The story is on taken up from the show with the memory loss track from the point where Maaneet is stranded in the hotel. Maan angry with Geet for the way she behaved with him decides to show her who is the boss. But the rain and the allure of Geet add to his intoxication and he ends up making love to her. The next day he is harsh towards Geet whom he believes is his secretary who is married. Back in KM sans Geet he gets to know about his marriage. But he refuses to acknowledge the relation. He is forced to let Geet remain with him due to Dadi's illness which is part real and part fake. With Dadi's manipulation they are back to sharing a room. As atonement for another burst of undeserved accusation, Maan promises to fulfil one wish of Geet's every day. Through these wishes Geet tries to revive Maan's memory but in vain. But it does increase Maan's awareness of Geet. This irritates Maan and he fights against the attraction. Geet refuses to let go of hope and thru challenges and tricks tries to hold on.
During their camping trip to lakeside Maan makes love to Geet again on her request. Seeing that Maan is not angry with her the next day Geet is filled with hope that their life will get back to normal. She is shattered when Maan proposes to continue with their intimacy until they stay together as husband and wife. Geet declines and Maan is determined to sway her decision. To add to her woes, Geet is stalked by someone. Considering the way things are between them, Geet does not reveal this to Maan. Maan gets to know about this and becomes angry with Geet for keeping secrets from him, even more so when he learns that Mahindra her friend and their client knew about the stalker. Maan refuses to assist her and leaves for an overseas meeting. He seeks the help of the police to help Geet and keeps tabs on the progress of the case. Finding an opportunity to nab the stalker while Maan is away, Geet tricks the stalker and he is caught. Though Maan tries to reach back in time for the action, he is unable to do so. He becomes angry on seeing Geet's dependence and friendship with Mahindra. Mahindra himself is in love with Geet.
Maan accuses her of trusting Mahindra more than him and playing hot and cold with him. During the confrontation Geet accuses Maan of treating her like a w***e and in reflex of hearing her call herself one, he raises his hand on her. Daadi witnesses this and is shocked with Maan's behaviour. Maan repents the violence and is forgiven by Geet. Geet shifts to the outhouse. Thru the CCTV installed the Geet's misery is revealed to Maan...
His drew in a deep agonised breath on seeing the angry marks of his fingers on her soft creamy cheeks. Turning away he slammed his hand against the cot wanting to punish himself for his crime.
"Maan, no..." Geet held his hand before he could cause injury to himself.
"Why?"he asked harshly, questioning not just her but his own actions.. ..the man he had turned into. He had never raised his hand on a woman. "Why?...why? " his voice hoarse with the ache in his throat.
"shh... don't stress yourself... let go..." she placed his hand on her cheek and repeated "It doesn't hurt."
Then cupped the side of his face with her free hand, "You hurt me more when you hurt yourself." Her eyes shimmering with unshed tears, she turned her face slightly to touch her lips to his hand, giving him the forgiveness he craved.
The darkness of the night added to the loneliness... there was no stars to keep her company tonight... she felt as if she was back to being the old Geet ,lonely desperate ... she had forgotten what it was like to be alone... the knowledge that her family was just a call away didn't relieve the desperation that came with the solitude... may be it was the hopelessness that her life was slipping away from her... She felt so incomplete...
