THE FOUR DAYS

Chapter- 8:

Friendship from ruin saves, in way of virtue keeps;.

In troublous time, it weeps with him who weeps.

Morning:

"Chottu! Can you do me a favor?"

Ayesha asked as soon as Chottu picked his phone up.

It was getting late for her to depart.

She could not tell what, but she was restless that day.

Everything seemed detaching from her.

Something was going out of her hand, she thought, but what?

Some strain was added to her already annoying mind, when she saw it in her bag!

"Oh, it's Sakshi's!"

Ayesha took the notebook from her hand bag and wondered how it could end in her bag.

Then she remembered that, yesterday while they were going to the restaurant, Sakshi had this note book and her pouch in hand.

When they settled in their favorite seats, Ayesha noted them and asked Sakshi to put them in her hand bag. And when they paid the bill and waited for the parcel to arrive she forgot to give the notebook back to her.

After that things started happening fast and after Sakshi rushed into Arjun's room, Sakshi too forgot the note book, totally!

After all, Ayesha knew the importance of this note book and what Sakshi had planned with it, once she went to her Dhi's place.

She was going to make this occasion as a special one and she was going to surprise her Dhi, this time, with that note book particularly.

But now, the note book was with Ayesha!

Everything would be collapsed, if it could not make its way to Sakshi!

She looked at her watch.

She tried her number and tried again.

Then she called Chottu!

He answered at the first ring!

"You know I will!"

He replied and it lifted her mood a bit.

"Chottu! I've to go to see my friend in the hospital!"

"I know that!"

"Right, if you can, want you to give a note book to Sakshi, now, before going to the office!"

"Done!"

Chottu stood at Sakshi's door step and thought what to do next!

He had tried to reach her before he started and now he tried once again, but got the same reply.

The number you are dialing is currently switched off...'

"Very well!" He mumbled.

He went into the conference room with the note book in hand.

He placed it on the table and waited for others to arrive.

When he was drumming on it with his knuckles, suddenly he started wondering what could be the importance of it and especially at that morning.

But once opened he forgot to ask questions like that!

He opened the note book.

The name on the first page said it was Sakshi's!

The slanting letters across the page were decorative, but not in the class with the last letter- 'A'.

The 'A' after her name was differentiated from other letters before it but was not separated with a dot, not accidentally, he thought.

One could not tell that the second name was not written fully because there was no space to write.

He let it go for the time being!

Right, must be some notes on cases!'

He thumbed the pages vaguely.

But, What?-'

At that time, when he opened the note book leisurely, he did not know, how the day was going to change or for what the day was awaiting to do the change...

He started to read ...

He could not help but think; definitely she had another face behind that smile...

He was longingly waiting to share the news to someone,
