Reports around Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar’s marriage have once again grabbed attention online after fresh claims suggested trouble in their relationship. Over the last few months, speculation around the couple’s personal life has continued to surface, with many noticing Mouni attending events and public appearances alone. While there has been no official confirmation from either Mouni or Suraj regarding separation or divorce, the latest report has added fuel to the ongoing rumours surrounding their marriage.

A recent report by Vickey Lalwani now claims that Mouni and Suraj have not officially divorced each other but have allegedly been living separately for the past six months. The report further suggests that one of the reasons behind the alleged crack in their marriage is Mouni’s growing popularity and public recognition. Drawing a comparison with Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s film Abhimaan, the report states that Suraj reportedly struggled with constantly being identified as “Mouni Roy’s husband” while accompanying her in Mumbai.

The report quotes the journalist saying, “Mouni Roy's long distance marriage with Dubai based businessman Suraj Nambiar is over. The longing has disappeared, the passion has evaporated and the fights have escalated. Barring a miracle, the two of them are not getting back together.”

It further adds that the couple has allegedly not been staying together for the last six months and that Mouni has also been shifting residences in recent times. The report also points out that in hindsight, the actress had been attending social gatherings and industry events alone since October 2025, which reportedly sparked curiosity among those close to the couple.

The journalist also claimed that despite rumours of divorce doing the rounds, the couple has not yet filed for separation legally. “How Mouni managed to keep her break up off the media's prying eyes may give her some brownie points but the journalist now also has it that Mouni has also been talking to a couple of lawyers. If things proceed fast, a counselling session awaits her and of course, Suraj as well. So yeah, they haven't applied for divorce as some mediapersons have reported, at least not yet,” the report stated.

Referencing the emotional conflict explored in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s classic film Abhimaan, the report suggested that while Suraj may be financially successful, he reportedly struggled with the constant public attention directed towards Mouni. Before marrying Suraj Nambiar in 2022, Mouni Roy was previously linked to actors Gaurav Chopra and Mohit Raina. The actress, however, has largely kept her personal life private over the years and rarely addressed relationship rumours publicly.

Meanwhile, amid all the speculation surrounding her marriage, Mouni requested the media to not spread 'false narratives' and further requested for privacy.
