Kanika Maheshwari is set to leave audiences stunned with an intense and emotionally charged twist in Seher Hone Ko Hai. In a shocking turn of events, her character Husan Aara takes the drastic step of killing her own father, Usman Niyazi. While the sequence promises to become one of the most talked-about moments in the show, Kanika reveals that bringing such a dark and heartbreaking scene to life was far from easy.
Speaking about the challenging sequence, Kanika said, "It was difficult to kill my own father, even though it was for a scene. The moment I read the script, I was taken aback. As an actor, you understand that you are portraying a character, but certain emotions stay with you. The father-daughter relationship is so sacred and emotional that performing a scene where a daughter ends her father's life was extremely disturbing and heartbreaking for me."
She further added, "I have never ever played such a vile character in my entire career. Husna Aara is someone who is willing to go to any extent to fulfill her motives. Understanding her thought process was challenging because her actions are so extreme. To portray her convincingly, I had to completely immerse myself in her world, and that was emotionally exhausting. There were moments when I had to remind myself that I was acting because the scene carried so much emotional weight."

Recalling the atmosphere on set, Kanika shared, "Everyone knew how important this sequence was to the story. The emotions were intense, and there was a certain heaviness while filming it. The scenes with Usman Niyazi have always carried emotional depth, so portraying such a shocking betrayal wasn't easy. Between takes, I often found myself sitting quietly and processing the emotions because it wasn't just another dramatic moment it was a defining point in Husan Aara's journey."
Talking about audience reactions, she said, "I am sure viewers are going to be shocked when they watch this track. They may even hate Husan Aara for what she does, and honestly, that would mean I have succeeded as an actor. The beauty of storytelling lies in making people feel something, whether it is anger, sadness, or disbelief. This particular track will definitely evoke strong emotions because it explores the darkest side of the character."
