I did think about starting a new thread of poems but decided to continue with this as a journey of Radhika.........a different journey. I have been itching to write a poem on Radhika when she hears Devs flute in the boat and when she follows the sound of his flute in the college.........so here it is.........

Sounds of Music

Who is this whose calls I hear

That makes me question is someone near

The memories of melody heard in times of yore

Lets me to wonder whether it is the same as before

The strains of music that makes time stand still

And propels me to marvel what is this that I feel

Is it just a tune that is pleasing to the ear

Or is there more to it, something that is dear

All I sense is that it touches emotions deep in me

That people who are around cannot see

Are these the recollections of happenings long ago

Which have become a part of me that I cannot forgo

The figments of memory that have become my essence

Are those the thoughts that are making me lose my sense

Is it that need that is making me believe that the calls I hear

Might belong to the person whom I have always held dear.

All I sense is that it touches emotions deep in me

That people who are around cannot see

Are these the recollections of happenings long ago

Which have become a part of me that I cannot forgo

very beautifully you have expressed Radhika,s thoughts....You can very well imagine these thoughts going through Radhika.s mind when she listens flute playing..... you are really gifted with Expressing your thoughts whether in prose or poetry ....Misti Thanks again for beautiful poem...
