Part 12:
It was a very beautiful morning to start with for Mayank and Nupur, the first morning after their marriage. Lying in each other's arms they welcomed the sunlight, fading a little through the curtains to reach them.
Mayank sensed Nupur was coming out of her deep sleep and so pulling her close, he caressed her arm and turned to look at the sunrise in her eyes. Comfort was only a gesture towards each other. They were comfortably uncomfortable in each other's arms, specially Nupur, it was heavenly but all so new.
Nupur, though, usually managed well to act very casual even at such instances but today she could feel her cheeks highlighting itself at all her new encounters. She could easily guess the colour on them. Their marriage, last night, Mayank's beautiful way to greet her morning with a smiling eyes and a smile 'only awe-worthy' had to leave a deep mark. Besides, knowing the fact that Mayank knew only too well of her profound shyness, it made her blush more as he grinned to tease her even more.
But she didn't care to cover it up much today 'He was all hers from now'. Even this thought though sounding audacious, made her bite her lower lips as she realised his smile had a connection to something drooping in her stomach.
As he moved closer to claim her lips, she placed her finger on his lips and moved ahead to kiss his 'now-faintly-visible-due-to-questioned-look' dimples. When he realized her way out of his worry, he pressed his own cheeks to her lips as she pressed the latter on them.
He smiled as she moved back, trying to fix her scattered hair while he only pulled her close to him as he said, "Good Morning Nupur! So how Is it to be Mrs. Mayank Sharma, huh?"he chuckled completing.
Nupur suddenly turned the colour of his chuckling lips at this simple question of his. He chuckled even more. Flicking his nose, she replied, "Ive never been better than this"
Mayank smirked and replied notoriously and flirtatiously, "Really? What exactly made you feel so good in a single night?"
Nupur looked at him agape and with wide eyes only to press them close tight at the meaning he gave to her own words. Mayank leaned half over her and kissing her baby pink cheeks, he said, "I just love you for what you are Nupur!"
At this lovely declaration she opened her eyes and she saw unmatched sincerity in his words, she wondered how can his eyes always convey 'Just Right'.
She engulfed her arms across his neck and replied in a rather dramatic tone, "Umm…But…I just love you coz U love me so much…sad that you must always have your reservoir of love completely filled for me so that you can get some love back atleast" making a disappointed face she ended her sentence.
Mayank smiled and replied, "Well, then I always know how to get it back for myself and its VERY difficult to not love me back when I am at it, you know!"he replied rather thoughtfully.
Nupur giggled and asked challenging, "Really? And how is that?"
Mayank moved ahead and brushed his nose and lips with hers slowly, making her go insane already and all her sense and sensibility went 'puff' in a second to be able to comprehend the meaning of his words and to try to quip more.
Looking at her dazed expression he repeated his actions and said, "See I told ya!"
And before Nupur could come back to his present thoughts, she moved closer and he got all the passion back that was earlier aroused by himself. But who complained at such a revenge?

Dinner went fine for Mayank and Nupur after long. It was certainly the presence of Varun that was having its effect on both of them or rather on Mayank on more so.
It was the time for sleep and today Mayank was not sleepy already. Nupur had a chance to talk to him but something held her from within.
Today all went good and she didn't want to bring in the hurting chapters of their life back for more tears, arguments and misunderstandings.
Still juggling with the thoughts, Nupur was about to start it anyways, for she knew now that she would speak what he wanted to listen to, but hearing a knock on the door, she walked towards the door and opened it only to see Varun standing there. Varun rushed right in and jumping on the bed and declared, "Mom, Dad…I'll sleep here right in the middle" as he pointed towards the middle of the bed.
Nupur came smiling towards the bed, where Mayank and Varun had already high-fived, and asked plainly reminding Varun of his words, "And what about your plea Varun when you had said – Mom, Dad…I am a big boy now, I want my own room!" Nupur asked with a smile to Varun and with a raised eyebrow.
She was talking about when he was 5 and though he had needed Nupur and Mayank time and again around him in his very room to make him feel fearless, but still now he was almost used to it on his own demand.But Nupur knew he missed them around him still and she too missed it nevertheless. And she knew that to keep up with his words he hardly demanded that he slept in their room anymore, typically Mayank's habit of going out of the way and keeping up to his words.
She knew how he immediately reacted on complaints and teasing and it was a treat to watch him try to explain things in a serious way without things being so serious. He tried to almost act like Mayank sometimes, being such a 'dad-follower'.
Nupur knew and laughed at how Varun had grown to be much like Mayank then her, this told her that Varun would also always need her like Mayank did. However, this thought made her bite back her words for now, she had grown unsure here.
Varun looked from Mayank to Nupur and replied while he jumped to a sitting position crossing his legs, with Nupur and Mayank on both his sides on the bed now. He started explaining, "Ya I said so, but now I am all alone in the other room in this new place and it is not even my room" while he had completely forgotton being here when he was in his 'no memory phase of life', i.e., when he was small enough to forget his memories. He continued, "And you'll must have all the fun here without me" he sounded serious again about his concern.
After Mayank and Nupur exchanged a quick inexplicable look, Nupur burst out laughing at Varun and replied, "Okay, so lets have fun together. What do you want to do Varun?"
While Varun sat thinking and Nupur watching him, they had no idea how soothing Nupur's laughter seemed to appear to Mayank now along with Varun's cuteness. He wondered why Nupur always said Varun was serious like him, he just tried to be but according to Mayank, Varun was as easy going and always in fun mood like Nupur.
Varun thought for a moment and replied, "I am tired, so no playing now and I also helped Mom to cook today in the afternoon" wiping his imaginery sweat beads he acted a total Nupur here and Mayank burst out laughing now at every inch of his reaction while Varun continued, "So lets sleep now!" he declared. Mayank smiled to him to appreciate his idea.
Sleeping between Mayank and Nupur, Varun pulled both their hands immediately accesible to him and held them in both his tiny hands and adjusted them on his stomach thereby overlapping them on each other, while he made mental note of not at all mentioning that he slept like a kid between his parents when he narrated his fun times in vacation to his friends.
Mayank looked at Nupur with a worried expression and Nupur before reacting back to him turned off the lights. She didn't want Mayank to go ahead with his distance keeping plan anymore, certainly she wasn't going to help him now in this. They were way too close to let these petty distances and thoughts to have its share now. Though she still wondered how after so many years too, his touch felt new, warm and as if it gave her some energy.
Varun spoke up breaking her thoughts, "Mom, Gunjan Masi and Samrat Masu remembered me?"
Nupur replied smiling at his way of inquisition, "Yes, ofcourse they did. And they want you to stay at their house after we go back, Rohan missed you too and he has only one elder brother after all".
Rohan was Samrat and Gunjan's son while Gunjan was Nupur's petite and delicate sister. Samrat was a great friend of Mayank.
Varun replied contented with the answer, "Okay, I'll go there and Mom I'll give Rohan a new car toy too. He always wants mine. Will you buy that for him?"
Nupur chuckled and replied, "Okay! And now sleep soon! Good Night" and kissed him on the cheek while she was worried with Mayank's silence now. Had he fallen asleep now already? Why wasn't he speaking much to even Varun now? Thinking maybe, coz she hadn't replied back to his glance was may be the reason for his worry, in that case he would be fine soon, she adjusted herself close to Varun and hugging him with her other spare hand, she went in a peaceful sleep, after long.
Mayank only felt left out a little from Nupur's hug today. Besides, there was another thing bothering him. Maybe, he was wrong, it doesn't happen to all and it shouldn't happen to him again.
He felt sleepless and a little restless. Later, moving himself towards his favourite group of people, he finally fell asleep.
