Actor Kunwar Amar has opened up about the controversy involving actress Akanksha Chamola and the reactions that followed after their viral video created discussions online. In a conversation with Film Window, the actor spoke about the situation, revealed whether he ever contacted Akanksha’s husband Gaurav Khanna to clear things out and also shared how his equation with Akanksha changed after the controversy.

The controversy started after a video featuring Kunwar Amar, Akanksha Chamola and Ali Hasan from their project Dil Dhokha Aur Desire went viral. The video received mixed reactions on social media, with many users discussing the equation between the actors and questioning the nature of their interaction. Later, Akanksha also addressed the comments and reactions surrounding the viral clip.

Speaking about whether he ever felt that Gaurav Khanna might call him and discuss the matter, Kunwar said that he never felt there was any need for someone else to get involved. The actor explained that everyone involved was mature enough to handle the situation themselves.

“No, mujhe nahi laga. Nahi nahi, mujhe nahi laga ki kisi ko bhi isme beech mein aane ki zarurat thi,” Kunwar said.

He further added that even after comments were made about him, he never thought of reaching out to Gaurav or explaining his side. He said that they were all adults and could deal with the matter on their own.

“We are adults. Hum bachche thodi hai na ki humare maa baap ko aakar ke beech mein baat karni padegi. We are adults, right? We can sort this out. Humare bas ke bahar chala jaaye toh kisi ko andar aane ki zarurat pade, wo alag baat hai,” he said.

Kunwar also shared that he felt it was better that nobody interfered because it could have made the situation bigger. He said, “But I don’t think, mujhe lagta hai it’s great that nobody else is interfering ya kisi aur ne kuch nahi kaha kyunki phir shayad cheezein two plus two ho jaati. But I never felt like ki he aur anybody else has to call me and clear this out.”

The actor also opened up about working with Akanksha after the controversy and admitted that their comfort level was not the same anymore. However, he clarified that both of them maintained complete professionalism while working together.

“No, of course not. Of course not. Aisa comfortable nahi tha aur na wo uss tareeke ka bond tha aur uske liye of course reasons obvious the. But haan, main ye zaroor kahunga ki hum dono ne bahut professional behaviour maintain kiya,” Kunwar said.

When asked if Akanksha ever tried to clarify things or apologise, Kunwar said he did not think much about it. He added that people usually know when their actions have affected someone.

Talking about their current equation, Kunwar revealed that they did meet and speak after the controversy, but their bond was no longer the same. “Haan haan, of course hum mile, humne baat kari, but bahut hi hi hello. That’s it. And then we were working. We were not how we used to be and it’s okay. I think kuch cheezein kuch samay ke liye hi hoti hai,” he concluded.
