Actor Gaurav Wadhwa, who plays Vivaan in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera, produced under Studio LSD, is enjoying every twist and turn coming in the show. From unexpected emotional moments to major changes in his character’s journey, Gaurav believes Vivaan has evolved significantly since the show began.

Talking about the recent developments and his character’s journey, Gaurav said, "The recent twists have been amazing, truly unexpected, and deeply emotional. My character, Vivaan, has actually flipped quite a bit since he first met and interacted with Aparajita. Right now, he carries a certain anger towards her because she couldn't become his bhabhi as she had rejected Rakshit's proposal, and that weighs on him. But what excites me most is that this emotional complexity makes the journey so layered and real."

Gaurav Wadhwa Talks About The Show’s Mix Of Love, Comedy And Emotions

According to Gaurav, one of the reasons Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera is special is that the show is not limited to just one emotion. He believes the story has something for every kind of viewer, whether it is romance, comedy, humour, or emotional drama.

He said, "The show is truly a mixture of emotions, and it has something for every kind of viewer. Whether you enjoy a heartfelt love story, light-hearted comedy, humor, or emotional drama, it's all woven together beautifully. That variety is what keeps audiences coming back. It's not just one-dimensional storytelling; it speaks to everyone."

Playing a character through emotionally heavy tracks and storylines is challenging, but Gaurav feels staying honest towards the character helps him deliver better. He focuses on understanding Vivaan's emotions and portraying them naturally on screen.

He said, "I focus on staying true to the character and the moment. When a track is emotionally heavy, I try to live in it honestly rather than overthink the external pressure. The emotion has to feel real on screen, and that's what ultimately connects with the audience and reflects in the numbers too."

Aparajita And Rakshit’s Love Story Continues To Win Hearts

At the centre of the show is the relationship between Aparajita and Rakshit, a pairing that has connected with the audience. Gaurav believes their bond is special and their journey together has created a strong impact.

Talking about their relationship, he said, "Their relationship is very special. They are truly an iconic pair of the television industry, and seeing them finally come together again in this beautiful love story has been magical for both us and the audience. There's a familiarity and a warmth to them that viewers deeply cherish."

When it comes to social media reactions, Gaurav shared that he does follow audience feedback but does not let it affect his performance. He reads reviews, comments, and messages but believes an actor should stay focused on the character.

He said, "I do follow social media, and I read the reviews, the DMs, and the comments. But I've learned not to change my performance based on that, because for every person who showers love, there's someone who doesn't connect with it.”

“Earlier, especially when I played villain-type roles and people didn't appreciate it, I used to get affected. But slowly I realized it's my job, and if people are hating my character, it means I'm doing it right," he added.

Talking about television and OTT, Gaurav feels both platforms have their own audience and importance. He believes television continues to have a strong connection with viewers who have followed it for years.

He said, "Television has its own dedicated audience, one that has been loyal for years. The youth may be shifting towards OTT, but our core viewers still watch television, and that's not going anywhere. OTT and TV serve different audiences and different needs; one simply cannot replace the other entirely."

Gaurav also shared that keeping a character consistent through changing storylines is challenging but exciting. He explained that understanding the core emotions and motivations of Vivaan helps him maintain continuity.

He said, "It's definitely a challenge, but it's also what keeps the work exciting. You have to stay rooted in who your character fundamentally is, even as the circumstances around them shift.”

“With Vivaan, I always go back to his core emotions and motivations, and that's the anchor that keeps the continuity intact even through all the twists. All I'll say is the love story has finally begun, and the upcoming episodes are going to be truly amazing. There's a beautiful mix of emotions ahead. Viewers are in for a treat, and I think it's going to be very, very special,” Gaurav ended.
