Morning knocked at Sharma House as it did at every single house in its vicinity. The twilight of the morning managed to put some light on the picture frame hung in the center of the wall above the headrest of the queen sized bed. The picture spoke simple words of love, affection and life between the people in it. It had a small boy of 5, wearing a white sports t-shirt along with a deep red shorts with a matching red cap which was set slightly sideways on his smiling and chubby face. Having big wide eyes of his mother and the smile of his father, perceptually he had received the best possible combination perceptually one could have thought of. His baby soft cheeks were kissed by his mother who had a cheerful face and big black eyes like her son. It could be guessed she had just tried to look at the camera but was momentarily distracted by her husband who had held the both of them in an embrace with a big dimple digging in his cheek, he had held both of his favourites in his caring arms while the the couple had ended up looking in each other's eyes when he looked keenly in her eyes and she couldn't help looking back in his eyes even when she kissed her child. A perfect picture of a perfect family that once it was.

The beautiful lady in the picture was sleeping on left side of the bed, below the picture with an empty bed on the other side. Her face was that of the most dreamy girl with some proofs of struggle and an incompleteness now in the form of the dark circles below her ever-light filled eyes.

She opened her eyes to a bright morning and rubbed her eyes to adjust to the brightness after a dark night's sleep. She looked sideways and realized the same that she had been doing from almost 6 months now that there was no one to look forward to in this direction.

She settled this displeasure in the same place she had created for it from some time now. She woke p completely to set for her big day today.

Nupur was ready at the breakfast table and after setting breakfast with the help of her maid for herself and her in-laws, she set for her route smiling with more than 1 reason to cherish today. Firstly, it was a big project she had been handling for a while now at work and she was all ready to present it today to her boss in a complete form. But, contrary to what believes were set lately, she was more happy for the 2^nd reason. She knew in her heart that she had been looking forward to this day from as long as she had been planning secretly to some amendments to her life. Though the hurt in her mind and heart were still afresh but wants and needs always demanded a lot more than a life which has been stalled. She prayed to God joining her hands at the front door of the Sharma House, before Nupur Sharma left her home for a coveted say ahead.

Nupur was all happy with the way the 1^st part of her day ended and during lunch time she was already equipped with her presentation going too well in one hand to declare this day as seemingly lucky already. She was lost in some thoughts of her favourite person, without wanting to tamper those with recent bitter additions to her sweet memories, she was found smiling in the reflection of the thickglass painting on the other side of the wall.

She was alarmed, after a few minutes, by a reminder on her cell phone which read 'Call Mayank Now' which replaced her smile immediately with an expression of mixed emotions while she realized it was now out of question to delay it any further and keeping her hand on her throat with which she tried to clear her speech, she dialed the special contact name that she had saved for him and waited for him to pick up the phone.
