Bee actually the I in the poem is Radhika herself.............it is Radhika who is wondering from where is she hearing the cry of help from a young girl...........when suddenly she realises that the girl is no one else but her memories about her childhood.............thats why the line " Who seemed like a stranger, yet a friend".........so she knows this voice, yet does not know it............its got nothing to do with me wanting to hug Radhika.

Have missed out on a lot of wonderful discussions over the past couple of days ...but have enjoyed reading all of the comments ... it is going to take time for rads to break through from the shackles that have tied her up ...

Now that I re-read it, I feel its very complex ... I don't think Rad has yet reached that stage ...
Yes, in two episodes we saw her talking to herself and all that .. but she has not completely reached a stage where she thinks that she needs to help her(self) out...
,..oh, I think thats what you too are telling "I am waiting for this realisation to happen"...

Bee, you are right in the sense that Radhika has still not reached that state.........I think she has to reach this state for any change to happen...
