Welcome to the weekly analysis thread, where we dissect the heck out of the characters, situations, and the possibilities for the leap! This thread is dedicated to in-depth character and story analysis in this new phase of the show. Let's explore how the show, in its complexity makes us think. We leave the thread open-ended so that we can discuss varied topics with each other in a more informal way, and new thread begins every Sunday evening for ongoing discussions as the week unfolds. If you are interested in this exercise, jump right in!

_____________

Everyone is invited to join as long as they avoid:

1. Moral policing. This thread should be an inclusive and safe space for people to express their views. This is a work of fiction and multiple interpretations only make it a richer experience. If something about the show makes you uncomfortable, be open to the idea that you might be missing the necessary perspective that someone else could provide.

2. Bashing CVs. Criticism is welcome, but should be focused and constructive.

3. Bashing the characters, or pitting them against one another. If you think either the Dixits or the Boses are entirely right, and the other entirely to blame, this is not the thread for you.

And most importantly...

4. BASHING OR PERSONAL INSULTS OF OTHER MEMBERS

This means we accept other people's viewpoints with respect, and don't call them names for not agreeing with us. Either we continue the argument calmly, supported by examples from the show, or we respectfully agree to disagree and leave that discussion alone.

All you wonderful peeps, loved all the dissections and analysis. Burdened with work last week so couldn't write anything, but read all the posts. Hoping to keep pace with you guys this week. Just a small thought that I posted in another thread - with all the parallels and recreation of Sona's accident and Dev now getting beaten up by goons and various other stark role or scene reversals of season 1 going on in season 2 😃 , are we by any chance going to get the epic confession scene recreated with Sona confessing 'I love you as a woman loves a man'? 😆 😆 😆. Just sayin' ... what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander right? 😊 . Actually thinking upon it it wouldn't be bad as most of us were not satisfied with Sona's response during THAT awesome confession... 😆

OMG, that would be awesome! 😃 Sona really hesitated to express her feelings through out S1, whether it was when she first fell in love with Dev, or later when they were married. She preferred to cry, and do her little happy dances in private. Plus, it was obvious that Dev was the one who really needed her to balance out his life lived only for others. Now the playing field is more even. Sona has more than her fair share of pressures -- with Bijoy's expectations, and deciding what is best for Soha --and at some point, they are going to overwhelm her. I would love to see this new, bindaas Dev be there for her when her tight control on her life slips from her fingers.

And I have this secret wish from S1 to see Sona crying in Dev's arms, phoot phoot ke, the way Dev cried with her after Neha's bidai. I swear I am not a sadist; I just love these angsty emotional scenes, and I want to see Dev really be there for Sona when she is at her most vulnerable. 😆

Even i want her to cry in Dev's arms or better both of them cry in each other's arms. Cupping each other faces and their head together. Ok I should hold on my horses. 🤔

@samanalyse and @cscs loved your comments...I used to visit this forum when ever I wanted to have a breather or for stress-busting...off-late I reduced my visits as I got stressed out after reading many comments😆...but this thread is such a solace...everyone is respecting other's point of view...top of all only in this thread empathizing with Dev is not a taboo...😛😛😛...
I have below scenes in my bucket list:
- dev feeling lonely in his room after their separation..bcoz according to Dev the best part of his marriage is seeing sona in the morning...in S2.I would like to see Dev's monologue how he missed his wifie in the early days of separation
- a FB scene, where Sona's dillema of whether to disclose the news to Dev about her pregnancy as well the birth of "tinysona" whom he wanted to shower all his love

will we get these?
We wanted Dev to meet his daughter and what we are getting is Ish meeting Sona😕
Hamara bucketlist tho bucket mei hi rahega kya????

Awaiting for thought provoking analysis and discussion..will chipin whenever I get time...

Hello fellow viewers.
How is everyone doing? Monday 13th will be the 250th episode I think. 6 more episodes.

It felt like Sona was about to cry her heart out after the infertility news came out. And then at Shimla. I suppose they left that one open for the season 2.

Speaking of vulnerabilities, neha needed to see how insecure Dev felt at times. His "unbreakability" used to annoy her.
