She was sleeping peacefully in her cosy bed, hugging her teddy monkey tightly, and her Barbie doll laying on her side- dreaming of some fairy land, where she and her sweet little companions were playing, roaming around freely through the bushes, big garden- full of red and yellow roses, her favourite. Suddenly, she saw a tree full of chocolates. A stem was bended downwards with a chocolate fruit almost in her reach. She tip toed to pluck the fruit. She was about to do so but... "Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to Maya... Happy Birthday to you...!! "She heard her Mama humming the birthday jingle close to her ear in a sweet loving voice. "Happy Birthday my sweetheart... muaahhh.." and she pecked a gentle kiss on her chubby cheeks. "Maya.. come on Bachche... get up!! "Maya smiled but was lazy, she wanted to sleep a little more. "Baby, get up... today's a special day... my angel's b'day... come on get up fast... we have to go out to buy your gift and Mama has to do a lot of preparations for your party... chalo... get up fast!! "Madhu said lovingly caressing her face. "No! nawww..!!" Maya hid her face under the teddy, "Aww... come on my sleepy head! Get up darling!! "No response from Maya. " Ok then! I'll tell your Papa to not to send any gift for her lazy princess... She is in no mood to celebrate her birthday today... OK!!" "No Mama!! Dare you say this to Papa... See, I'm awake... and I'm going to get ready!!" Maya immediately jumped out of the bed. Madhu chuckled "That's like my little angel!!!" "No!! I'm Papa's little angel!!" Maya declared proudly and ran to the bathroom. Madhu smiled, "She is a complete replica of you RK.. Ek dam Akkdu !!"
Maya, she was the daughter of RK- Madhu, the symbol of their love. The love that faced a lot of troubles, obstacles and emerged out as the true winner and Maya was the reward blessed by the God. Maya was pampered a lot by RK. When she was a few months old, Rk used to take off from his shoots to spend quality time with his princess. And today, it was her 5th birthday.
After few minutes, "See Mama, I'm ready." Madhu turned to see her angel in a beautiful red dress. "PAPA's ANGEL is ready!!" Maya stressed on the caps to tease her Mama. Madhu and Maya always used to end up quarrelling on this topic. Maya felt very happy on teasing her Mama. Madhu knew it very well but she always used to give fake angry looks which made her little angel happier. She did the same again. "OK... OK! Papa's angel... shall we leave or you are in a mood to stay back here??" Madhu said. "No! I'll come!!" and Maya ran fast as if her Mama would leave her in real. Madhu smiled and went behind her downstairs.
While going downstairs, Bittuji called Madhu, "Good Morning Bhabhiji, as you told me, I have cancelled all the shoots for today. "Thanks Bittuji. By the way, where are you?" she asked. "On the way. " "Did you wish Maya?" she asked. "He Bhagwaan... I again..." Bittuji got a shock. "...forgot to wish her... Now, you are gone Golu Uncle!!" Madhu completed his sentence with a giggle. Bittuji came running. Till then they had completed their breakfast. Bittuji was about to enter the hall when he collided with Maya. " Ohh... I'm sorry beta... I thought to wish you in personal that's why I..." Bittuji started giving excuses. "Lying... I know, you again forgot my birthday... You always tell a lie Golu Uncle!" Maya pouted. "You'll get your punishment this time..." Maya said. "And what is it?" Bittuji asked curiously. "Maya! Stop it dear! He is elder to you beta...!" Madhu interfered. "No! he'll get punished... Golu uncle, you have to carry me inyour arms the whole day. I'll not walk at all. And yout time starts now!!!" Maya declared. "Whole day??" Bittuji exclaimed. "Bittuji, get an appointment with your doctor. You'll need him for your hands by this evening." Madhu mocked.
It was quite a busy day. The whole day went in purchasing gifts, toys, chocolates for Maya. And Bittuji, being loyal, followed Maya's punishment, carrying her in his arms in the malls. In the evening, the entire Mansion was decorated like a castle- Maya's castle and she being the princess. Everything was just according to her wish like every year. Guests started arriving. All her friends were busy playing with her. Evening was going simply perfect- full of music, dance, and fun. But Maya was waiting it to end. "Mama, when will this party get over?" Maya whispered in Madhu's ears. "Why darling? Didn't you enjoy? Did we miss something?" "No! I just want to go to my room." Madhu understood the reason. Within few minutes, she managed to wrap up the party.
In the room, "Mama, where is it??" Maya shouted while searching among her gifts. "You told me, like every year, Papa has sent a gift for me... Where is it Mama??" "Here it is!!" Madhu handed over the gift to Maya and sat next to her. "Yaayy... What is it Mama?" "How do I know baby, Papa has sent it for you na!!' Madhu said. Maya opened it in excitement... "Photo!!!" Maya exclaimed. "It's Papa and me Mama... Hai na... Mama, see..." Madhu saw it with teary eyes. It was a photo frame of RK with his 5 months old angel. "Chalo... now, it's time to go to sleep... its too late baby." Madhu said while taking the frame back from Maya. "No! I'll put it back tomorrow." Maya said.
It was 2 a.m. Madhu was still awake. She took the frame from Maya's embrace. Maya had slept with it hugging it tightly. Madhu stared at it, stood up from the bed and sat on the rocking chair lying nearby. She rested her back on the chair, keeping the frame close to her chest and closed her eyes.
**FLASHBACK **
"Promise me Madhu... Promise me... you'll take care of her... Promise me, you'll never let her cry... Promise me... you'll fulfil all her wishes... Promise me Madhu!!" RK asked. He was lying on the hospital bed, breathing his last moments. Madhu was holding his hand tightly. "I can't do it RK... without you, I can't!!" she cried. "Please don't leave me RK!!" "I don't want to, Madhu... but, my PACK UP time is near... Now, you have to live for Maya... She is our dream Madhu!!!" Madhu started crying badly. "No Biwi! I still hate your tears..." RK smirked. "Madhu, I want to hear it from you one last time..!" "I LOVE YOU RK... I LOVE YOU" Madhu sobbed. " I LOVE YOU TOO AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU... BIWI!!"
**FLASHBACK END**
A tear rolled down her cheek. She opened her eyes. Suddenly, she felt a hand caressing her hair. "RKK..!!!" she whispered. Madhu stood up and turned to face her love, her life, RK. "You again cried na??" RK smirked. "Yes! Because it's my birth right!!" she smiled. "Let me wish my angel first..." RK went near the bed and bent down to see his princess sleeping peacefully. "Happy Birthday my sweetheart...!!!" RK smiled. "I wish I could tell her how much her Papa loves her..." Madhu eyes filled with tears. "She missed you a lot today but didn't say a word..." and a tear rolled down. RK tried to touch Maya's angelic face but stopped in midway. "Achcha... show me, what gift you've given to her on behalf of me this year??" RK tried to change the mood. Madhu showed him the photo frame she was holding. RK stared at it, smiled with wet eyes, unnoticed by Madhu. "Biwi, I've to celebrate my princess's birthday right now... and you've to dance with me!!" RK declared. "But RK... dance... and now... she is sleeping... she will awake on hearing the music!!" Madhu said worriedly. "Don't worry Biwi! She'll not... because, the music will be heard only by her Mama- Papa..." Rk smirked. "Take a deep breath and listen to it..." Before she could get anything, he took her hands in his and twirled her around.

He twirled her around and she twirled, completely lost in his gaze. And they ended up in RK pose. They stared in each other's eyes deeply. She slowly stood up and rested her hands firmly on his shoulders. They were so close to each other. Her eyes filled with tears. "Why did you leave me RK?" She asked in a sobbing voice. "Stop crying Madhu... You know na... How much I hate your tears." RK said lovingly. "You yourself gave me these tears and now complaining!!" she cried. "I AM SORRY MADHU..!!!" RK said sadly. She hugged him tightly and cried, "Why RK... Why did you leave us? Not a single moment goes when I don't miss you... Why RK... Why did you do this? Why you left me like this... all alone!!!" She cried badly. "I HAVEN"T!" RK said. She opened her eyes in exclamation and broke the hug to face him. "I HAVEN'T AND WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU MADHU!! You are not alone. I'll never leave you alone!" and he took her hand in his and place near her heart. "I am here Madhu! In your heart and will always be there..." He smiled. "And as I have always told you, your tears hurt me..." hearing this, she quickly wiped her wet eyes with the other hand.
"Close your eyes!" he said. "NO!!!" she immediately answered back. "The moment I'll close my eyes, you'll go away... No... I'll not... I'll not close them!!!" She cried. "Madhu, I said close your eyes!" he said firmly. Madhu closed them. "What do you see?" "YOU!!" she smiled. "You'll always see me like this and I'll always make you smile like this" RK smiled. "I LOVE YOU MADHU AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!" "I LOVE YOU RK... I LOV..." she stopped when she opened her eyes. "RK!!" she called his name searching around to see him. Then she smiled and went near the window and looked up in the sky.
"I LOVE YOU RK!! Yes... You'll never leave me RK!!" and she turned to look at her hand that was resting on her chest. "...Because you're here... you're here... in my heart!! You and your love will always be alive within my heart- supporting me throughout my life. RK, my heart will always beat for you and will go on till my last breath..." And she looked up in the sky and smiled at the star that was shining brightly and smiling at her assuring her to be with her always till her HEART GOES ON...
