After Uyi Amma’s massive success, Laikey Laika makers plan special song for Rasha Thadani

Rasha Thadani and Abhay Verma starrer Laikey Laika is reportedly set to get an additional song featuring Rasha Thadani ahead of its release. The move is said to be part of the makers’ promotional plans, with the team looking to build on the popularity of Rasha’s recent music success.

The film has been generating attention through its digital marketing campaign, which has introduced Rasha and Abhay as the leads of the romantic drama. The shoot has reportedly been completed, while the team is currently working on post production.

According to an industry source, those who have watched portions of the film during post production have responded positively to the lead pair’s performances. However, the makers are also believed to be considering the impact that music can have on a film’s reach.

The source said, “Whoever has watched the film during post production has said that loved Abhay and Rasha performances. However, in a day and age where music also plays an important role in Bollywood cinema and considering Rasha has had a hit unlike any other in her generation, the makers want to use that in their stride and hence one more song is being planned to be shot separately which can work to increase the reach of Bollywood cinemagoers.”

Rasha recently gained attention for Uyi Amma, which became widely popular and reportedly crossed 600 million views on YouTube. The song’s reception has added to expectations around her upcoming projects. 

Meanwhile, Abhay has also been receiving attention following his work in Safed Sagar. The actor has several projects lined up, including King and JC.

Rasha is also expected to appear opposite Vir Hirani, son of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, in another upcoming project. With Laikey Laika, she will be seen sharing screen space with Abhay in a story centred on their characters’ relationship.

The details of the proposed song, including its genre, music team and shoot schedule, are currently being kept under wraps. The makers are reportedly planning to film the additional track soon as they prepare the project for release.
