Chapter-3:
The minister who by looking (at the king) understands his mind without being told (of it), will be a perpetual ornament to the world which is surrounded by a never-drying sea.
-Thiruvalluvar.
Day-0:
Arjun saw someone was skulking outside the window of the office room of Mr.Bharadhwaj.All he wanted was to rive that guy then and there. But he showed nothing on his face.He noted that the fellow outside was keen on the talk inside.
Suddenly he started talking to Sakshi, that creased her forehead first then she glared at him.
"Sakshi this friend of yours,is he just a friend or boy friend?"
She restrained herself from roasting him, once she saw the hint of a smile on the edges of his eyes.
Her eyes followed him as he sprinted out .He stopped and talked again at the door of the office room facing her said , "you told he is arriving tomorrow- " He moved further, "-But standing here eavesdropping you." He went on , from behind the guy.He took the guy by the collar.
The boy jumped at the voice behind. All he wanted was to flee at once. But the grasp of the man that trapped him cunningly was differing in opinion.
He turned to face the fate , that came with a grim face.
And Arjun saw the boy keenly. His fuzz hair was as straggled as the boy himself.
Thus ,Sakshi got a chance to ride back with Arjun. But she could not indulge in it much.
She had to denounce him; She had to interpellate him; She just had to flay him, but could do nothing, since she knew he would close his eyes tight to anything that concerned her.
She had to put him in a hole by taking sides with him for he, the impenitent, did fabricate a story that she could join hands with someone.
How could he? How could he imagine it just like that? She - With Someone Else? What sort of a sick joke was it? That was not fair even for a joke, was it?
He could have said something else, but that!
She should warn him that she was not a laughing stock, for God' sake!'
Soon the ripples of her mind's rill fluxed into skipper's daughters!
"What?- " Arjun intervened.
"That's none of your business" She extemporized curtly.
"That is" He replied mildly. That was the last straw. She snapped.
She turned vigorously to take up the glove, but something urged her to look down.
In her surge of rage, she had toppled the glove compartment unknowingly. A pocket-notebook,and a pen-torch were at her feet and a pen was clinging on the lid, seemed it was confounding whether to stumble over or wait.
Sakshi grabbed it by the neck, before it could decide. It was the same , which was used to prove the blood on the wall (on 29-June-2013 episode) in one of the cases he solved. It was the same pen , which was used to smear her face that day.
She lowered herself and took the pen-torch and the note book and thought these lifeless things were ready to share a story with her unlike their mystic master.
As she replced the things back into the glove compartment she yielded, "I- I'm sorry. I -I didn't mean it."
If she had expected him to say it's okay' she was wrong. It was one thing with him.' She thought. Never accepting an apology manly. And one more ; He would never back bite, particularly if it was her case. Descending upon he stringently was his style of dealing.'
She hated both.
And she also hated herself for begging him to accept an apology , while all she needed was an apology for his quip, Instead .
If she had to add a thing to his accepting list , it was her tea and with that the list stopped short.
What was worrying her actually was, that he would not only go scot- free, but also would get the strength to start talking this sort of rubbish in the ensuing days.
Anyway she was going away and that should have to prove something..
She hoped.
