It was late at night and Shaurya was busy hitting the punching bag in his balcony. Awaara informed Karuna about Shaurya. When Karuna went to see Shaurya in the balcony, she simply smiled. She stood near him and said: I won't ask you the reason for your anger today coz I know you would never tell me...So continue with what you are doing. Good night!!

Saying so, she turned around and went near the door. She had just reached the door when Shaurya spoke: Can we talk Maa?

Karuna smiled and said: Are you sure you wanna talk?

Shaurya: Maa why are you saying that?

Karuna walked towards Shaurya and sat on the couch facing him.

Karuna: Nahi...for the last few days we haven't spoken at all and if ever we talk, it's always Svetlana or Harish but hearing the tone of your voice I m sure they aren't the topic of our discussion..Right?

Shaurya: Yes...

Karuna: So what is that you wanted to talk about?

Shaurya: Maa...Do you love me?

Karuna laughed: What kind of question is dat Shaurie?

Shaurya: Maa please answer me..do you love me?

Karuna smilingly: Of course I do beta...

Shaurya: What if we have a huge fight one day, stop talking to each other and start hating each other, would you still be worried if I hurt myself? Would that matter to you?

He stared at her waiting for her answer.

Karuna: Yes I would.

Shaurya: Would you just ignore me if I am in pain?

Karuna started laughing.

Shaurya: Maa what are you laughing at? I am serious here.

Karuna pulled his cheeks and said: Do you realize Shaurie that we have never had a conversation like dis before.

Shaurya: So?

Karuna: You are asking the wrong person...Why would I fight with you? And if that ever happens, why would I hate you for such a silly reason? I would obviously be worried for you coz I am your mother not your girlfriend.

Shaurya looked at her when she said girlfriend.

Shaurya said defensively: I do not have a girlfriend.

Karuna: I didn't say you have one..why are you being so defensive?

Shaurya: I am not being defensive Maa...just telling you.

Karuna: Did I ask you? No right...Shaurie is there a girl problem?

Shaurya: Nahi...and secondly they themselves are the biggest problem.

Karuna knew that she was going in the right direction but she also knew her stubborn son who would never admit the truth to her.

Karuna: Fine...Is there anything else you want to talk about?

Shaurya: Nope nothing...

Karuna: Ok then good night..

Karuna was walking towards the door to go to her room when she smelt the scent of roses which was pleasant. She touched the roses and couldn't stop herself from smelling them.

Karuna: Yeh mehak acchi hai na!!

Shaurya was shocked to hear that his mother knew about his and Mehak's affair. He turned around and looked at his mother.

Shaurya: How do you know it's her?

Karuna: What?

Shaurya didn't know what to say. He didn't want his mother to know about them but he just couldn't understand how his mother got the whiff of his affair.

Karuna: Main keh rahi thi ki in roses ki Mehak bahut acchi hai na...They smell so wonderful na ...

Shaurya was relieved hearing that. So she was talking about the flowers not his Mehak'.

Shaurya: You were talking about the flowers?

Karuna: Obviously, what did you think?

Shaurya: Nothing.

Karuna: Shaurie now I m sure there is something wrong with you beta.

Shaurya: Why do you think so?

Karuna: Well, things are repeating..aren't they? Few days back, the same scene had repeated...You coming late from office, punching the bag in frustration, skipping dinner, gussail bail ki tarah chilla raha tha...chida hua tha...and now the same thing...problem kya hai teri!!

Shaurya never understood how his mother understood him so well even when he never spoke his heart out to her. She had to just look at him and would know that there was something that was troubling him.

Shaurya: Maa...nothing.I am fine. Please don't worry about me..

Karuna: Of course I will worry for you beta...I know there are a lot of questions in your mind and I would suggest you to start looking for the answers yourself...My son is intelligent enough to understand and solve them...Thik hai?

Shaurya smiled at her and hugged his mother.

Shaurya: Love you Maa...

Karuna: Love you too..Good night and sleep now. Enough of thinking for today.

After Karuna had left, Shaurya realized that he had said his Mehak'.

Shaurya: She is not my Mehak...I have gone crazy. Tht girl is driving me nuts...Damn..Kya kar raha hoon kya keh raha hoon kuch samjh nahi aa raha hai...Stop thinking about her Shaurya and think about how you will manofy Rajeev. Tomorrow, first thing in the morning I need to call him and apologize to him for my rude behavior...So kal se no thinking about Ms. TRP Mehak Sharma...bhool jaa usse and concentrate on you work!!!
