Anyways, coming to the actual episode...overall it was sort of somber despite the Abhi-Meera scene.
I was about to go and prepare dinner, but saw your early post and thought I had to reply back...haha, your general tone suggests that you are dissatisifed with the epi..lol, I on the other hand found it very wholesome after a long, long time. Yes, the fact that abhi is becoming depressed is there, but thats a given, considering that he is about to get into a seemingly lifeless shaadi and loves a woman who considers him as merely a friend, who will get married in front of his eyes, in fact its a miracle he even smiles the little bit that he does 😆
Babli ka sherni mode returned somewhat but as usual she couldn't really prevail much other than showing her displeasure to Amma.
The award for most W*F dialogue today goes to Amma..."Suraj ko dusro ko roshni dene ke liye jalna hi padta hai"...waah Amma, Waah👏👏...what a convenient justification for destroying the life of your "suraj" grandson😕...Immensely disappointed in this dialogue today...couldn't even feel any empathy for the blatant selfishness from Amma here.
I actually would take this babli anytime over the mere looks that she delivers from the first floor and Abhi consoling her from below. Atleast, we know she is stubborn and will never accept anything that she KNOWS makes his child unhappy. She gets all of my brownie points for not relenting to Amma and in fact questioning her that the only reason they are getting Abhi married in a rush is because they are afraid he will fall deeper for Meera. Loved the bit where she admonished Amma for punishing Abhi for whatever yuvraj did. Love the tiny moment betn Abhi-Babli where Abhi asks her not to confirm Amma's suspicions about his love for Meera. Amma taking Abhi for granted, but then, she always has: what will calling him a bhagwan first, where babli had a better come-back than here. Very characteristic of her - it doesnt surprise me anymore, ofcourse she deserves no empathy whatsoever. These Pants all be taking him for granted, the only people who dont are cousin gang and babli- baki sab ke liye toh he takes turns in being 'bade bhaiyya', / 'bhagwan' / 'sooraj' etc etc.
Yograj ka b.s. continued for most of the episode...the kaamchor, nikamme brothers drinking together and Abhi just getting happy at the visual of his family all together...*sigh*...felt like a depressing turn of events overall somehow.
this is definitely going to take a depressing turn, Abhi is starting to warm up to his ada again, ugh.
Glad to see that Meera's mom told her about Aman's sifaarish and Meera stated the obvious fact that this is like dahej...*slow claps* for Riya displaying her brainlessness as usual and trying to brush this under the carpet👏😆
Meera's oblivious yet determined nature made for the most noteworthy moments of the epi...her continuing to voice the fact that she feels like something bad is happening but she can't quite put a finger on it...
LOVED Meera here and slight hope from Mommy raizada. I always felt that amongst the two parents, if there was a chance for someone to be slightly perceptiove and reasonable it was her. Right from the beginning she had been asking her daughter and now hearing it from her, definitely something rings in her head. Hope they follow up on this, though precap suggests that they will. Loved the way Meera showed us an insight into Papa raizada by saying that he never even attempted to get his daughter graudtaed- it is a huge thing, considering just how easy it might have been for him. You begin to see why the girl dotes on her father- he is everything ideal to her and not being able to give him that one ray of happiness must surely kill her inside. Riya, toh Riya hai...I'd thought she wouldnt sink lower after dismissing Aman's very obvious abuse as "woh ghusse mein tha", but here toh she lowered the bar for stupidity even more. All I can say is all the best to Sanjay, feel the worst for him at this point- kya dekha hai usne Riya mein? Her character is going haywire, no balance whatsoever. She sneaks over to Abhi's room without a thought...lol I'm wondering how she climbed over to his balcony...itna easy tha toh how did she not manage to do it before?😆...such a role reversal it was since Abhi was the one all frazzled about the MUs that can come out of people seeing her in his room this late at night and Meera didn't give two hoots😆...urging him to take a deep breath and just listen to her...
I just feel more and more sorry for Abhi...it's getting depressing now again...the way he pulls himself back from blatantly telling her that she shouldn't marry Aman to then having to excruciatingly force himself to justify Aman's bullshit behavior...I wish they wouldn't make him that pathetically majboor...I get that he is doing this cuz of what Meera's dad said to him but even then.
I liked how Meera directly stated that he is the only one she can trust right now...and then pauses at the "kyunki..."...unable to finish the thought, not really knowing herself just why she trusts him so implicitly...why she needed to seek out only him to talk.
I loved their talk, loved it so much I wouldnt even be able to express it. especially these lines about how he is the only one she can trust, that she needs no reason to do that and that she is sure that of all the people in the world, he is the only one who always tells her to do the right thing, regardless of what it means for her. Bascially, she just gave an entire speech of why she loves him without actually realising it😆 but chalo, this amount of perception works well on me...for now.
My fav. part of this scene was the Delhi v/s Devpur debate😆...Abhi trying to dissuade her from wanting to stay in Devpur and Meera going on and on praising the positives of being in this place...lol in between she maaroed some line about neela aasmaan that she tells Abhi to remind her of later cuz "achhi line thi"😆.
haha oh, Meera😆 Abhi's very slight, but obvious eye roll at her "acchi line thi, mujhe baad mein batana haan" is representative of the comfort level they share...aise waqt mein bhi he can go W*F at her antics, while at the same time understand what she is talking about. Loved the whole debate there- Abhi trying to convince her (and himself) why she shouldnt be in devpur and Meera trying to convince him why she should😆😳, lol...just get them married, yaar! I actually loved the scene where they were hiding, somehow the narration and tone of that scene was such that their fears and anxiety were palpable...also, was thankful about the fact that they didnt use thi moment to initiate a staring contest between them due to the obvous closeness and proximity, only Abhi seemed to notice that, much much later...while Meera was clueless as usual 😆. It was such a simple and real scene, transitioned so nicely into an exasperated Abhi telling her to switch off the torch 😆
Meera's faith in him to never give her the wrong guidance seemed to give Abhi some pause...and it seemed to like he was about to bluntly tell her that Aman isn't right for her if Amma hadn't interrupted them.
He definitely would have, but phir drama kahan se aayega😆 and now, he has delegated that task to Mommy raizada because daddy taizada se promise jo kiya hain, Meera se na milne ka...😳 see, this sets him apart from other self-sacrificng heroes.
Seems like the show is on the track to play out these MUs of Amma and Meera's dad about Abhi-Meera being in each other's rooms😕
Ab toh khullam khulla discussion hoga, lol...I will love it 😆 its funny coz at this point they arent even actually together...lol. It gives me sadistic pleasure to watch amma and daddy raizada trying so hard to get their very obedient kids do the right thing, but yeh dono still find a way to get together with each other...😳
Precap and the sangeet BTS now make sense...Abhi's gonna constantly keep urging Meera's mom to tell her that Aman isn't right for Meera😆
Show waalon, aur kitne din Abhi ko itna depressed dikhaaoge?😕 Give the guy (and us) a break, man.
I'm guessing this will drag on till the end of next week, at the very least
