Shanta, I miswrote in English. What I meant was that I hoped that they would either show one episode where Radhika finds Chaya (say when she was going to complete her vrats) and brings her back to Dev. Or they would show Dev finding her. Or at least at a minimum, a reference to her by Dev and telling Radhika that he wants his mother back and Radhika assuring him that they would jointly search for her and she is sure that Kanha would help them find her. Even if they had shown a conversation like this, at least it would have been good. But not even in the end she was ever mentioned.
The writers could have left it open ended but could have shown a conversation between Dev and Radhika at a minimum so that there is some sort of hope. Is it even realistic that a sensitive person like Dev would not think of his mother losing everything? With his resources combined with Radhika's resources, they would think of finding her.But writers were always concerned about Padma and anything related to Dev was always neglected. That's why Padma got 3 episodes dedicated to her emotions after the truth about Hari & Chaya came out. Yet Dev got a 15 second solo scene and when he did talk about Chaya, it was with Dai instead of Radhika. Then even there, Padma was inserted after 20 seconds. That's why in the end Padma's son is the back-up caretaker of Muth with no punishment for him and Padma being declared as the ideal Yasoda maiya. See Padma and Dai were the ones who were important here rather than Dev, Radhika and Chaya. That's why Radhika's birth family was not even mentioned and Mansa family was not even shown for an important function like that ceremony. All we saw was Padma, Dai, Madhavi and Kanha for those last 5 days. Radhika and Dev were shown as a side characters because without them, everyone would have switched off the show.
bring some sense to the ends, least of all tying loose ends
