Part 1: Forbidden desire
Who does she think she is? A slip of a girl ...showing attitude to me...ME , MAAN SINGH KHURANA. He thought about the times she argued with him ...and today, she dared to point her finger at him! Such disrespect! ...from a mere employ...no, not an employ by the way his family treated her...the freedom she enjoyed in his house and office. Just because she claims to have saved his life. Now it seems she is not satisfied with the preferential treatment she got from his Daadi, she seemed to demand it of him too...
He stared broodingly at the drink he held in his hand. As he swirled the glass, light caught in the whirls of the amber liquid, reminding him of a pair of tear sparkled eyes that looked at him with expectation...as if she was searching for something in his eyes...damn he hated this uncertainty...this amnesia, that crippled his memories.
He would never acknowledge even to himself that her presence filled him with a sense of longing...as if something was missing from him...and her touch send his pulse racing... why did his mind wander towards her on sleepless nights, why did she haunt his dreams when he finally managed to sleep? She was married and he believed in the sanctity of marriage. He hated this attraction he felt for a married woman! Why the hell couldn't she say with her husband? Where was he anyway? She probably misplaced him too as she did with the office files...she couldn't manage a single thing properly without making a mess of it!! But had no qualms about throwing an attitude! Arguing with the boss and today!!...his rage steadily increased as he thought about their fight...she had the audacity to bend down his finger and ...and...he pushed himself away from the table...it was high time Mz. Geet realized who she was dealing with...just because he was against violence against woman didn't mean he would tolerate disrespect from a mere employ...yes that was what she was to him and that too an inept one. Anger lengthened his strides.
It had started to rain...good! He weather perfectly suited his mood! He knocked on the door of her suite, but got no answer. He pushed it open not willing to let go of his anger until he confronted her. But she was not in the room.
"Where the hell is she?" he muttered and then found her in the balcony, dancing with the rain drops! She cupped her hands to capture the droplets and then threw them up again, scattering them. Her musical laughter rang out. He was mesmerized by the sight of her, her fresh face tilted upward to invite the rain drops on it, her eyes closed in pleasure...then she spread her arms upwards and twirled in the rain...here was someone who reveled in the elements of nature...
"Geet!" he murmured her name, so softly that even his ears couldn't hear it. But she did ...as if she didn't need voice to hear him calling her...and opened her warm chocolate eyes to look at him. A smile of absolute pleasure and welcome added to her beauty, pulling him towards her. Her hands that dropped, stretched towards him in invitation.
"Maan"she said like it was the most natural thing in the world for him to be with her, to see her drenched in the rain, her clothes clinging to her like second skin. Desire flashed thru' him, moving him forward...his reason for seeking her out completely forgotten in the seductive lure of her.
Lightning flashed and she homed into him, wrapping her arms around him and holding on to him tight, her ears seeking the calming beat of his heart. His arms enfolded her on their own account, a feeling so familiar that he wondered about it. His hand moved thru' her wet tresses, igniting himself while trying to soothe her. A need so intense engulfed him, yet a part of him hated himself for lusting after a married woman. He bend his head and kissed her with a combination of passion and rage, wanting to hurt her for making him feel this way. As he deepened the bruising kiss, she opened herself to him and kissed him back with a reckless ardor, pressing herself closer to him. He suddenly let her go pushing her away to look at her with intense eyes. She lifted her hand to cup his face and a thread of memory flashed, disappearing before he could grasp it. With her touch she tried to calm him and invited him to touch her again, for she was his. He closed his eyes, breathing hard, trying to free himself of the temptation she presented.
"Maan." She breathed. There was such depth of love in the sound of his name on her lips that he opened his eyes to look at her. Geet stood on her tiptoe and touched her lips to his in a feathery caress, like the wings of a butterfly. Her eyes were luminous with love and longing. With a groan of misgiving but a need too strong to resist he took over the kiss. Her mouth was like velvet soft, so soft. Slowly he teased her lips apart, feeling them quiver and open for his tongue to ease within. Her eyes closed and she clung to his shoulders. His one hand moved to the back of her neck to tangle itself in her hair and the other moved down to draw her intimately against him, to make her aware of his desire that she aroused. She reciprocated by moving her hips against his with a sensuality that she had deprived herself off since his accident and sighed in surrender. He swung her up into his arms and carried her into the room. Striding across to the bed, he lowered her to her feet looked at her, his gaze intense as it roamed over her.
"I hate the way you make me feel Geet . I hate you but I cant fight this attraction anymore...I want you." He bit out, his voice low and harsh. " Maan" she swayed towards him as though pulled by a magnetic force. He gripped her by the waist and caught her to him tightly. "I cant stop myself..." he uttered as he crushed her against him, molding her body firmly against him. She felt the flaming heat of her body, thru' her soaked clothes and an answering burning ache spread thru' her. He claimed her mouth for another burning kiss , turning her bones to fluid so that she clung to him for support, her hands wound around his neck. He released her mouth to trail kisses down her neck, his lips spreading warmth as it explored her. A gentle tug and the doori of her salwar was undone. She shivered as he pulled the zipper down, exposing her back to the night's air. But soon the warmth of his hands drove away the cold. Geet put her hand on his chest , touching him thru' his shirt. Then with sure hands she unbuttoned his shirt to let her hand dive inside to touch his pounding heart. With a groan, he pressed her backward so that they fell on to the bed and he covered her body with his.
