*Season 2, Week 32* Analysis Thread

Today there was a video on YouTube which was supposed to be of Elena saying goodbye to KRPKAB. When I watched it I realized something. All their lives Vickky and Elena aspired to be like Dev and Sonakshi. Where they wanted the lives the latter led. They thought that Dev and Sonakshi were those people who had everything in life and wanted that. Now ironically both Vickky and Elena have reached a point where they have little choice but to live like Dev and Sonakshi. Not like the rosy picture Vilena assumed, but the thorns that accompanied those roses Devakshi represented. Vickky wanted to be like Dev. In the Friday episode he tells Golu that he had just gifted him play station and wondered what more Golu wanted.

Dev for most part of his life led it as a provider with no dreams of his own not by his choice but because he had no other option(so to speak). He spent fulfilling the dreams and wishes of that of his family(Trixits excluding Sonakshi and Suhana) no matter how absurd their demands were or even if it was against his choice. Now Vickky is in the same place. He wants Golu to love him for who he is and act like how Suhana is with Dev. He wants to be the "best dad, best son, best husband etc, in the world. But no matter what he does, he cannot be 'best dad' as Golu will never say that he is. He will always compare what he got/ gets from Vickky and say I already have that. You are not giving me anything new. He will never have Golu's trust nor have that bond with Golu. It is the same with Elena and RR. RR will expect him to toe the line she drew cause she is the reason he has now got what he has got. He is forever bound to her and their shared past. If Ishwari used emotional manipulation and extracted what she wanted from Dev, RR is going to bring up Golu's birth and get him to do what she wants him to do(I don't know whether Vickky will do it or for how long he will do it, but it doesn't mean RR will stop reminding him of their past.)

Just like Dev who didn't have Sonakshi's trust during their marriage phase, he no longer has Elena's trust. He can never regain her trust and just like Dev who lives a life of lies during his marriage phase, has to keep hiding the truth from Elena. He will not be a bridge between his wife and mother and Elena and RR will never be like how Ishwari and Sonakshi are now. He will have that separate life like how Dev had where RR is not ready to give him to Elena. This was symbolically shown with RR saying either you get Elena to stop taking contraceptives by yourself or I will do it for you. RR will always be in the middle of the husband and wife. Vickky now will get a true taste of Dev's life, the one that he never knew. Dev was able to break the chains and now can live his life his way. But Vickky no longer is free. He is now bound for life in his lies, in RR's expectations and will now be pulled from 2 different directions.

Elena's story is also the same. She was highly influenced by Sonakshi's love story and wanted a similar one like that. And now she is living Sonakshi's love story as Sona experienced during the marriage phase. If Sonakshi's trust in Dev broke on their first night after marriage when Ishwari revealed that she hasn't really accepted her as her DIL, Elena's trust broke with Vickky becoming this businessman overnight. She knows how he became businessman and how he didn't really change and that all that resentment he showed was a farce. Just like Sonakshi who went against her core character and tried to change to fit into the Dixit family, Elena is now changing herself to fit into the role of Tripati bahu. She who is not the mothering type is now expected to pay attention to Golu be it in regards to his eating habits or homeworks. She who didn't mind speaking against RR or Vickky and did things of her choice is now keeping quiet and learning things to fit in with her family, trying to meet Vickky's and RR's expectations. She is now sacrificing her life in a way for the happiness of family.

On the other hand Dev and Sonakshi have become like Vickky and Elena. If earlier the latter couple lived for themselves, now it is Dev and Sonakshi. They no longer are expected to sacrifice their happiness or their dreams to fulfill the needs of the family. They are free(for now it is Dev, my guess is Sonakshi will be this week) of the chains that bound them and can focus on their dreams. They no longer need to change to be accepted nor do they need to do something that they don't want to do. They are no longer responsible for the happiness of family, but are free to pursue their happiness.

I am really liking this role reversal. It is like Vickky and Elena are getting a taste of their own medicine. Wish there was more time in which we could see this life in action, but we only have limited time. 😭

Congratulations new thread new week

This is going to be a very emotional and sentimental kinda week for us ..I really dont have much to say ATM..Just enjoy to the maximum and make most of it..Shaavi Lakshmi Suyash Latha DQ and others..have fun just make it super memorable and enjoy to the fullest

I have so much to say but it just makes me emotional I really dont want to breakdown right now..May be friday I will be pouring out all..

I cant even imagine this place will not exist post friday..Its so uhh I cant even express..Thank you Sam DQ

Just one this Past week was most beautiful one the moments sequences which probably everyone was craving for from such a long time happiness positivity emotions and core feel of KRPKAB which we felt since day 1..Wish they had shown all this before..

Congratulations for the new thread n thank u Sam n DQ.. I donno wat to say , I really donno.. I can't even think of the coming wk but yeahh.. V know wat is coming towards us n that too inevitable ...So to lessen the deep impact ,let's brace ourselves...

Can't believe that we are in our last Analysis Thread... Let's have a blast, guys... Probably, this is the last week, where I will have a chance to interact with all of you...

All good things come to an end. Still man Nahi maantha. If the show ended in a natural way or if it is pronounced as a finite series it would have been better . It is easier then to meet the End. But by ruthlessly pulling off the show citing TRPs as reason,the channel left a bitter taste .

So we are in the final week of our favourite show.

Thanks @Sam for the thread. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every wonderful writer on this thread. I always enjoyed reading everyone's posts. Whether I agreed or disagreed, definitely loved reading them and learned a lot from them!!

It really feels very weird, even after accepting the truth that the show is ending, to still believe it's true. As I mentioned before, I have been visitor of this forum for months as a silent reader of this thread, just very recently gathered courage on becoming a member and posting my views. I want to thank each and everyone who liked and gave comments on what I posted - it gave me courage, enthusiasm, interest and confidence, as a Newbie, to post more. You all were the reason why I have really begun to enjoy posting on this thread, kind of looked forward to it each day. I also thank those who did not share their views on my posts; you gave me a reason, a hope and a wish to be better at my posts. Unfortunately my wish was not granted due to untimely end of the show however my HOPE still is intact. "Kya Pata" KRPKAB-2 may happen in the future and my wish gets fulfilled?
