Shaurya was punching the boxing bag thinking about all that happened a few hours back. He was angry at the way Mehak reacted when he asked her about Ajay in the lift. When he saw Ajay hugging Mehak, something boiled inside him. He wanted to follow them but Karuna called him up and insisted him to return home immediately. Had his mother not called, he would have definitely chased them and confronted Mehak.
Shaurya: Confronted Mehak? Why would I do that? Who is she?
He continued punching the bag more. He didn't know what was making him more angry - Mehak's behavior towards him or Mehak-Ajay's closeness?
Ever since his act (love confession), he had completely forgotten about Mehak's marriage to Ajay. In fact, Mehak too had forgotten that she was to wed Ajay in few months. Shaurya really didn't understand what he really wanted. His plan was to make Mehak fall in love with him and then break her heart to suffer for the rest of her life. It didn't bother him if she married any Tom, Dick and Harry or that son of **** Ajay.

Karuna: Is everything alright Shaurie? I called you so many times but tumne mujhe suna hi nahi...
Karuna was really worried for Shaurya for the last few days. She knew something was bothering him but she couldn't pinpoint to what it was. The Khanna house help, Awaara, had informed her that Shaurya had come home very angry and refused to have dinner.
Karuna: Why didn't you have dinner? Bahar khaakar aaya hai?
Shaurya: Hmm nahi...not in the mood to eat Maa...
Karuna: Wht is with the workout today? Its been 2 hours since u r back home and you are still continuing with it. I guess you should stop now. You will injure yourself.

Karuna: Shaurie sit with me for sometime. Its been a long time that you had a chat with your mother. Aaj kal toh tu kuch jyaada hi busy rehne laga hai.
For Shaurya, his mother meant the world to him. Everyone knew how much he adored this lady who loved him like his own son. To be honest, he didn't respect her; he worshipped her.
Shaurya smiled: Yes Maa, sorry I couldn't give you much time. Really sorry for that.
Seeing her son smile, Karuna was assured that everything is fine and that she need not worry.

Today was one of the tiring days for the entire kitchen staff at the hotel. It was a routine at the hotel to meet in every 2 months to discuss and plan new recipes in the menu. It was Rajeev who had come up with such an idea to target not only their customers but also the staff to open up and come up with innovative ideas. Head chef Alok Sinha would head this session where he would encourage new ideas from his junior chefs. The session would include discussions one new recipes or varying certain ingredients in regular dishes to enhance their tastes and flavors. At times, Rajeev would participate in these sessions depending on his schedule. However, he had strictly requested Shaurya to not come for these sessions as he felt that the chefs would feel uncomfortable and conscious in his presence. Also, Shaurya's busy schedule wouldn't leave much scope for him to join either.
However, Shaurya decided to make an exception for this session. He purposefully sat for this session only for one reason - to torture Mehak. For the last few days, she had been avoiding him very well but Shaurya wouldn't give up so easily. He decided to attend this meeting so that he could evoke a reaction from her and then break her. With that thought, he made his way to the conference room where all the chefs were seated. None of them knew that their MD was going to be a part of this meeting not even Alok. When he entered the room, all were shocked seeing him especially Alok. There was pin drop silence in the room now. Mehak was writing something in her book when she realized that all were quiet. She looked up to see the reason for silence only to find Shaurya standing at the door with a sly smile staring at her. Mehak knew why he had come here. She looked down and continued writing in her book. Shaurya was annoyed with that reaction.
Shaurya thought: Bloody hell! Who is she showing that attitude to? Just wait and watch Ms. Sharma...aaj ki meeting mein tumhe rulaya nahi toh mera bhi naam Shuarya Khanna nahi.
Alok: Hello Sir, are you attending thi session too?
Shaurya: No I have come here to see the room...what kind of question is that?
Alok gulped down his fear and looked at Shaurya.
Alok: Sorry Sir. Please have a seat. We are really happy that you are here. I am sure the chefs will be pleased to hear your inputs too.

In Shaurya's presence, they felt burdened to put across their ideas fearing that he might counter question them. Alok too sensed the uneasiness and pressure that his junior chefs were having due to Shaurya's presence so he didn't prod them further. He decided he would discuss this offline with them.
Alok: Ok in that case, let's move on to the other topic. Are there any variations that you guys would like to suggest in our already planned menu? Any change in ingredients?
Mehak was concentrating on what Alok was saying. However, she could feel Shaurya's eyes digging holes into her back. He was making her feel very uncomfortable with his stares but she decided to stay calm and not react. She refrained herself form looking into his direction. Alok was giving his inputs regarding the menu and everyone were noting them down in their books. Shaurya continued staring at Mehak for quite some time when he finally decided to take matters in his own hand.
Shaurya: Stop Alok. I am amazed that no one has any new ideas regarding the menu. That's just not possible.
All the chefs grew uncomfortable and started stifling in their seats glancing around to avoid his eyes thinking that if they look at him, he would ask them the question.
Shaurya smirked: Ms. Sharma any ideas?
Mehak looked at Shaurya nervously and got up from her seat.
