Shanta, I miswrote in English. What I meant was that I hoped that they would either show one episode where Radhika finds Chaya (say when she was going to complete her vrats) and brings her back to Dev. Or they would show Dev finding her. Or at least at a minimum, a reference to her by Dev and telling Radhika that he wants his mother back and Radhika assuring him that they would jointly search for her and she is sure that Kanha would help them find her. Even if they had shown a conversation like this, at least it would have been good. But not even in the end she was ever mentioned.

The writers could have left it open ended but could have shown a conversation between Dev and Radhika at a minimum so that there is some sort of hope. Is it even realistic that a sensitive person like Dev would not think of his mother losing everything? With his resources combined with Radhika's resources, they would think of finding her.
But writers were always concerned about Padma and anything related to Dev was always neglected. That's why Padma got 3 episodes dedicated to her emotions after the truth about Hari & Chaya came out. Yet Dev got a 15 second solo scene and when he did talk about Chaya, it was with Dai instead of Radhika. Then even there, Padma was inserted after 20 seconds.
That's why in the end Padma's son is the back-up caretaker of Muth with no punishment for him and Padma being declared as the ideal Yasoda maiya. See Padma and Dai were the ones who were important here rather than Dev, Radhika and Chaya. That's why Radhika's birth family was not even mentioned and Mansa family was not even shown for an important function like that ceremony. All we saw was Padma, Dai, Madhavi and Kanha for those last 5 days. Radhika and Dev were shown as a side characters because without them, everyone would have switched off the show.

bring some sense to the ends, least of all tying loose ends
they plain didn't care, wanted to gall us to the finish
alll i go away with is ''no pride'' maybe we asked for too much

Misti WOW! loved every word of it, very heart breaking poem. I wish CB had her back on the story and expressed her feeling with Dev. It would have created a great impact on audience mind, can you imagine and CB would have been on top 5. Too late now.

Misti, I somehow see similarities between Radhika and Chaya in some sense but a lot of differences too. Chaya more than likely thought that Dada was not accepting her because she was not good for Hari's image in the society. Dada was an expert in using somebody's love against them. He did the same to Radhika where he showed her that she would end up harming Dev's interests if she married him. Before that, Radhika did not care about the society norms or never wanted anybody else to be Dev's wife. She wasn't going to let Chanda marry Dev and so was willing to go against the family to whom she felt obligated. But Dada was the one who was successful in changing her mind where she thought that Dev marrying another woman would be good for him. So if a girl like Radhika could waiver because she loved Dev so much, Chaya was no match for Dada because she too loved Hari a lot. So mor e than likely she too gave up Dev by trusting Dada and thinking that Dada has Dev's best interests at heart. Also Chaya was also emotionally broken down because Hari (her only support even if he was not ideal) was gone for ever.

But the difference between Chaya and Radhika is that Radhika in the end could not leave Dev as she saw how much he needed her. Chaya probably never saw that need as she just didn't have the chance.

Another big difference to me between Chaya and Radhika is that once Radhika realized that she made a mistake in thinking that Barkha would be good for Dev, she decided to rectify her mistake. So she almost destroyed herself in saving Dev despite knowing that Barkha was Dada's choice and despite making that promise to Dada. Chaya on the other hand never came back for Dev. It is possible that she cut off from everything. But like you and Rajsri mentioned, I too sometimes wonder if Chaya did come back to check on him but remained hidden. If she did it after he got both Radhika and RP title, then she went back quietly. But did she come back and found that he was a servant and didn't do a thing? If that is the case, then she was indeed very different from Radhika. But to me, she is still yearning for Dev and Dev is yearning for her. So the justice to her would be Dev going to look for her, finding her and bringing her back with all respect and all rights that were taken from her. If a MIL has to have keys of PB despite it belonging to Radhika, then it should be Chaya. So Chaya needs to come back and Radhika should take keys from Padma and give them to Chaya as it is her right to do so both as a RPtain/owner of the house as well as being a real DIL of Chaya. Here Radhika would provide the ultimate justice to both Dev and Chaya and as usual reverse all the wrongs that were done in that house in name of dharam. So Dev will finally get his dream family with Chaya and Radhika and their kids.

Ok for today...Another one on Chaya. I am sorry I am trying to write something on Dev but it is Chaya who is coming out in words. I have this image in my mind of Chaya waiting for Dev but I needed something more... so thanks to Hari and her description of Chaya that gave me the complete picture to write this poem.

The Wait...

Sitting by the window pane I have willed my life away

I keep looking at the winding road, and keep my fears at bay

Lingering in the hope that one day you will trace your path to me

You are the one whom my love has sown but whom I could not see

Wonder if you ever think of me when you are one with your thoughts

Or am I of not that significant to you for it to matter naught.

Usually I sit and hum a song to keep my weary heart at bay

But then in a while I realize that it is a lullaby that I am singing all day

It is the same one that I sang to you whilst I first held you in my arm

And I also sang it to an empty cradle, to calm my broken heart as a balm

Do you ever recollect that moment however minute it might have been

Do you have any memories of the one that you are part of, but who has been kept unseen.

At dusk in the meadow by the winding road when the neighboring children are at play

I sometimes see you running around with arms outstretched as a free bird may

My face breaks out in a smile and unknown to me I start to wave

You see me and come exclaiming "Mummy did you see me flying away"

Sometimes I see you falling down and my hands stretch out to break your fall

When it strikes me that that my arms are empty, you are just my hearts recall.

When I see an unknown figure walking up the winding road towards where I live

My heart filled with hope that you have come back to me begins to heave

Although I hold the rods in the window to stop me from running to the door

Still I move in a daze to see whether the unknown figure is the one who is in my core

I always return empty handed, with my eyes dry of tears

And I am back to sitting by the window waiting for you to come near.
