Sunny Deol lashes out at paparazzi during Dharmendra’s asthi visarjan: "Kitne paise chahiye tereko?"

Sunny Deol was in Haridwar on Wednesday to perform the asthi visarjan of his father, Dharmendra, when an unexpected moment unfolded. A video from the ghat began circulating online where Sunny is seen confronting a photographer who attempted to film the ritual.

In the clip, Sunny walks straight toward the paparazzi, snatches the camera and questions him sharply. Paisa chahiye? Kitne paise chahiye tere ko? he says in a firm, angry tone. The sudden exchange left several people around visibly startled, considering the sensitive nature of the ceremony.

This isn’t the first time Sunny has expressed frustration with intrusive cameras. After Dharmendra returned home from the hospital earlier this month, Sunny had stepped out to address the media gathered outside their Juhu residence. In that moment too, he questioned the behaviour of those recording constantly. Aap ke ghar mein maa baap hai, bachche hai. Chu**** ki tarah video bheje ja rahe ho. Sharam nahi aati? he said, urging the photographers to show some sensitivity.

Dharmendra passed away on November 24 after being admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to health concerns. Though he was discharged, reports suggested he was placed on a ventilator following breathing issues. Despite brief signs of improvement, he passed away the same day. His last rites in Mumbai were attended by Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and several colleagues from the industry.

On Wednesday, Sunny and Bobby Deol reached Haridwar with family members to immerse Dharmendra’s ashes in the Ganga. Videos from the ghat show the family dressed in white, holding each other close after the rituals. The Deols performed the ceremony at Pilibhit House, where the ashes were kept before immersion. Once the rituals were over, the family quietly left for the airport, choosing privacy during a deeply personal moment, especially as crowds and cameras continued gathering around the area, hoping to capture every movement of the grieving family.
