*Season 2, Week 17* Analysis Thread

Welcome to the weekly analysis thread, where we dissect the heck out of the characters, situations, and the possibilities for the leap! This thread is dedicated to in-depth character and story analysis in this new phase of the show. Let's explore how the show, in its complexity makes us think. We leave the thread open-ended so that we can discuss varied topics with each other in a more informal way, and new thread begins every Sunday evening for ongoing discussions as the week unfolds. If you are interested in this exercise, jump right in!

Everyone is invited to join as long as they avoid:

1. Moral policing. This thread should be an inclusive and safe space for people to express their views. This is a work of fiction and multiple interpretations only make it a richer experience. Episodes are no less then roller coaster rides..with so many high points,engaging sequences..Its so much fun..also looking forward for deep intricate intense discussion here..Since I am not able to contribute much but its always good to read wonderful POV

Congratulations for this wk's thread n happy discussing n analysing !

While watching this show, after realizing that this show was so freaking different, I started noticing initial credits. And so I noticed Noel Smith, Raghuveer Sehrawat and Durjoy Dutta. I know Noel from Geet and Raghuveer for his awesome dialogues. Then found Durjoy Dutta on Twitter and was shocked to see some 6 lac followers and then googled him. Wow. He has written bestelling novels. Then I concluded this show is indeed special. I mean how in the TV serial world, we see all things just falling in place.
It is not that, there is dearth of talent on TV, or creativity. There had been many shows where the idea was fresh, or the actors were fresh, or the treatment was fresh, or the outlook, designs were fresh and so many shows where the chemistry between leads is fantastic. But this show is unique and a milestone because apart from being beautiful on outer surface, this has depth too. The depths which its writers have provided to the every single character of this show and every situation which characters face in the show. That depth prevents characters to do things which are not in their character. And so when I wish that Dev should do this or Sonakshi should do this or Ishwari should do this so that their problems get solved, I realise that this is different, we in our lives don't see situations as options and problem solving is never our modus operandi in real lives. And characters are what they are, their basic nature cannot be changed just because we want to see them happy, they will change if they feel the need to do so. For example Dev after losing Sonakshi has changed and realises his mistakes. But no so much to lead a perfect life with Suhana, Sonakshi and Ishwari and all of them being happy.
So I have decided to watch how it unfolds, I will hate, love all characters and cry and laugh with them. And that is what makes me feel entertained and amazed. So writers, please don't be in hurry to make everything alright. Let it be what it should be.

Hi everyone! A super-busy weekend coupled with an inconclusive episode and precap left me wanting to watch the show further before making any comments. Really looking forward to getting some clarity on Sona's deal in today's episode, especially in line with our discussion on the previous thread, @Malika. After her refusal to fall for Dev's drunk plea to be his white knight, I had a lot of hope for Sona's growth, but I had to admit after Friday's episode that she fell into her tried and tested patterns, this time complicating things further by bringing Jatin into the mix.
