Truly agree. This outpouring of love for him is overwhelming and as his fan we can’t express our happiness in words today. He stood tall ,vindicated against hate with his dignified silence. Love him and I hope he enjoy this moment like we are

Zeal,

I have a 2 part question for you.

1. SRK is everything what RW claims they want Indian Muslims to be. He's educated, works hard, makes his own money, pays taxes, supports a number of others. He's also extremely patriotic and secular within his family and outside while being a devout Muslim.

So what's the matter here?

Seems to me RW will never be satisfied unless he denounces his faith and his religious community.

2. Your problem with Pathan is it shows a Muslim as patriotic? It shows a Pakistani siding with India?

The sex symbol heroine is a Muslim character. There you go... Hindu womanhood kept sanskari.

Even the villain is not Hindu.😆

So what do you want Bollywood to do exactly? Denounce all Indian Muslims as traitors or enablers?

------

Very few claimed Bollywood was losing because of boycott. I was one the people vociferously arguing it was because of poor quality of films.

Pathan is laughably silly in parts.

It is succeeding because of a perfect storm of events.

People are genuinely sick of hatred spread by some on the right wing.

They're sick of being told what they can and cannot do in a democracy.

They were shocked at how a fellow citizen was treated despite his riches and influence. One who has NEVER, EVER spoken against India and has in fact proclaimed his love for India all over the world.

SRK is loved by a large chunk of the population.

Because of above 2 factors, he has in fact become a symbol of all that was warm and lovely about India.

Audience is ready to have some fun.

arnab is so vile ….he even turned a discussion on RRR winning at the golden globes into anti Bollywood anti Pathan nonsense

Like u can’t even appreciate something without bringing something else down and making it a hate fest…

I understand emotions of fans but it is triumph of YRF, SRK and Deepika's silence and restraint.

Their patience. They did not take the bait at all and maintained their cool and dignity.

I often wonder how Deepika could have spoken about how the slander in drug issue or dragging her in SSR case took a toll on her mental health or how she is made a meme online for discussing her depression. Yet she kept quiet.

How SRK, Gauri, Aryan, Suhana could have spoken about dragging Aryan in drug case or sleepless nights when Aryan was in jail for 30 days. Or how SRK could have spoken against fake communal propaganda against him or the lack of support he got from his political friends and betrayal, backstabbing by same media that sells their copies using him.

But they kept quiet. So did their families. Ranveer, Prakash Padukone, could have spoken for Deepika issue too, how it traumatised them. But they did not.

They did not take the bait. Their patience and biting their tongue got them this long awaited win.

I can see SRK fans feel overjoyed and emotional. These hateful targets backfire after a point as people want to support their idol, show haters a middle finger.

Aamir and Salman can get it too, provided they keep mouths shut. Especially the former, who could use advice of some image guru and some soft skills coach to teach him what to say, when to say and when to keep quiet.
