Mehrya SS : One Last Chance

Today was a very special day for the Sharma's. Their elder daughter was getting married. All were very happy especially Kaanta. Mehak's marriage had become Kaanta chachi's dream. She wanted to see her married and settled and this was finally happening.

Kaanta chachi was looking at all the arrangements and smiling. Finally, everything was going right. PD came from behind and looked at her. She kept her hand on her shoulder and said: Kaanta aaj tere saare sapne pure ho gaye...Our Mehak is getting married today. It's a special day for our Mehak.

Kaanta chachi: Ha PD...I am very happy today...Finally, my bacchi will get all the happiness that she deserves...God bless her...Bas Mata Rani sab acche se ho jaaye..

PD: Of course, acche se hoga...Tu chinta mat kar...Apni bacchi ne kabhi kisika bura nahi kiya toh uska bhi bura nahi hoga...

Kaanta chachi nodded in agreement. PD and chachi were talking when Mansi came and asked Kaanta to talk to the pandit who was going to do the marriage rituals.

Mehak's room:

Mehak was dressed in a pink lehenga with a bright pink dupatta over it. She was wearing the traditional Punjabi chooda in her hand. Her make up was subtle, not very flashy. In fact, she insisted to keep it simple. Her friend Sonal was adjusting her dupatta over her head. She was constantly teasing her how her groom will go crazy after having one look at her.

Sonal: Haaye Mehak...aaj tu koi pari lag rahi hai...Tera dulha toh tujhe dekhte hi reh jaayega...Subhanallah, u r looking gorgeous...I think I m looking at the most beautiful bride now!!!

Mehak: Thank u Sonal but ab bas bahut tareef ho gayi...Itni bhi acchi nahi dikh rahi...

Sonal: No Mehak seriously u r looking very beautiful...

Mehak: Naah...main nahi maanti..Tum jhooth keh rahi ho...

Before Sonal could say anything, Kaanta chachi entered the room and spoke.

Kaanta chachi: Sonal sach keh rahi hai...She came near Mehak and kissed her forehead...Tu bahut acchi lag rahi hai...Sabse sundar...

Mehak blushed and said: Thank u chachi

Kaanta chachi was admiring Mehak looking at her beauty and thinking tht in a few hours, she would leave this house and go to another house. This was what chachi had wanted but now when the day has finally come, chachi is sad that she wouldn't get to see her daughter from tomorrow. She will have a new family and new responsibilities to take care of. Will she forget us? Chachi was thinking about all that when Mehak called out her name.

Mehak: Chachi app kaha kho gaye? Are u ok? Aap ro rahe ho?

Kaanta chachi wiped her tears and said: Arre roou nahi toh aur kya karo...meri bacchi apne sasural jaayegi toh main roungi hi na...wht If my bacchi forgets me?

Mehak hugged her chachi and said : Chachi pls dnt say that.. I ll never forget u...Ever since Ma Baba left me, you have been my strength, my anchor in life, my everything...Main aapko kabhi nahi bhul sakti.

Seeing Mehak and Chachi getting so emotional, Sonal tried to lighten the mood in the room.

Sonal : Itni mehant se jo parlour waali ne makeup kiya tha use kharab kar de..Uski koi value hi nahi hai...

Mehak and chachi looked at her and laughed.

Mehak: Sorry...

Sonal smiled and said: Chal I still need to fix ur dupatta...Please sit here... (she said pointing towards the seat in front of the mirror)...Baraat aati hi hogi.

Mehak sat on the seat and started getting her dupatta fixed. She was adjusting her chooda properly. Sonal was finally done with everything.

Sonal : Now everything is perfect...Now u sit here...I ll go and check ki chachi ko koi madat chaiye toh...Sit here and relax...There is still time for the baraat to come...U need to rest a little.ok?

Mehak nodded and Sonal closed the door and left.

Mehak was adjusting her bindi when someone spoke from behind: DON'T MARRY HIM!

She looked in the mirror... It was Shaurya.
