The fact that Radhika is still not sharing her thoughts with Dev has been in my mind for some time. She is probably behaving this way because she has never relied on others for help, has done everything on her own and had to depend on herself for her survival. So she does not know how to share her feelings. Although she knows that Dev is always there for her and will help her, but in front of her mayka and amma, her insecurites come out and she again goes back into her shell. I hope she lets go of this tight control that she has on her heart and lets Dev see the real Rad with warts and all.........otherwise she will loose everything. Here is a poem that I wrote today thinking about Radhikas predicament. Hope you all will enjoy it............the bird is Radhika and hands, Dev.

Bird

The bird with broken wings lies on the ground

Calling out to strangers to hear her sound

To heal her and make her whole again

But alas she lies without gain

Lying quietly she cries out in pain

Waiting for others to hear her strain

When she realises that no one will come along

She sings herself a melancholic song

Singing to herself she looks in vain

For a friendly face who will hear her refrain

To hold her and keep her from falling

When she tries her luck in flying

At last she found a helping hand

That showed her life was like sand

The more you hold it tight, the more you loose

Slacken the grip so that life doesn't diffuse

Beautiful. In a sense it applies to all of us to some extent! We hold on and not know when to let go!

Beautiful Misti.

So true about life being like sand and you hold it tight and it seeps through your fingers.

However, when you wet the sand with just the right amount of water it becomes packed and nice and firm.

With no hands of its own, the bird probably doesn't have the ability to wet the sand but the helping hand can. I hope the bird learns that with the aid of the helping hands, life can be beautiful and firm just like the wet sand.

The problem is Radhika and Dev are brought up in such contrasting environments that Dev doesn't understand about Radhika's inability to share or ability to keep things to herself. He has seen some of the abuse and even talked about it prior to the engagement. When she was going on and on about him and Vishaka despite Vishaka leaving him, he reminded her that she doesn't know true happiness as she has never had it before in her life. I hope that somehow Dev finds out about Radhika's secret mission and have a serious talk with her about sharing both good and bad things with him. So far, all of their conversations center around romance and nothing else. Also, Dev is so preoccupied with starting a married life with Radhika that that is all he thinks about right now. (He mentions it in every second episode with her 😆). So, it is always resting until the next full lunar eclipse. Maybe, then he can figure out her silences that there is something going on with her.

Simply Beautiful and seen from this perspective, arouses my sympathies with the Radhika character.
