing there and comfortably lying without even flinching and the ease with which she lied was starting to get scary. There was no telling what she could do.

Ishita on the other hand was amused more than anything because the look on Mr. Bhalla's face was in a way priceless but she also felt bad for them. Ever since Shagun and she walked into their lives there was nothing good that came out of it. They disrupted their lives from the day go and it wasn't fair. As much as she loved blaming Mr. Bhalla for her woes and he indeed was responsible for some of them, she deserved it for what she did to his family. It wasn't fair

'Shagun... Are you smoking crack now or something ... You are starting to talk crazy... Or is it guilt...'' Said Mihir

'I swear... She was conniving with his doctor. She told me of how Ishita has been slowly poisoning her... Am telling you, I tried to call her and find out where she was such that I take her to the police but she has disappeared. I think Ishita has killed him just like she killed Parmeet...'' Said Shagun

'Wow... You are something else aren't you...'' Said Santosh who at that point was really pissed off more than anyone

'Ammi...'' Said Shagun as she cried walking to where Santosh was and said

'Look I know how much you care about Papa and I am only trying to do what is right. She tried...'' Shagun continued but Santosh wasn't having it

'Shut up...'' She said

'Mom I swear on Raman...'' Said Shagun but at Santosh wouldn't

'SMACK...'' Off went the slap on Shagun's face causing her to fall backwards almost hitting her head on the edge of the seat but Raman grabbed her

'GET OUT OF MY HOUSE...'' Yelled Santosh looking at Shagun with bloodshot red eyes filled with rage and disgust

'But...'' Shagun said

'I SAID GET THE HELL OUT...'' Screamed Santosh causing Shagun to look at her straight in the eyes and say

'I am not going anywhere...''
