On Sunday, C. Joseph Vijay took the oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The ceremony was graced by the presence of his family, and notably, actor Trisha Krishnan. Rumored to be in a relationship with Vijay, Trisha made a striking appearance in a vibrant blue saree, radiating smiles throughout the event. She also extended a warm greeting to Vijay's mother, Shobha Chandrasekhar, upon their arrival to their seats in the front row.

At the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, Trisha was observed warmly greeting Vijay's mother upon her arrival, and the two shared a brief hug before settling into their seats. Trisha's mother, Uma Krishnan, was also in attendance with her.

Vijay's parents were at the venue, visibly overjoyed and emotional as they watched their son reach a political milestone in his first elections, a victory achieved two years after founding the TVK. Shobha voiced her strong confidence in her son's new position, saying, “Vijay will lead this well; I have full faith in him.” Coincidentally, the event took place on Mother's Day, a fact that several family members and supporters pointed out.

Vijay’s oath as CM

In his first speech as Chief Minister, Vijay declared the beginning of a new era of governance dedicated to "real secularism and social justice." He stated that a fresh, new governance had commenced, ushering in an era of genuine, secular, social justice. His cabinet colleagues, Adhav Arjuna and KR Arunraj, pledged that the TVK would provide transparent governance.

Trisha and Vijay are a beloved on-screen couple in Kollywood, having starred together in popular films like Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008).
