Ishita walked out and she could see Mihir there with Shagun and Santosh who was coming from upstairs with Mr. Bhalla. He looked at her a bit surprised that she was here but given Raman was just behind her he refrained from saying anything to her.

When he turned to look at the table he was a bit surprised that Mihir was there. He hadn't been in that house for anything , be it help, or just visiting or even a glass of water. In fact the first time they saw him was when Raman gained consciousness and they needed Ishita to help. He felt this warm feeling in his heart with a hope and a longing that someday his family will be back like they were before. He looked down hiding the smile on his face but it didn't go unnoticed by Ishita and Raman.

' Hey...'' Said Mihir

'Hey Mihir...'' He said trying to be cold but even Santosh could see right through that causing her to shake her head

'Okay then... She said taking her seat and so did everyone else

'Let's dig in...'' Santosh added

Everyone started serving themselves but there was an awkward silence that even Raman couldn't handle. Shagun kept on looking at Raman as he stole glances at Ishita who just kept on smiling every time she caught him and it killed her. Santosh knew this dinner was going to fall apart very rapidly and only hoped Ishita would have the sense to know that arguing would not solve a thing.

'Uhh Raman when is your next appointment...'' Said Santosh

'It is next week and I already made an appointment with the hospital. Everything is set...'' Answered Shagun

'Ohh thank you for that... It had somehow skipped my mind...'' Said Raman smiling at her and Shagun smiled back at him before she turned to look at Ishita but she just looked down in her plate

'Mihir tell me what you have been up to. We haven't talked in what seems like forever...'' Said Santosh in a bid to change the topic

'There is really nothing to tell. I have been working abroad for some time and now I am on a sabbatical for a year and after that I will have to get back...'' Said Mihir

'Ohh, that was nice of them to grant you that sabbatical. You are in Dubai now...'' Santosh said

'New York... I work in New York Maa...'' He said smiling

'Whoa... wait... I thought you worked here. Wait how come you never told me this...'' Said Raman

'Well you never asked...'' He said

'What do you do exactly anyway...'' Said Raman

'I am a graphics designer. Someone saw my love for art and kind of taught me to channel that in graphic design. I did it one time and I feel in love with it...'' Said Mihir

'Oh wow... Sound like you love it so much...'' Said Santosh

'I do very much... I am actually head of department there... Turns out my boss took a leap of faith and trusted me with it. I had no experience what so ever and no knowledge in graphics designing at all. Her faith in me saved me a lot so I am internally grateful...'' He said looking at Ishita and she her eyes still in her plate just smiled before briefly looking at him and then back at her plate

'Yeah... I bet...'' Said Raman

'Say what is the name of your company?'' Said Shagun knowing what the answer will be and how it would make Mr. Bhalla

'Can we not talk about work...'' Said Ishita trying to change the topic

'Come on let him tell us. Unless he is embarrassed or hiding something'' Said Shagun provokingly

'Shagun behave your-self...'' Said Raman a bit irritated

'Oh no it is fine. I don't mind...'' He said looking at Ishita who kept on nodding her head to stop him but he just smiled a little then answered

'I work for RUADISH... Proudly might I add...''

'Oh wait that is the same company Ishita works for isn't it...'' Said Raman but he was the only excited one on the table

Mr. Bhalla couldn't hide his disgust and Shagun couldn't hide her satisfaction. Mr. Bhalla rolled his hand in a fist as he fought back whatever he wanted to say but Mihir could see right through it and he was going to make sure his father knew it

'You see... I wasn't so good at anything and I messed up a lot. Dad and you, Raman, became very frustrated. Dad here threw me out and I had no place to go. I was broke and practically penniless. Then I met the owner of RUADISH and she somehow looked past all that and took me under her wing. If it wasn't for her I could have died. I was drunk most of the time and quite honestly high all the time. She took me in, well technically took me to rehab first. No one is damn to hire a substance abuser...'' He said looking straight at his father

'Whoa whoa... Wait... What do you mean rehab...'' Said Raman much to his surprise and his parents

'I am a recovering drug addict and a recovering Alcoholic soo rehab was needed henah...'' Said Mihir casually but he knew and everyone at that table new that was not a small deal

'What do you mean drug addict...'' Mr. Bhalla asked genuinely surprised and concerned

'Ohh now you want to know...'' Said Mihir looking at Mr. Bhalla and shaking his head

'Anyway... She took me under her wing and well 5 years later here we are...'' Said Mihir

' I don't believe that...''Said Shagun

'Of course you don't. Why would you? You don't benefit in anyway...'' Said Mihir letting out a small laugh

'What does that mean?'' Said Raman

'Nothing...'' Said Mihir

'Don't do that... Just say it...'' Said Raman

'You see my dear brother; this fianc of yours is the worst kind of human being to will ever know. But then again, my opinion might be biased given I like you wife more...'' Said Mihir

'Mihir... Come on...'' Said Ishita diffusing the situation

'Sorry...'' Said Mihir holding his hands up as he looked at his father expecting some sort of response but nothing

Mihir and his father's relationship had gotten really bad and they couldn't stand each other yet they loved each other immensely although none of them knew it. Santosh began getting teary and Mihir who was pretty much pissed at this stage didn't care what Raman knew

'See when dad paid me to spy...'' He said and Ishita called him

'Mihir... Seriously sieve a little...'' She said and he sighed a bit before he continued

'When dad paid me to go spy on this rival he had, I sort of went to the rival and asked for double the amount in exchange for whatever dad was planning and I would only tell Dad what the rival wanted him to know...'' He finally managed to say

'Ohhh that is wrong... That is so wrong...'' Said Raman shaking his head thinking they were talking about business

'Yeah why did you do that'' Said Ishita knowing what the answer was but she wanted Mr. Bhalla to hear it because he had a misconception that his son just did it out of spite

'I had a drug habit I had to support with money that I didn't have so I had to get it somewhere...'' He said looking at his dad as he tears filled a little before he fought the back and looked away

'How long...'' Asked Mr. Bhalla

'How long what?'' Mihir asked

'The drugs and alcohol... how long...'' He asked again

'Pretty much since I finished college...'' Said Mihir

'Oh wow... I am so sorry bro...'' Said a clueless Raman and Mihir looked at him and let out a soft laugh saying

'It is okay...''

'What... What is funny...'' Raman asked with a smile on his face

'You... Here... Apologizing... To me ... It is something I thought would never happen.'' He said

'Well I am trying to be a better brother than I was...'' Said Raman smiling and Mihir could agree to that

'I know and I appreciate it...'' he said as he continued eating

Mr. Bhalla looked at his son and for the first time he began feeling like he had failed as a father. How couldn't he have known this? It was his job to take care of his children and yet he failed all of them in so many ways than he could even imagine.

'Are you okay now...'' Mr. Bhalla asked

'I am an addict papa not someone with Malaria. It is not something that you just cure but I promise you, I am better now than I was then. So in a way yeah... One day at a time right'' Said Mihir

'Right...'' Said Mr. Bhalla before he looked away

'Ishu please say thank you to your boss. She is an amazing person with a good heart and I am grateful what she did for him...'' Said Raman and Ishita smiled saying

'Consider the message delivered...'' much to Shagun's disgust

'That reminds me Raman you and I have this gala we have to go to...'' Said Shagun

'What gala...'' Said Raman

'Yeah what gala...'' Said Mihir

'We have been going since...'' Said Shagun before she stopped looking at Ishita then added

'Well for the last 4 years...''

'Me at a gala... Really ...'' Said Raman who knew such things he never really liked

'Well yeah... And since you are now back, after your accident, they want you to go as the guest of honor.'' Said Shagun

'Oh yeah... It is for this benefit event where we raise money for major surgeries for underprivileged children'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Oh that is nice... So are we going...'' Said Raman looking at all of them

'Well they sent an invitation for only two people...'' Said Shagun

'Meaning what...'' Said Mihir who knew she was lying

'Meaning every OUTSIDER has to buy themselves a ticket'' She answered causing Ishita to smile

'Okay... Still I am sure we can afford it. So are you coming...'' He asked again looking at Ishita but her eyes were on her plate that she couldn't see him

'Ishu... I am asking you...'' He insisted and Shagun who knew she had to take charge interrupted before Ishita could answer

'I thought this would be a chance for us to spend some time alone...'' Shagun said

'Wow...'' Said an amused Mihir

'Oh...'' Said Raman a bit disappointed and yet he couldn't say no

'It is fine. I am busy anyway so I sort of can't go'' Said Ishita

'You're sure...'' He insisted

'Yes... I am'' Said Ishita

'Okay... Where is this gala anyway.'' He asked

'At the Emerald Grand Imperial...'' Said Shagun before she turned to look at Ishita

Raman on the other had was having a reaction of his very own and while others were so concentrated on what his answer would be, he was having flashes again

'It is at the Emerald Grand Imperial... That is where they booked it'' Said Shagun

Raman makes his way into the grand imperial lounge areas and as he waits, he sees Ishita walking out with a man...

'Is that him... Is it him Kushan come on I need to know'' Said Raman

'Yeah... That is him'' Says Kushan

'What is his name'' He asked as the man turned only for him to see his face and the flashed ended and the migraines began

Ishita could see he was twitching as he kept on turning his head and she knew he was having an episode again. She got out of her seat and walked over to his and held his face as she called him

'Raman... Raman can you hear me...'' She said but he didn't respond

'I never slept with him Raman you know that...'' Cried Ishita

'How can I be so sure? I saw you leaving that hotel with him'' He screamed

'It is not what you think. I was helping out someone that is all. Raman you have to believe me I swear...'' She cried

Raman looked into her eyes again and the flashed ended as the migraines got worse again causing him to hold on to Ishita's hands whom he could hear calling him

'Raman... Raman ...'' Called Ishita

'Oh God is he...'' Said Shagun

'Go get his medication now...'' Santosh who was panicking said to Shagun and Shagun got up and left

'No... It is fine...'' Said Ishita as with the help of Mihir she slowly got him from the chair and sat him down on the ground her hand still holding his head. She ran her hands through his hair as she tried to calm him down and he held her hands tighter every time the migraines hit.

'It is okay... I got you...'' She whispered

'Here are the medicines...'' Said Shagun as she got back

'No... It is fine... He is calming down...'' Said Ishita

'What the hell do you mean it is okay'' Said Shagun who was also freaking out

'It is fine... Just look...'' Said Mihir as he turned Shagun and she could see he had calmed down.

Ishita was holding his head and his hands were on Ishita's almost as if he was finding strength in them. He slowly calmed down and Ishita sat down resting his head on her laps giving him time to completely be okay.

He opened his eyes and looked up and the first eyes he saw were hers. Whatever he remembered, one thing was clear, at least from what he had gathered, that day, whatever the reason was, she was telling the truth. He could see it in her eyes and yet he had a feeling, he didn't believe her that day

'Are you okay...'' She asked as she become teary and he just got up slightly leaned in, put his hand around her and hugged her

It was a reaction so bizarre that none of them even knew how to explain it. Mr. Bhalla looked at Raman and how he somehow managed to come back this time without seizures and he had to admit; maybe it was a good thing that Ishita was here. She had a way to calming him down when most of them couldn't

'Raman...'' Ishita called again

'Yeah... I am fine...'' he said as he pulled out

'Are you sure...'' She asked again

'Yes... I am okay...'' He said with a faint smile

Shagun fell down on her knees and pulled him towards her putting her hands around him

'I am so glad you are okay...'' Said Shagun and he put his hand around her as he said

'It is fine really...''

'Are you sure... Can I get you anything... Maybe water...'' insisted Shagun

Ishita got up from where she was sitting and stood by the side as Shagun took over. She helped Raman up with the help of Mihir again and helped him sit down. Shagun then pulled her seat next to where Raman was sitting and poured him a glass of water.

'Oh God... I was so worried'' Said Shagun as tears filled her eyes

'I am okay I promise...'' Said Raman looking at Shagun and she was surprisingly genuinely worried and he could see it

'No... You're going to hospital tomorrow. We have to make sure if it happened again we are better prepared.'' Said Shagun

'Shagun come on...'' Said Raman

'No... This is what I want'' She said

'Okay... Fine I will go'' He agreed and she leaned in, placed a soft kiss on his forehead and said

'Good...''

Ishita who was watching all this from a far got a realization that memory loss or not, Raman and Shagun were in some sort of relationship. They were engaged for god's sake and even if Raman couldn't recognize that now, it is a fact that would never change. It broke her heart to see that, it made her boil with jealous and yet there was nothing she could do.

As tears filled her eyes, she slowly moved back and turned to walk away as it was getting hard for her to watch. She passed by Raman and Shagun, she felt someone hold her back and when she turned she could see Raman's hand. She looked up at him and he was hugging Shagun with her back to Ishita so she couldn't see him. He looked at her mouthing

'I am sorry...'' Something only Mihir and Ishita saw

She just looked at him and faintly smiled as if to reassure him that it was okay before she let go of his hold and walked to her room.

She had never really seen him when he had once of those episodes. Each time he had a seizure she was either away or she got there when he had calmed down. This was the first time that she had seen in have an attack and it sacred her to death.

She didn't want to show them that she cared so much and she didn't want to show him either because then it made things difficult when she left so she pretended to be strong. In her room no one was there and she felt like the walls were closing in. He was really not okay and that brain injury must have been really bad. When he held her hands, she could feel his hold getting tighter and tighter and she could sense that he was in a lot of pain and that was the most difficult thing to take

'I miss you too sweetie... Are you having fun'' She asked

'Oh My God yes, we went to the beach yesterday with grandma and it was soo much fun. I wish you were here to see it with us...'' Said Ruhi

Ishita sat back on the bed as she listened to her daughter talk and it was like a soothing therapeutic conversation that was much needed.

Shagun had managed to take Raman to his room and he was given medication to calm him down and also such that he could rest a bit. Raman wanted to talk to Ishita but he gathered that maybe now wasn't such a good time for that and so he opted against it and figured he should shelve the conversation for later.

Mr. Bhalla and Mihir were the ones remaining in the living room as well as Santosh who knew these two probably had a conversation that was long overdue and yet none of them was going to take a step forward. She was going to provoke it no matter what.

'I wonder why she helped you...'' Said Santosh

'What...'' Said Mihir

'Ishita... Why did she help you? Is it because you spied on your dad for her'' Said Santosh

'REALLY MA... SERIOUSLY ...'' Said Mihir surprised

'She was just asking a question that even I quite frankly want to know...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Fine... She made a promise to Raman that no matter what his family and his needs would always come first...'' Said Mihir

'What the hell does that even mean'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'It means when some people make promised they see them through. You threw Simmi out for eloping, she took Simmi in and took care of her, you threw me out for stealing, she took me in and took care of me, Shagun fired Jai and Neelu, and she took them in and catered for them all because Raman loved them like family. She loves him, always has, always will. Her dislike for you is so little that it will never outweigh her love for him. I know you brought her back because you wanted her help and also show Raman how horrible a human being she is but it might back fire on you'' Said Mihir

'Wait... She took my daughter to Mumbai...'' Said Santosh

'No... Her husband works there and Simmi begged her to help them settle there because that is where her husband's family is. They are really good to her and they love her regardless of what you all might think. And just for the record, Abhimanyu doesn't stay with them. He was thrown out for trying to dupe his parents into selling their only house and for what he tried to do with Ishita'' Said Mihir

'I don't understand why you protect that girl. She stole from us. Our company almost collapsed and she also spoilt Raman's deal. Thank God he was smart enough to mitigate a solution in time otherwise his company would have gone. She did so many things wrong. She cheated on him, slept with another man, had children with him and protected him with my money...'' Said Mr. Bhalla angrily

'Okay hold up, first of all she has never slept with anyone, secondly she made up for that deal with Raman. He didn't MITIGATE anything. She planted a virus in the systems of those idiots then reported them to the police making it easy to cab them, that is how Raman got the deal, three she didn't steal that stupid money of yours, I did and she was covering for me because she knew about my drug problem and lastly in the hospital, that story Shagun fed you was a load of bullshit. Abhimanyu being there was a coincidence because he got beat up and ended up in hospital. Something I know you know something about...'' Said Mihir

'Meaning...'' Said Santosh

'Ask your husband how Abhimanyu actually got to the hospital and why he was paid. You all cut her off, took everything she owned. Closed her accounts and left her with nothing. You really want to know why she was in that hospital, fine I will tell you...'' He said looking at them before he added

'You know what... You are not even worth the stress I swear...'' He said grabbing his phone and car keys

'Meaning what... ' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Meaning talking to you is like talking to a wall. Your way is always the right way and what you know shouldn't be questioned. You forget papa, I have been here before, where I try to justify the truth but he never get it. I hope Raman gets better and I want to see him happy but my God this family, me wishing her to be married into this family one more time will just be me punishing her so undeservingly. So I hope she has the strength to walk away once it is done...'' Said Mihir

'Whatever, she doesn't deserve to be Mrs. Raman Kumar Bhalla. She wasn't a good wife'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'By the way, Ishita did wrong with him yes. She found comfort in someone else. Because your son was never there as he should l have and that backfired on her. But no matter how much you try and believe that it won't change the fact that she never cheated and that is the one thing that even I believe. For a second I thought maybe, just maybe but then I saw those two kids... I knew... There was no need to question that those were Raman's children and that is the basis you used to begin this rollercoaster that ripped this family apart. You worry how he is now but think about what his reaction will be when he realizes that you just signed away his children...'' Said Mihir shaking his head as he made his way out

'I don't believe you... I don't... No way...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'I don't care what you believe dad. All I know is the truth and while you all try this brainwashing thing you did with Shagun the first time, I will make sure it doesn't happen again'' Sad Mihir before finally walked away

'No... I don't believe him... That Ishita can make anything up to save herself'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Oh God... What if he is right? What will happen when Raman finds out about this?'' Said Santosh before she remembered what Ishita said about Shagun

'So it true, she did come back..., why didn't she stay...Why did she leave'' Santosh added

'What are you talking about...'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'Ishita she came... I can't believe it. Shagun must have done something I know it... She said she came back but Shagun...'' Said Santosh

'Look here Santosh, Ishita is now with someone else and Raman is engaged to be married. Respect those boundaries and I suggest you tell that Ishita as well...This load of nonsense I won't tolerate'' Said Mr. Bhalla before walking away

Mr. Bhalla remembered Mihir talking to him as he walked away and he was in a bit of shock given how Mihir spoke to him. He had never spoken to his father that way and much less when defending that girl who was so undeserving. What was the big deal anyway?

'What the hell is going on? I feel like even I have amnesia as I have no idea what the hell happened 7 years ago. Everything I hear seems to be so new'' Said Santosh as she followed her husband

'Please don't believe him. He worships Ishita for whatever reason and he would say anything to protect her. Always has... Ishita was in that hospital for Abhimanyu and that is that'' Said Mr. Bhalla

'I am not so sure anymore...'' Said Santosh but Mr. Bhalla was in no mood to listen to all that and so just walked away

Meanwhile back in Ishita's room, she had finished talking to her children and she was catching up on a few things work related when Shagun knocked on her door

'May I come in...'' Shagun said causing Ishita to look up at her

'I just wanted to talk to you...'' Said Shagun grabbing Ishita's attention

Yeah what is it...'' Said Ishita

'I just wanted to thank you for what you did in there for him. I think I wouldn't have been able to be as calm as you were if I was in your place...'' She said

'You are in my place so if you don't know his buttons then I can't help you and I didn't do that for you so there is no need to thank me'' Said Ishita

'Whatever... You do not need to be rude about it. I was just being appreciative and nice. And I thought we need to work together to make sure he gets better'' Said Shagun causing Ishita to scoff

' You aren't here to make nice; you're here to cover your ass hoping I do not tell him what you did. Him and the Bhallas who are outside'' Said Ishita

'You think you know me so well...'' Said Shagun

'Actually I do and I also know you well enough when you want something. So what is it this time'' Ishita said

'I don't need anything, I just wanted to... You know what... It doesn't even matter'' Said an irritated Shagun

'Then why are you here'' Said Ishita

'Raman wants to talk to you. Are you sure you're alright'' Said Santosh after she saw a teary eyed Shagun

'I am fine... Tell him I will be there in a minute'' Ishita answered as she turned shut her laptop down given there was information there she didn't want them to see and was also trying to hide her tears

Santosh looked at her and decided against pushing the issue because it was territory she didn't know she wanted to explore. She walked out leaving them alone

'Ish...'' Shagun tried calling her but she wasn't having it

'Shagun please... Just leave I have to play wife right now'' Said Ishita as she turned to receive the a call as her phone was buzzing

'Hello...'' She said turning her back to Shagun who was walking out

'Hey Ishu... Mihir can we talk ...'' Said Mihir

'Yeah what's up'' Said Ishita

'I just received a very weird call from Mihika...'' Said Mihir

'Weird how...'' Asked Ishita

'She was apologizing to me...'' Said Mihir sounding surprised

'Apologizing for what...'' Said Ishita

'For the way she talked to me at your house and she said she was pissed because she didn't know that it was you who actually did all those things to Raman'' He said

'So what is the problem...'' Said an irritated Ishita

'Why are you still taking the fall for this'' He asked and Ishita just become even more frustrated

'Mihir please... I am so not in the mood for this nonsense. Even you maintain the same story so what is the big deal...'' She answered

'What do you mean I maintain... Ishita we need...'' He tried to talk

'Mihir just a few hours ago you were telling your father the exact same thing, I was the reason for his company and his son's company problems, I just figured roll with the story. You have never told you father it was you who f**ked up that deal and not me. I was covering for your ass and yet... Look I am sorry that you may be having some kind of moral dilemma right now but I am in no mood to listen. I am so tired of everyone just... You know what, let's talk tomorrow...'' She said even more frustrated and knowing if she continue she might say something she regretted

'Ishita... Ishu... Crap...'' She heard him say as she hangs up on him

She was just so tired of carrying everyone's burden and it was taking a toll on her. Then there was Shagun and her melodrama that was also all the more frustrating. She wanted to just walk up to Raman and just tell him everything and yet she knew she couldn't, at least not yet. Until she found Abhimanyu, there was no way she was leaving that house and thus she had no way out.

She took a deep breath as she kept on convincing herself that she was doing the right thing and she walked into Raman's room. He was seated on the bed holding a glass of juice and a sandwich on a plate just beside him.

'Since when did you start liking sandwiches...'' She asked as she walked in

'I don't know... Apparently they are my favorite...'' He said looking at the plate

'Since when... Oh wait... Those are Shagun's... Never mind ...'' She said as she stood at the edge of his bed asking

'What can I do for you? You mother said you sent for me'' She said in a cold way

'Why do you do that'' He asked as he put the sandwich away

'Do what...'' She said

'Do that... Act like this is some sort of job for you. Sometimes you so withdrawn I can sense it and as much as you try to hide it, I sense it...'' He said

'I have no idea what you are talking about...'' She said playing dumb

'Ha-ha...'' He chuckled

'Okay fine... can you at least have a seat...'' He said tempting her

'No I am fine but thank you...'' She answered politely

'See that is what I mean...'' He said

'Because I didn't take your seat'' She said baffled

'Because you have never taken a seat in here... In this room ... When you walk in, you stay at the door or you just stand in that very same spot and then walk out. You do not stay for longer than 10 minutes, when you do, you usually leave or convince me to go at the balcony with you...'' He said as he placed the glass of juice down

'That is not true... Is it?'' She said pretending she didn't know she was doing it

'Now you're pretending you don't know you do it...'' He said looking at her and she knew she was caught

'Fine... I am not comfortable being here... In this room that is all...'' She said

'Why not... This was our room... This is where you and I found solace and where you and I had no worries... This was our unfiltered place ' He said

'You really need to stop talking like that.'' She said

'Why... Because it is the truth'' He said

'No because you are engaged remember...I don't think your fianc really appreciates it'' She said this time failing to hide her disgust

He looked at her and he could tell she had been crying but he wasn't going to push that issue as he knew if he did, she was going to find a way to bail again and tonight he wasn't going to let her. He got up from the bed and walked passed her walking to the door and closing it before he grabbed her hand and sat her down on the bed

'I never really apologized for that and I am sorry...'' He said looking straight into her eyes

'Apologized for what...'' She asked as she tried to get up but he sat her back down again

'Getting engaged...I am sorry...'' He said and she took a deep breath fighting her tears as she said

'You do not need to apologize...'' She said

'No... Actually I do... You were my wife, still are actually and for me to do something like that was very disrespectful to you and most especially our relationship. I belittled it...'' He said and this time she couldn't look at him, she just looked away

He took her hand in his and sat down next to her staring at the same wall she was staring at and said

'Why are you here Ishu? I mean why did you come here...''

'Because you needed me...'' She said

'Is that all? So if there was no accident for whatever reason you wouldn't have come back...'' He said

'Honestly... No... Because you wouldn't have let me'' She said

'What happened with us'' He finally said but she kept quiet causing him to turn and look at her

'Come on Ishu... This is me... Raman... I am here... Talk to me... Just tell me what happened?'' He said

'A lot Raman...A whole lot'' She answered her voice breaking

'That you won't tell me... I don't get it. Why don't you tell me'' He asked and she turned to look at him as she said

'I am not allowed to say a lot...''

'By who... wait... My father isn't it...'' He said

'Raman really... It is ...'' She said but he interrupted

'Don't you dare tell me it is fine...'' He said frustrated and she could see it

She felt bad and she knew more than anyone else he didn't deserve this. No matter the circumstances he deserved to know the truth, even if just a little

'Five...'' She said

'Five what...'' He asked

'Questions... You get to ask me five questions and I will answer as truthfully as I can to the best of my knowledge...'' She said

'Promise...'' He said

'Yeah... I promise.'' She said looking at him

'Okay... Why did you leave? I heard Shagun tell you that you left and I wanna know why'' He said

'I didn't leave you threw me out and wouldn't allow me anywhere near you. What she really meant by me leaving, was that, after all that happened, I left the country and went to New York...'' She said looking straight at him

Raman had a question on his mind ever since he began having flashes of her crying and the name Abhimanyu kept on ringing in the back of his mind that he knew if he didn't ask her, he was going to regret it

'Did you cheat on me Ishita...'' He asked holding his breath and she looked at him answering as honestly as she could

'NO...'' She said and in a weird awkward way Raman knew that answer was enough for him because he could see she wasn't lying

'Did you ever comeback? I mean did you ever come back to see me in these 7 years...'' He asked

'Yes... But I was late. The night I came here, you two were getting engaged. It would have been disrespectful of me to stay given you fianc was handing me divorce papers to sign so I did. That is why I don't get why you never signed your part if you wanted this...'' She said her voice breaking

'I sent them to you... Me...'' He said surprised

'Yeah... Shagun and your father brought them at my parents' house. Told me you never wanted to see me so you sent them instead. I wouldn't have believed them but your lawyer was with them'' She said her voice breaking

'I did that... I don't remember... Hell I don't even imagine me doing that...'' He said trying hard to remember something but nothing came up

'Anyway... After that I sort of signed them and left with Shlok and Mihika and we all went back to New York until pretty much 3 years ago'' She said causing him to look at her

'Are you and Shlok together?'' He said

'Meaning what...'' She asked surprised

'I mean are you and Shlok like together...together... In a relationship in love with each other'' He asked again

'WHAT...'' She said slightly amused

'Well you two seem so close and you stay together so I figured...'' He said

'What... Ewww... No... He is like my brother and he is very protective of me as best friends should be but that is it. Although now that I think about it, I get why you would think that'' She said

'Oh okay then... That is unbelievably good to hear'' He said sighing with relief much to her amusement. She raised her eyebrows as if surprised then frowned a little as she chuckled

'You are silly sometimes you know that...'' She said but he just smiled back slightly

'Last question... Should I go'' He asked

'Go where...'' She said

'To the gala thingy... Should I go'' He said

'Raman, you do not need my permission to do that. Plus I give you five questions and you use the last one to ask me that'' She said trying to be all cool and calm although she was failing miserably

'It was important that I know...'' He said as he looked at her for a second or two and a smiled cropped up on his face making her feel like he could see right through her

'What... Why are you smiling...'' She said

'So you really wouldn't care if I went with her or not...'' He said smiling again

'No... ' She said nodding her head still remaining calm or trying to be

'Hmmm... I see...'' He said letting out a soft laugh as he said

'Is that why your holding my hand so tight like that. Ouch it feels like you want to just rip it off...''

'Ohhh so sorry... I didn't know I was doing that...'' She said apologetically

'It is fine... It is a good thing that you still get jealous. Gives me a sense of hope that you still have me in here deep down and I am going to drag it out if you if I have anything to do with it...'' He said pointing at her heart

'Drag what...'' Said Shagun as she walked in

'Ohhh so sorry... I didn't know I was doing that...'' She said apologetically

'It is fine... It is a good thing that you still get jealous. Gives me a sense of hope that you still have me in here deep down and I am going to drag it out if you if I have anything to do with it...'' He said pointing at her heart

'Drag what...'' Said Shagun as she walked in causing Raman to turn and look at her

Ishita tried to take her hand out of Raman's but Raman wouldn't let her.

'Nothing... Ishita here won't tell me what I want to know...'' He said

'Really... What is that?'' Asked Shagun

'Nothing important really...'' He said a smile creeping on his face

'Is everything alright'' He added looking at Shagun

'Yeah... Amma sent me here to check on you but I guess you're okay now...'' Said Shagun seeing how calm he was in relation to a couple of hours ago

'I am absolutely okay thank you...'' He said still holding Ishita's hand but he wasn't even aware as it seemed natural

'You didn't eat the sandwich... Is it bad...'' She asked causing Ishita to slightly cough as she kept back her laughter

'I am not a sandwich guy... But I did love the juice thank you very much'' He said

'Ohh okay... I didn't know that.'' Said Shagun disheartened

'It is fine don't feel bad. Maybe you just didn't know. Honest mistake'' He said

'Actually I should have known this... Anyway can I get you something else...'' She asked

'No... I am okay for now, thank you...'' He said and she took the plate with the sandwich and the empty glass of juice and walked out ignoring the hand holding with much difficulty

'So... Where were we? Oh yes... Should I go with her or not...'' He asked again

'Raman...'' She called but he interrupted

'Raman I promise to answer as honestly as I can to the best of my knowledge'' He said mimicking her as he smiled and said

'Now come on answer my question. Honestly might I add''

'Fine... In a perfect world my answer would have been NO. All day everyday but it is not. You should go... Maybe this will be good for everyone. Who knows you may remember a few things and come back here with a completely different outlook on everything especially me '' She said teary eyed but she fought them back

'Anyway... I should let you rest...'' She added as she tried to avoid where this conversation as going

'Oh no... No one said you are leaving. I still need to talk.'' He said dragging her down

'And... You answered but that is not what I want to know'' He said

'Meaning what... Raman, come on...'' She said

'You come on... Seriously stop telling me things you think someone says in these circumstances or what you think I want to hear. Tell me what you think'' He insisted

Raman knew what buttons to hit when it came to Ishita, he always did and he knew it he was going to get anything out of her today, he was going to have to push very little button he could

'You know a lot of things could happen in that gala. I could get drunk and just go wild or even not come back for whatever reason, would be...'' But before he could finish she said

'Raman there is no way in hell this conversation is funny. What is wrong with you'' She said a bit upset

'Then tell me what I wanna hear...The truth'' He said

'Fine... I think it is so f**ked up that I have to watch her take my place and yet I know I have no say. So if you asking if it pisses me off, damn straight it does but I also know, it is not in my place to decide anything. So yeah... you should go... It is the right thing, it is for the right cause doesn't mean it doesn't make me feel like shit ...'' She said a lone tear running down

Raman smiled at her and leaned back into his back pocket and removed a handkerchief that he gave to her but never said anything more about that topic. It was like he knew what she was saying even though she didn't say it clearly

'Whatever happened between Shagun and Shlok anyway'' He asked

'Nothing... He asked and asked and she kept saying no until he eventually gave up. He met some other girl but it didn't work out.'' Said Ishita

'Oh... Poor guy... Now he is stuck with you and your nocturnal habits. That has to suck'' He said shaking his head. Ishita with a o-shaped mouth expression slightly slapped him and said

'Raman... That is not funny...''

'It is so true. You're the only person I know whose concertation is highest when it is dark. You did all that coding of yours at night and that wasn't even for work. It was for fun. Do not get me started about the snacks in the middle of the night'' He said as he laughed

'That is... Oh God... ' She said laughing as she realized he was telling the truth

'Yeah... It is quieter at night that is why'' She added as he laughed

'Do your still do that thing with the straw? You bite on them as you think. It is the single most childish thing I have ever seen and yet somehow you make it look sexy'' He said clearly flirting with her and she knew it

'I can't believe you remember that'' She said surprised

'I remember a few more things Ishita than I lead on. For example, the night I said I asked you to marry me. We went to this 5 star hotel and I wanted to ask you but got so nervous that I couldn't get the words out. I kept on waiting for the right moment but it never came that we ended up coming home...'' He said

'We had had Sussi and when we got home. We both had a bad case of food poisoning. You couldn't stop throwing up and running to the bathroom...'' Said Ishita as she began to laugh

'That has to be the worst date ever. It was torture and I just wanted to sleep on the toilet'' He said and she threw her head back laughing

'I remember... You looked bad that I felt sorry for you...'' She said between her laughs but he just watched her laugh and with a smile on his face he continued

'You stayed with me through the night and when I woke up in the morning, you were sitting on a chair by my side as you had refused to go back home...''

'Yeah much to your dad's annoyance'' She said

'I still couldn't believe you vehemently refused to listen to my dad and stayed back. No one had ever done that in this house, said no to him. Except my mother no one...'' He said

'I figured... Besides I was worried about you and I wanted to make sure you were okay at least before I went back home. But you surprised me that morning'' Said Ishita

'Yeah I wasn't planning on proposing that morning but when Simmi told me about how you and dad went at it that night, I knew if I waited someone might swoop you away from me so I just asked me to marry you ...'' He said looking at her and she completed

'Actually if I am to quote I believe you exact words were...'' She said clearing her throat as she mimicked him saying

'Mama... Papa... Approval or not... She is the girl I am marrying'' Said Ishita causing Raman to throw his head back laughing

'I so don't talk like that...'' He said but she just laughed and added

'What... Raman beta... Marriage is not a simple issue'' She said again mimicking Santosh and Raman burst into laughter again because she was looking and sounding so funny doing it

'Mama... I love her... What else is there to know...'' She said again mimicking Raman causing him to laugh some more as she coughed given how it was taking toll of her throat

Santosh who was in her room could hear Raman laughing and she turned to her husband and said

'Do you hear that''

'Hear what...'' Mr. Bhalla asked

'Shhsss listen...'' She said and Raman laughed again

'It is Raman...'' She said but Mr. Bhalla completed

'Laughing... I can hear him...'' He said as he turned and held his wife

Both of them knew that it had been a long time since they had heard laughter in that house let alone from their son and whatever it was, whoever it was, this was something they both appreciated.

'Thank you...'' He whispered and Santosh knew that was not meant for her but for the woman in their son's room, his wife.

Back in Raman's room he was still laughing hard and Ishita continued her monkeyshines

'Then Simmi laughed and teased you saying, Bhai... Shouldn't the girl say yes first...'' She said mimicking Simmi

'And then I said...'' She added but he interrupted

'He knew it was a yes since the day we met...'' He said looking at her and she looked back at him as she smiled

Raman looked at her and how relaxed she seemed and it was like the trouble of whatever was going on didn't matter in that moment. All that mattered was that she was here, in their room looking at him with those beautiful kissable lips that were begging him to kiss them.

He slowly took his hand and held her face and Ishita knew this was the part she walked out but when she looked into his eyes, then his lips she couldn't move and began hoping he just kissed her.

Ishita's lips trembled causing sensuous feelings down his spine and making his blood boil. How he missed this feeling and by the looks of it, so did her. He extended closer to her taking a chance because he knew she may move away but she didn't instead stayed in the same place looking at him.

In the back of her mind she really should have left and she knew it but my God her heart wouldn't barge and her much heightened hormones didn't help either. He came closer and the feel of his breath could be felt on her skin, it become harder and harder to pull away. He got closer and so did she the tip of their noses touching and she closed her eyes, fighting the tears that were filling up.

Raman could see she had begun over thinking it and she was about to pull away so he tilted his head a little and placed his lips on hers sucking on her lower lips but she was still hesitant and didn't do anything to reciprocate

He took the hand that was holding her face and run it down to the nape of her neck and he pulled her in. Ishita lost all sense of what was right in that moment and just ended up putting her arms around him and she kissed him, reciprocating as she sucked on his upper lip. She leaned in causing him to wrap his hand around her waist as she pulled him closer to her feeling the warmth of his touch and the warm feeling she got in his arms.

They got so lost in each other that they forgot their surrounding and when Raman's phone buzzed interrupting them, she realized what she had done and pulled back putting her hand on her lips as she said

'Crap... I gotta go...'' And with tears in her eyes she ran out

'Ishita... Ishu wait ...'' He called but she didn't turn back and he cursed his luck

'Dammit...'' He said

Raman waited by the car for Ishita but she wasn't coming out of the house. He had wanted to talk to her that morning about what happened the night before but she left very early and when she got back, she went straight to her room and didn't come back out.

He tried to go and talk to her but Shagun and his mother kept on reminding him how he was going to be late and how everyone was waiting for him. He never got a chance to even see her or how she was doing and yet he also understood that maybe she needed her space to process everything.

He sent Mihir to find out if she was going to make it and when he came back out saying she had work and was staying back, he was very disappointed. So he sat in the car together with Shagun and they rode off to the grand Imperial hotel with Ishita watching from the window as they left.

Everyone he met there was nice and they were all congratulating him on getting better. He was polite and thanked each and every one of them for coming but he couldn't hide the fact that his mind was preoccupied and Mihir could see right through it

'Can you at least pretend that you are having fun...'' Said Mihir

'Yeah it is very nice...' Said Raman absentminded much to Mihir's amusement

'Dude... What is the problem? If I didn't know you better one would think your attending a funeral...'' Said Mihir

'Nothing... Nothing is wrong, I am fine...'' He tried to lie but he was failing miserably

'Okay is this about Ishita not being here isn't it... Bro... Come on did you really expect her to come? Your charity is called SHARAM... Shagun and Raman... Everyone here is pretentiously celebrating you and Shagun... So come one be sensitive'' Said Mihir

'What... Who the hell named it that? Such cheesy stuff...'' he said causing Mihir to laugh

'Well your fiancee thought about this with a lot of love so... Here we are...'' Said Mihir sarcastically

'Oh I get it... Your right it makes more sense as to why she isn't here... I just want to know if she is okay... I am a bit worried...'' He said

'Why did something happen?'' Mihir asked

'No... I just haven't sent her since morning'' He lied

'What... This is ridiculous. You guys stay in the same house... Okay... Wait...'' Said Mihir as he took Raman outside and grabbed his phone in the process

'What are you doing?'' Raman asked

'Just Shhsss... Wait... Yeah hello...'' He said as he put the phone to speaker

'Hey Mihir what's' up'' Said Ishita

'Well... Your husband is here and feeling guilty for leaving you home. Now he tells me he is worried about you since he hasn't seen you since morning. Now tell him you're okay...'' Said Mihir

Ishita kept quiet for a moment before she finally said

'Raman... I am okay... Have some fun, you deserve it'' She said

'You're sure your fine. I mean with everything and last night...'' Raman began but Ishita interrupted

'We will talk when you get back don't worry. Raman, just have fun...'' She said making him reluctantly agree and Mihir to hang up

Happy...'' Said Mihir and Raman nodded saying

'Thanks...''

Mihir looked at him and began to laugh teasing him and Raman began defending his case when he saw something that he thought was familiar although he wasn't sure.

'Hey Mihir... I will see you inside...'' He said

'Yeah sure...'' Said Mihir as he walked inside

Raman walked ahead to the side of the hotel there was a woman seated at the bench crying her eyes out but he just kept on having flashes of Shagun being seated at the same bench in tears.

'Raman...'' Shagun called him grabbing his attention

'Yeah...'' He said looking at her

'Is everything okay...'' She asked

'Yeah... I am fine...'' He said before he turned to look at the bench again

'Let's go inside, they are waiting for you.'' She said and he turned and walked back inside

Everyone was clapping for him welcoming him back and he realized he was supposed to give a speech. He also felt a very familiar feeling, almost as if he had been doing this for a long time. He got to the pulpit and grabbed a glass of water as he had begun sweating given he was having panic attacks and he wasn't even sure what to do.

'Thank you all for your very warm welcome and also for carrying this forward...'' He said before he began twitching

Mihir who had seen him do that a couple of times knew he was about to have an episode and wanted to walk there and do something but Santosh stopped him

'Mama...'' She said

'No... Let him talk...'' Said Santosh thinking Mihir was going to stop the speech

'Shagun and I began this charity as a way to help children and also give back to society in a way that was so fulfilling given the number of children who were missing out on treatments that could help them just because of finances.'' Said Raman and again this speech was not written but just felt like he had given it before and it was getting a little disturbing and the twitching continued

'She and I have seen the worst in human beings and how money can make even the best of friends betray you and it is through...'' He talked but this time he kept quiet given he had seen someone in the crowd and Mihir noticed

Mihir looked around to try and gauge whom he had seen and when he finally realized who,

'Abhimanyu...'' He whispered

He knew either Raman was about to have flashed or Abhi was about to cause trouble and the latter was something he didn't want to risk so he went after him. When Abhimanyu saw Mihir had seen him, he smirked and walked out

Raman in the other hand was just standing there people staring at him but he wasn't saying a thing

'Hi I am Abhimanyu Raghav... Ishita's friend ...'' Said Abhi

'What the hell do you want?'' Said an angry Raman

'Nothing really... I just came down here because she asked me to be here... She and I are close like that you know...'' He said making Raman even the more angry

'Get the hell away from here...'' He said

'Raman... Raman... Are you okay...'' Shagun called him but he still just stood there and loosened his tie as he tried to catch his breath

'This charity means a lot to my family and I ...''' He tried to talk but the twitching began again

'What are you doing here...'' Said Ishita as she walked into the hotel

'Oh hey you... You haven't been returning my calls so I figured...'' Said Abhimanyu as he walked a head trying hug her but she moved away

'Raman... Please listen to me...'' She cried

'Get out... I do not want to see you... Go...'' Yelled Raman screaming at her

'And take him a long with you while you're at it'' He added

'Please... Baby please... You know this is wrong. Please turn and look at me... Raman, please...'' Cried Ishita with tears in her eyes

'I can't even... You disgust me and I do not want you anywhere near me. I am going to make you suffer Ishita I promise you. For all this pain that you have caused me I swear you will pay for it...'' Said Raman making Ishita fall on her knees as she pleaded with him

'You need to listen to me. Give me a chance to explain myself. This is not... I do not do this... I do not know who told you this... But it is not true...'' She cried

'Did you, or did you not have, an affair, with that man...?'' He asked his eyes blood shot red as he looked at her

'I didn't... I mean yes...I mean... This is not what you think...'' She cried

'What the hell does that even mean? You are pregnant...'' He said

'But it is not his because ...'' She cried Raman interrupting

'Because what you were careful... What...'' He yelled

'Because I never slept with him...'' Said Ishita

'Somehow am sorry I don't trust you enough to believe you. You are just a bloody wh**e...'' He said causing Ishita to yell

'RAMAN...'' Before she slapped him hard

Shagun stood there smiling as she watched all this fall apart and Raman who was breakings inside looks around and could see all these people staring at him but he didn't care as he was done.

He grabbed her hand and dragged her outside as she screamed

'Raman... Raman stop ... Your hurting me... Raman ...'' She cried but he just dragged he outside and to his car as Abhimanyu screamed

'Leave her alone... Leave her alone...'' And Mr. Bhalla was holding him back

People who were there were all shocked and some couldn't even believe why they were witnessing.

Raman turned to look back at what the man who was screaming Ishita's name and he saw the banner

'RAMAN AND ISHITA'S THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY''

At this point Raman's legs gave out and he fell to his knees. Shagun who was standing next to him tried to grab him but she couldn't manage.

'Water...'' He husked and she gave it to him

He had a million things hitting his memory at the same time and he just wanted to leave tat place and go somewhere to just cool off. He walked out of the hotel and made it to the parking lot and got into the car but the migraines just got worse.

He could see Santosh, his father and Shagun scream something but he couldn't hear them. He turned on the ignition and speed away. He began having seizures causing him to skew off the road and bashed into the wall in the parking lot at the hotel

'RAMAN...'' Screamed Santosh and Shagun just collapsed to her knees as the windows of the car shattered

'Someone, call an ambulance...'' Screamed Mihir and he and his father ran to Raman's rescue

Ishita made it to the hospital and she was freaking out not knowing what the hell was going on because no one would tell her. When they got to the hospital Mihir called her and told her everything and she grabbed her car keys frantically driving to the hospital and that was over 10 hours ago.

Everyone was anxious and worried and even though the doctor had told them that he was lucky to have avoided any damage, they had to wait for him to wake up to be sure. Shagun was pretty much worn out from all the crying and Ishita was just numb not sure how to feel or even how to react to all this.

Mihika had just made it to the hospital after that call from Ishita and she just wanted to be there for her sister. Mihir saw her walk in and went to her directing her where Raman's room was since Ishita was sitting there. Shagun was seated with Santosh her eyes bloodshot red from all the crying and Mrs. Bhalla was just sitting there also looking like he hadn't had rest in a while. She walked into the room and saw Ishita sitting at the edge of Raman's bed

'Ishu...'' Mihika called causing Ishita to turn and look at her

'Mihika... Oh God...'' She said as she walked to her sister hugging her

'What happened'' Said Mihika as she turned and saw Raman who now had a bandage on his hand

'I don't know... They say he went out and got into the car. I don't understand why they would even let him into the car... I am so scared Mihika... I don't... If anything happens to him ...'' She said freaking out

'Ishu... Nothing will happen... Just calm down he is going to be okay...'' Said Mihika as she tried to console Ishita who was breaking down

Mihika could see it was taking everything in her to stay strong and not cry but even she needed an off once in a while and today was not a day to be strong. It was okay to let go.

'Ishita... It is okay...'' She said as she took her hands and held her sister's face and it was like as if a switch had gone off and Ishita broke down crying in Mihika's hands

'He can't die... Mihika he can't die... Not like this... I couldn't... I don't think I can survive that...'' She said her voice breaking as she let her tears flow and Mihika only imagining what she was going through just let her let it out.

As Mihika pulled her sister in for a warm hug holding her tight to comfort her, she looked up and she could see Raman looking at them with tears in his eyes. She had to take a second to make sure her mind wasn't paying tricks on her and when she looked at him, she could see a small smile creep up on his face and she knew he was awake and he had heard Ishita

'Ishu...'' She called her but Ishita just stayed holding her causing Mihika to turn her and make her look at Raman

'Hey sunshine...'' He whispered

Ishita looked at him and let out a huge sigh of relief as she bent down holding her knees for strength because she had lost strength to even look at him

'Ishita...'' He called her again and she got up and walked over to where he was

'What is wrong with you? Are you crazy? I don't understand you. It is like you enjoy this... Do you want to die...? I don't understand anything...'' She said very pissed and rightly so

'Ishu... I am sorry...''He said but she wasn't having it

'I thought... When Shagun called... I thought... You are not allowed to die Raman Kumar Bhalla do you hear me...'' She said

'Yes... I won't...'' He said smiling because this care, he wasn't expecting to see at all especially after everything

'Oh you think this is somehow funny...'' She said

'What... No... I don't at all...'' He said his finger on his lips like a naughty child which just pissed off Ishita even more

'You know what... Let me get your family for you...'' She said getting up from the seat pissed as hell and he knew it

He grabbed her hand and pulled her back as she fittingly fell on his chest causing him to hold her. He put his arms around her and pulled her in as he said

'I am back... I am not going anywhere... Not again...'' And she fell apart and held him as well

Mihika looked at them and felt s sorry. Stupid reasons and misunderstanding that could have been avoided got them here and with all the love they had for each other, too bad they couldn't find a way back to each other. She probably should have gone out and told the rest he was up but she knew how much they needed this and so she stayed to give them that time

'Promise me you won't get into any car to drive...'' Said Ishita as she pulled back and looked at him

'But Ishu, I have to travel places... What do you think I will use a bicycle...''He joked

'Raman I am serious... Promise me from now on you use the driver... I don't want this to happen again...'' She said

'Okay... Okay... I promise...'' As he leaned in and wiped her tears that were streaming down her face

'I was really scared you know...'' She said

'I know... I am so sorry...'' He said as he looked ather and become slightly teary again

'I am so sorry for a lot of things...'' He added much to Ishita's surprise and suspicion

'Meaning...'' She said

'Well... For what you have been going through and everything. I really do apologize...'' He said stammering a little and Ishita just smiled hugging him one more time before she walked out calling all the Bhallas and Shagun in

Shagun walked in and hugged him crying but this time he was a bit colder to her than usual and he didn't hug her back. Santosh and Mr. Bhalla were just glad their son was okay and so was Mihir who had more things to worry about now that his brother was okay

'Uhh Raman do you remember anything before you went to the car...''Asked Mihir

'I remember giving a speech or tempting to give on but everything else is a bot blurry. I can't even remember why I was having fits in the first place...'' He said looking so unfazed with what was happening

'So... Nothing really comes to mind...'' Insisted Shagun

'No... I remember seeing a woman crying on the bench and for some reason that reminded me of Shagun... I have no idea why... Maybe you can tell me...'' He said looking at Shagun

'Uhh that is something that we can talk about later. I am just glad that you are okay...'' Said Mr. Bhalla as he changed the topic

Santosh and Raman got into a conversation as he tried to convince her that he was okay and Mihir grabbed Ishita's hand and Mihika's walking them out

'What is it'' Said Mihika

'Listen... I think I saw Abhimanyu today at the gala...'' Said Mihir

'Wait... You think or you actually saw him'' Said Ishita

'I saw him... He was there and that is when Raman started having his fits.'' Said Mihir

'If he is here, it means whatever is supposed to happen has begun. You need to ask your father if he is in any deals with his company.'' Said Ishita

'How the hell am I going to do that? The man doesn't trust me and remember he fired Kushan so unless you find another way... I don't think I can do it...'' Said Mihir

'Your right... Fine there is a board meeting in the next few weeks isn't it. I will take care of it. Call Shlok and tell him we move now...'' Said Ishita and Mihika who knew they didn't have time to waste acted as she was told

She had spent almost 6 months in that house and she had pretty much gathered all she needed to know about that house and Raman's business and she knew what she needed to make it work. She would continue playing the perfect Mrs. Ravan Kumar but this time, she was going to exercise every power she had. There was no way this was going to happen again for as long as she was around. It was the reason she came back after all.

Raman was sent back home and Shagun as always wanted to be seen as the caring partner as always and she had begun smothering him.

'I am so glad that you are back now. You in hospital, isn't, something that any of us likes. You know...'' She said and Raman just smiled lightly

'I wanted to ask if you needed anything. I am going out...'' She asked again

'No thank you I am good...'' He answered as he stared at Ishita who was just walking into the room

'Oh hey...'' He said his face lighting up

'Hey... How has been your day...'' Ishita asked

'Boring... I missed you today...'' He said before he turned and looked at Shagun and then he looked back at Ishita and added

'What the hell is keeping you so busy anyway...''

'Work stuff... I really do not want to bore you with that. Anyway let me go in and freshen up then maybe we shall talk after that'' She said

'Oh most definitely, you and I have a pending conversation...'' He said smiling at her as he watched her walk away

Shagun looked at him and remembered how he used to act when Ishita was still around, when he and she were still together. He always ignored her like she was nonexistent and it ripped her apart inside

'Raman have I done something wrong'' She asked

'Why so you ask? Have you...'' He said

'I don't know... Sometimes I feel like I have wronged you and you are paying me back somewhat'' Shagun said as tears filled her eyes

'Okay I am not sure how to answer this question. I am not so sure I know you very well so you can excuse me if I am freer with Ishita. I can't see you any different that you want me to because all I can imagine is being with my wife...'' He said much to Shagun's surprise

'Your wife... Seriously ... You and I are engaged and you were going to divorce her if she didn't disappear. She is your ex-wife Raman, technicality or not you two haven't been married for a long time'' Shagun said

'What do you mean I was going to divorce her? What did she do anyway that no one seems to want to tell me...'' He asked looking straight at her

'Shagun... Don't you have some work to do or better yet have some office stuff to take care of'' Said Santosh who had heard Raman ask as she walked by

'Ammi I was just...'' She tried to speak but Santosh interfered

'Just go... He is still recovering and which part of didn't over stress him out said by the doctor didn't you understand'' Santosh said

'I am sorry. It is just frustrating...'' Said Shagun

'Buhuhu... I don't care... This is my son's life we are talking about and I do not take lightly to anyone playing around with it just because your feelings are hurt.'' Said Santosh and Shagun knew there was no way she was winning this argument so she apologized once more and left

'Mama is everything okay. I am not understanding why she is angry at me like that.'' He said holding his head as if he was in pain

'It alright... Do not let that even stress you for one bit. Besides you just need to worry about getting better that is it'' Said Santosh taking the empty jar of water before she added

'I will get Ishita for you...''

'Oh no... Not to worry, I will go get her myself'' He said and walked to Ishita's room

'Knock... Knock...'' He knocked

'Come in...'' She said and when he walked in, he would see she was dressed as if she was going somewhere

'Are you going out again...'' He asked

'Later on... Yeah ... I have to go meet Shlok, Mihika and a couple of more friends...'' She said

'I thought you and I were going to catch up, hang out even'' He said

'We will... I still have an hour to go...'' She said

'Oh so you are fitting me into your schedule'' He said as if disappointed

'No...No... It is not that. I can't take you with me. You mother will worry and you fianc will kill me so I can't take you with me'' She said

'What nonsense... Don't I have a say in what I want to do'' He said

'Well yeah but...'' She said looking at him before she gave in

'Okay... Do you want to come'' she asked

'As a matter of fact I would. Let me change and then we will leave...'' He said smiling at her before he walked out and Ishita followed him walking into the living room to wait for him

'Where are you going'' Asked Mr. Bhalla who had just walked in

'I am going out. I have prior engagements...'' She said

'What kind of engagements? You are supposed to be here with Raman and yet you are telling me you're going out? You have to keep up your part of the bargain otherwise this agreement is off...'' He said angry as usual but she just kept quiet

'Ishita beta... Raman is a bit worse than...'' But before Santosh could finish, they could see him walking down the stairs fully dressed and ready to go out

'Raman... Where are you going'' She asked

'Well I am not sure... Ishita won't tell me'' He said

'Is it wise to go out? I mean with everything that happened the last time?'' Said Shagun who walked in from the kitchen after she saw him

'True but you all wanted me to relax and she is the only person who doesn't treat me like I am about to die. I want to be in a place where I am not the patient for one and maybe going out will be it. Besides, she won't let me near any front seat of any car. '' He said

'Damn straight I won't'' Said Ishita before turning to Santosh who was the reasonable one and said

'I promise I will bring in back in one piece...''

Santosh was hesitant but seeing as how Raman was excited she figured why not just let him be. Who knows, maybe the grumpy mood swings he had been having would reduce a bit and against her husband's protests she agreed and Ishita and Raman walked out of the house

Once they got to the car, Jai was the one driving as Ishita had insisted they use her car. He was anxious to know where they were going and also most importantly whether or not he was going to be welcome there

'Okay can I at least know where we are going...'' He asked

'Oh to a birthday party...'' Said Ishita casually

'Who's...'' He asked

'Mishiri's...'' Said Ishita

'Who is that...'' He asked

'Your niece... Simmi's daughter'' Said Ishita looking ahead much to his surprise

'Hold up... Really ...'' Said an excited Raman

'Yup...'' Said Ishita amused at how excited he was

'Oh God... I have a niece... I have a niece Ishu...'' He said getting a bit teary causing Ishita to let out a soft laugh

'Congratulations...'' She said

'Wow... But wait... Are you sure it is okay that I go...'' He asked

'Yeah... It will be fine...'' She said

'Really...'' He asked a bit surprised

'Yes... Now stop asking me questions. You will ask your sister when we get there'' Said Ishita

'Where is it again'' He asked

'My place...'' She answered causing him to sit back with all sorts of excitement going through him and worry as how he was going to be received

'You're sure this will not be me intruding...'' He insisted and she smiled saying

'You won't... Besides ... You sister kind of wanted to see you'' She said making Raman frown a little out of curiosity

'What...'' He said

'Yeah now shut it let us go'' Said Ishita

CHAPTER TWENTY ONE; SCROLL DOWN

They made it there and he was looking around because in all honesty some of the people who were there he didn't know. Suraj saw him standing by the door with Ishita and walked up to him

'Hey bro...I am Suraj...'' He said leaning him as he hugged him

I am so glad you could make it'' He added

'Thank you... I am glad I am here...'' He said

'Hey Raman...'' Said Simmi as she walked to him holding this 2 year old baby

'Hey Simmi... My God is that her'' He asked and she nodded as she handed her to him

'Oh hey... hey beautiful...'' He said as he got teary that he had missed out on all this

'She is so beautiful and she has your eyes too...'' He added causing Simmi to let out a soft laugh as she become teary too

Mihir walked to where they were and Mishiri spread out her hands to go to him and Raman obliged

'I am so glad that you are okay'' Said Simmi

'Thank you... I am getting very much better now'' he said as he looked at his baby sister before he leaned in and hugged her

Simmi was a bit surprised but didn't push the matter and just hugged him back not saying a word

'I am really sorry for everything...'' He said

'Raman...'' She called him knowing he wasn't so sure what he was even apologizing for

'I know I do not remember much but if I had anything to do with you not coming back home, I am so sorry about that. I really miss you, you know...'' He said

'I miss you too and thank you for that apology. Means a lot but I also didn't help my cause...'' She said as she wiped his tears before she added

'Anyway no more depressing talk... This is supposed to be a party''

They all walked to the house and began having an amazing time talking about everything and anything and in a way helping Raman catch up in whatever was happening in their lives.

'Ishu... God you are impossible...'' Said Shlok who was just walking in with Mihika

'What did I do?'' Asked Ishita acting innocent

'Oh really... You are going to play dumb now...'' He said

'I don't know what you're talking about...'' Said Ishita with a dubious look on her face causing Mihika to break out in giggles

'What did she do?'' asked Mihir

'She told him that we were meeting clients here. So he came all dressed for that and prepared'' Said Mihika and all of them looked at him dressed in a suit and holding a laptop bag

'You work too much Shlok... You need to relax a bit...'' She said

'Ishu...'' He said

'Shlok... Kuch Bhi... Relax... Besides there is a jacket up stairs and a couple of clothes, go change'' Sad Ishita as the rest of them broke out in fits of laughter because f his reaction

'What the...'' He said but he couldn't complete when he saw someone

Raman looked at him and at first he thought he was looking at Ishita but when he looked carefully, he was staring at a girl standing behind Ishita

Hey...'' Said and Shlok wanted to say hey back but he felt his throat dry

'Oh... Excuse my manners, this is Sarika, she is my very good friend...'' Said Simmi

'Hello... ' Said Mihika and the rest of them but Shlok was still staring

'Hey Sarika...'' He finally managed to say

'Wait you two know each other...'' Said Ishita

'Yeah he and I met in Goa last month... He asked me on a date and showed up late. Then left saying some one very important needed him. Then he left me there... That someone I am guessing is you...'' Said Sarika as she looked at Shlok then back at Ishita

'Me... Why...'' Ishita asked

'Because he received a call from an Ishita...'' Said Sarika with a very sweet smile on her face and Ishita remembered it was when Raman had that accident

'Oh... I apologize for that... I need to stop doing that... He so damn dependable that it is hard sometimes, not think of him when I am in need'' She said looking at him and Raman's jealous was on the rise even though he knew she was probably right

'So are you and him together...'' Asked Sarika

'Oh wow you are very forward'' Said Mihika causing people to giggle

'Sorry... Simmi is always complaining'' Said Sarika

'I think that is a good thing'' Said Shlok as he kept stealing glances at her

'Well to answer your question... No'' Said Ishita

'Really... I would never have guessed'' Said Sarika

'Oh My God right... I keep on telling them they spend way too much time together.. Someone who didn't know you would think otherwise.'' Said Mihika

'She is right, you two are way too dependent on each other...'' Said Simmi

'No we are not. Besides this one doesn't like going out. Do you know the amount of blind dates we set him up on? All he thinks about is work...'' Said Ishita

Raman who was usually talkative just sat back and enjoyed this conversation. He knew they were revealing things they probably shouldn't be and he was more than happy to sit back and listen

'Ohhh so If you are not dating...'' Said Sarika an Ishita said

'Which we are not...''

'Does that mean he just blew me off...'' She added and Shlok was just a bit tongue tied

'Shlok... The lady needs an answer'' Said Ishita in a teasing tone and Shlok just sort of turned shaking his head as he smiled before he stood up and grabbed Sarika's hand and walked out with her leaving the room filled with laughter and giggles

'Ishu na... That is so unfair.'' Said Mihika

'Oh please... He needed a little push...'' Said Ishita

'Wait... You knew he knew her...'' Said Raman

'Of course... He doesn't hide a lot of things from me and her... she is different for him...'' Said Ishita looking at Simmi

'Why do you think we invited her...'' Said Simmi as she and Ishita high fived

'You conniving little bitch...'' Said Mihika

'He is like my brother it is my job to mind his business...Besides he seriously needs this'' Said Ishita as she threw her head back laughing

Raman looked at her and was blown away as well as surprised because this meant even though she didn't know it yet, she had just let him know of how loyal she had been to him in all those 7 years. While everyone laughed and smiled he become a bit teary and looked at her not being able to even say a thing

'I am sorry about that'' Said Shlok when he got Sarika outside

'About what... The date or their teasing'' She asked

'In a way both...'' He said a bit embarrassed

'So I didn't scare you away'' She said

'What... No... It had nothing to do with that I was just a bit...'' He said and when he saw her smiling he realized that she was maybe teasing him too

'Simmi told me, it is fine and quiet impressive how loyal you are'' Said Simmi and he let out a soft laugh saying

'Well thank you...''

'Also makes you have the best excuse in the book, How can anyone hold that against you'' She said

'Well I hope I get another chance...'' He said

'Let's see how tonight goes...'' She said as she took a seat outside with him

Everyone was still hanging out inside and Raman was just mesmerized with what he was seeing. A lot of things had changed but they still stayed true to themselves and she stayed true to him, she kept his family together, at least part of it and he was glad.

He grabbed her hand as well and walked out with her making it outside for a much needed talk and he too was not immune to the teasing

'Oh ho bhai... I can see you're also over whelmed... Love is in the air people...'' She Simmi as she laughed before she turned and looked at her husband who kissed her cheek but Mihika was the least bit impressed

'Mihika come on...'' Said Mihir who noticed

'I still don't like him'' She said shaking her head as she grabbed her drink and walked away

'Hahahaha... What...'' Said Ishita as they got outside but Raman just threw his arms around her and hugged her

'Raman...'' She said surprised as she hugged him back

'Thank you...'' He said

'What for'' she asked

'For bringing me ...'' He lied

'Your so welcome. I am glad you are having so much fun.'' She said as she pulled out of the hug

'I am and I am so happy I got to see my sister and my niece'' He said

'She really looks like her mother isn't it'' she said

'Yeah she does and I can tell she is very happy and I have a feeling all thanks to you'' He said

'Ohh trust me... Simmi... I had nothing to do with her, it was all her doing'' Said Ishita before she grabbed his hand and walked him back inside as she said

'You and I can talk alter, you two have a lot of catching up to do'' and he obliged

This was the most he had had fun in a very long time and it is the most he had laughed in a very long time too. They had their differences but they put them aside because this day was about family and each and everyone in that room understood that.

He was so glad that he had come and he had a sneaky feeling that Ishita was going to find a way of getting him there even if he didn't ask. His asking just made her work easier for her but either way he was glad he asked because this was one of those nights one can only dream of and never forget.

This went on for some good hours as they all enjoyed each other's company that Raman ended up spending the night at her house since it was late They talked all through the night. Shlok and Sarika just did a lot more catching up than anything else and still endured more teasing than anyone else at that party.

'You're sure this is fine. I really do not want to intrude'' Said Raman

'You're not... Besides this is Ishita's house and she came host whomever she wants'' Said Shlok

'Thanks either way for having me'' He said and Shlok acknowledged him before he walked away

'Well he still doesn't like me but at least now he acknowledges me'' Said Raman and Ishita smiled saying

'It is not that. He is just being...''

'Protective I know...'' Said Raman

'Anyway I will see you tomorrow then...'' She said

'What... Wait... Are you still ignoring that fact'' He aid

'What fact...'' She asked

'The fact that we kissed...'' He said

'Raman I don't think...'' She said but he interrupted

'It is wise to talk about it... I know... But I just want to put it on the record that I don't regret it at all...'' He said

'I never said I did either but that doesn't make it right...'' She said and he could see she was feeling a guilty and he could understand

'I am sorry...'' She began again but he interrupted

'No apologies needed... I get it believe me'' He said smiling at her hoping to lighten the mood

'By the way thank you for inviting me I really needed this'' He added

'Oh it has been my pleasure... Your sister was really happy'' Said Ishita

'I know... And I mean that in the general sense of the word'' He said

'Yeah... She is happy and that husband of hers worships the ground she walks on. It is what every girl wants'' She said

'I can see that. He catered to her needs the entire night. It was refreshing to see someone care so much for her, you know. It makes me know that she is alright'' He said

'Yeah I know what you mean ...'' Said Ishita

Raman looked at her with a million things going through his mind not the less with the fact that she was still here with him.

'Can I hug you. I mean I am allowed to do that right'' He said much to Ishita's surprise

'What...'' She said amused

'Seriously... Can I just...'' He said and she looked at him seeing he was serious and said

'Knock yourself off...'' She said as she turned to look at him and he put his arms around her and her around him pulling him in. He held her so tight like if he let go she was disappearing and everything depended on him holding her

'Regardless of everything, you're the best thing that ever happened to me. I hope you know that'' She whispered and she just held him tighter as she become teary as she said

'Me too...''

She ended up staying longer than she anticipated and even she could tell that that night was different. He was a bit different and it was like whatever he was holding back he just let go and he was just in that moment with her and so she decided to enjoy the moment with her.

He woke up that morning and he knew if he had to keep this, this feeling, this family together, he needed to find a way back to each and every one of them and he needed help. And most f all, he was t find a way to get back to the woman he loved. A lot of things were going on with him and he needed to just let it all out and let someone in. If he kept quiet any longer he was probably going to go crazy

He wrote a note for Ishita at the breakfast table telling her that he will meet her when he got back home and he just needed to go see a few people. And like always his driver got him to town and he got out, grabbed a cab and went Dr. Vandu's office for an appointment that was long overdue and one he needed very badly.

'Okay Raman... Mind telling me why you called me here on a weekend and also booked the entire day...''Vandu said

'I have a lot of things going on in my head and I feel like if I don't tell someone I might break inside'' He said

'What happened... ' Asked Vandu

'Where do I begin? I have a wife who I would do anything t o bring back to my lif but I can't because I am engaged to another. My father hates my wife my mother hates my fianc or doesn't just trust her, that part I am yet to determine further. I thought she was with Shlok turns out she isn't which means she stayed true to her promise but I didn't in a way and now...'' He said in one breath

'Are you having flashes again'' She asked

'No... I am not having any flashed because I...'' He said letting out a heavy breath

'I REMEMBER IT ALL... AFTER THE ACCIDENT ALL THESE MEMORIES HAVE BEEN COMING BACK AND I REMEMBER IT ALL.'' He added looking at a very surprised Vandu
