Hi friends...
As I come here each day expecting a RBO come back.. as it salvages the damage and trots slowly back to its feet I wish to speak my heart...
My association with this forum has not been very long, but I have made so many friends, in that short span, that I will never be able to disassociate myself away from here ever... I come back again and again for ShaNak and my friends... their intelligent posts, wacky one liners, to peppy talks and even healthy bickering... It is like having a second family... I sigh as I read the FF, SS, OS, Poetries... and wonder why the hell are we not in the run for producing a soap of our own... The VM makers, the siggi makers... so much talent... On this note I wish to contribute something too...
This is a dedication to -Manita- whose constant assurance and persistence gave me the courage to post my FF here amongst such talent! I hope that you will like my feeble efforts and love me too in the same way as you do my other talented friends... I also wish to add here that I could never join the leagues of you friends.. but would love to show them that all of us have real good ideas.. RBO can be led up to another golden path... like in the old...
A little more about my FF. I was entranced by love itself when I began my stint in writing. Am no pro.. but like to dwindle with my pen and transform my thoughts occasionally onto paper. Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice have always entranced me in a classic way... And the picturization of this novel played by Mathew Macfadyen and Kiera Knightly leave me speechless every time I see them... just like ShaNak... I had written a story way back in 2007 when I had been inspired by P&P on totally different characters... But today I was encouraged by Mani, to create a FF on ShaNak and I think of no other story than P&P.. So I adapted P&P keeping ShaNak in mind... a little older and mature ShaNak... Hope you like it as much as I love creating it for you...

Prologue
Pride and Prejudice (Khanak-Shantanu)
Dr. Shantanu Khandelwal 30 years is a well known Cardiac surgeon in Mumbai. Against his parents' wishes, he had taken up medicine and proved himself to his parents by having a name in his field in a short span of time. The only thing that bothers his family is that he is now is more cynical and even more angrier and detached towards life. Sunil and Madhavi Khandelwal his parents are in constant worry as to how will they bring their younger son back to living his life. Years ago he had been in love while studying medicine. The girl was his sister-in-law's sister, Natasha who was studying medicine too along with him. Fate played a bad role and Natasha died in a car accident. Ever since Shantanu refused to have anything to do with the female clan. He continued studying and became even more of a brute and a stranger to the outer world but becoming a Cardiac surgeon of repute...
Khanak Khanna 26 years is an Interior Designer and at a young age has her own flourishing business and also helps her father who is a builder and well known in the business circles as Govind Khanna and her mother Radha Khanna. She is presently living in Delhi where she does business with her close friend and architect Manav Mehra who is in love with life! Anything that is female and moving attracts his attention. But his views for Khanak are totally different than what his image portrays. For him she is inspiration and just a dear dear friend nothing more. And most importantly he knows that Khanak Khanna's heart lies elsewhere.. She had lost it to one boy now a man eve since she had been a teenager. But pride kept her from opening her mouth and she refused to talk about it. But Manu had known and for her sake kept quiet. And he does not wish to tell her that he secretly loves Khanak's cousin Maahi Khanna who is also in the same field as Khanak and helps her often.
Fate brings Pride and Prejudice close together and plays cupid...
