It is just a pure entertainment movie donot take it too serious then only you can enjoy... There are WTH moments and also Wow moments... It is just a typical masala movie frankly you can enjoy with popcorn without keeping alot of brain to understand 😆

Coming to ranveer, he is the life line of the movie hands down... He literally carried the movie on his shoulders 😎😆

I think what was wrong was she not accepting that she mistakenly misbehaved in heat of anger till late in the movie. but what she did wasn’t wrong because it wasn't a conscious reaction but an unconscious reaction. When you’re born and brought up in a family where feminism and equality is promoted, where you have always been given equal rights and everyone has strong opinions about empowerment, having regressive ideas thrown into your face triggers you unexpectedly. That’s what happens with Rani, she gets triggered because she has never witnessed that kind of regressiveness and not done anything about it.

I’ll share a personal story, so my sisters fiance he is a great guy and he has an amazing family too, honestly much better than my extended relatives as all of his fam are v caring. They dont even let their own daughter travel in cabs as there is always a car or a male member in family to chauffeur her. And they treat my sister the same. Whereas me and my sister at our place have never had such habits, we have been v self reliant because, situations! What they call care, is a privilege to us! Because my parents have always been ok with the idea of let your kids slog a bit.

So Recently we were having this discussion about their room interiors and my sister had expressed it to him multiple times that she wants a tv in the room as we have this habit of watching shows/movies regularly like any modern adult of present times. In our family movies have always been like a form of art that we truly love. Books, movies, newspapers, like my family adores all this. So a no tv is like a crisis.

But at his place their dadi has made a rule that there will be only one tv in the house that’s in the living room and he expressed even after marriage they don’t install a tv in their room. When he said it again i was quiet for a bit then my sis argued a little that why cant she get something installed in her room as it will be her room as well but he was also adamant. At one point he said why do people watch tv as it stops them from bonding with eo and that is their reason to not let all family members have individual tvs, i told him that its not like you cant bond over tv as a couple, you can really bond well on common shows and it’s not true that you cant bond over watching tv together. And in the heat of the moment i told him that but your sister and jiju also watch, they were telling me. He went silent for a second😂 And i felt i erred big time…My intention of saying was not to make a comparison with his sister but the fact that a girl has to argue over if she is allowed to put a tv in her room or not after marriage in today’s time was kind of a trigger for me. I felt i went kinda out of line because probably it wasnt my battle to be fought but my sister’s and she could have persuaded him somehow.

So yeah when you have never faced a certain kind of prejudice in your home and someone else imposes it on you, it’s a trigger.

I enjoyed it altogether. Thanks to some genuinely funny bits. Alia looked like a dream and Ranveer did the heavy lifting wrt the comedy.

But will I watch it again? No

Is it a good movie? No

Overtly preachy? Big yes

Moreover, I hated the open EMA shown right infront of the wife. No amount of preaching on domestic violence and Jaya's behavior can justify the old age extra marital affair when both have families at least to me.

Also too many social issues have been brought up just for the sake of it and it shows.
