Are you liking it? Rant about RARKPK!!!

During the whole movie they solved the issues that weren't even there in the first place.

How are people even liking it... It is filled with Old songs as if they have run out of original music and are forced to use old tunes to keep it good and interesting.

Alia and Ranveer have no chemistry. Alia looked gorgeous is the main lead obviously, and Ranveer is unwatchable in all the scenes he is showing off his chest. It is a big no for a male lead in a Bollywood romantic movie to do this and it just kills the romantic vibe. He was good in the scenes that required him to be serious. He is same in all of his movies... he jumps from one movie to another since Ram Leela.

To not even talk about the ridiculous bra scene... I think it was KJos fantasy to do that.... Women wear bra, and men don't have to wear bras to show respect to women.

And why can we not let people have their own morals and values. The ladies during the movie didn't show to Alia that they were oppressed but she started bringing it out. Bad writing I guess. And then solving those issues was the whole plot...

I pushed myself to enjoy it.

Such an overhyped movie, the script was so poor and on top the antagonist (Jayas) acting was so damn lame and outdated. I kept waiting for her character to do something but she was really useless, kinda shows that kjo just forced her character into the script just to replicate Yash Raichand. Just like he forced a song in Kashmir out of no where just to copy Yash Chopra songs which was again a fail. I kept thinking of the meme that RS cant do romance as all we see is lust on his face lmaooo. Both Rocky and Rani had no depth in thr lovestory just lust as all they wanted to do was bang each other. Kjo recycled his own movies to give us this unoriginal script, very disappointing. Even Ayans unrequited love had more feel than Rocky- Rani. Many people went to watch the film wanting to love it because we’ve been deprived of good movies but sorry I aint biased. Anyone could’ve pulled off Alia’s role, RS still gave a somewhat better performance but the script let me down big time. And forgot sake stop with the 80s and 90s songs ghussaoed every 5 mins. Was expecting an epic lovestory and found recycled thrash.

If most people are liking then it’s obvious that the movie is good and you are in minority. I am not anyone’s fan here but movie was very enjoyable and entertaining. Went with in laws and they enjoyed it as well. Ranveer is absolutely amazing as Rocky! Some of the lines are terrific.

That’s is the feeling most are getting. Is movie flawless?? Absolutely not! Are there wth moments - yes there are!!
but overall movie and characters have done their job, it’s an entertaining Bollywood movie.

I stopped reading the rant after you wrote Ranveer is same is all his movies.

Nothing from the promos suggested that RRKPK was any good, neither the songs, the performances..nor the chemistry..From the promos we understood that KJO,Pritam,RS,Alia have done far better work in their other films.

When you try to hype your favourites mediocrity..the aura slips.

YJHD..took RK and DP's stardom up to the stratosphere.RK was seen equal to the Khans..DP,over took established stars like Katy,PC,Bebo..It was the biggest non Khan opening till then.For the tabloids-it was only RK DP,Kat for years.They made so much money out of them.

Do you see anything close to that happening? What is Kjo and his stars going on about?They look silly.

the movie was good but the preachy parts were annoying, weren't needed, the guilt over bra etc, the fat sister trope etc. the only part that wasn't boring was the singing one, because the old songs are so enjoyable. the movie was more enjoyable when it didn't take itself too seriously
