Well yes but I also feel like if it wasn’t srk and someone else, people wouldn’t have felt as personal abt it ….

A lot of films and celebs have been targeted by the boycott gangs and toxic media houses in the last 3 years especially after sushanths incident happened …

People almost believed half the crap that was being said in the media abt other celebs ….but it wasn’t the case with srk because somewhere even the non fans can see through the bs he was put through …

I agree it wouldn't work for Salman or Aamir. My point was it is not just about SRK the beloved celeb now. Yes, it's a major chunk about him, but he's also become a symbol beyond the man.

I am not a SRK fan but I am so happy for him! Tight slap to boycott people. Media made a mockery of his son's case. I felt so bad for them.

I am going to watch this movie and have booked my tickets for Saturday. And it's not that I wanted to watch this movie, but I am going to watch this just because I want to give it back to those boycott people.

Believe it or not, I was also irritated by the boycott trend and would have watched the fiim just so this boycott stuff is put to rest. Let people make their own choices..

But the turning point for me came after the movie release and the plot was revealed and once again Bollywood did it shit stuff!! I feel that old saying is true kutte ki dum kabhi seedhi nahi ho sakti(no I'm not calling anyone dog, for the foriegn biradri people it's an old proverb). Personally post knowing movie content it's a "boycott" from my side. Still I wouldn't ask others to do it.. just hope that everyone knows what's in it before going. So they make a conscious choice.

Boycott wasn't the reason why Bollywood or SRK movies were not working, it was because people were tired of the nonsensical and the repetitive stuff Bollywood was doing, people wanted change, and that's when digital OTT came along and content took precedence.

Look past the ardent fan or boycott glasses, for a neutral movie goer Pathaan is no different from any other Bollywood crap, as I saw many reviews rated it around 2-3 stars for being same old typical masala action film with over the top action scenes, this cancelling out the boycott trend is what working in it's favor.

As a SRK lover, am ecstatic that this happened!!! Just to see all these so-called Bhakts have been shown their place. SRK is the embodiment of Indian Cinema in a way no-one else is. There never will be another SRK & seeing the hellish few years (esp 2021) that he has had, people really were rooting for Pathaan to do well- And see how awesomely it is doing! If this isn’t the real test of Star-Power, nothing really is.

i think a lot of people had shitty 2021-2022 coming out of the pandemic was not easy!

I think people wanted to escape for a few hours and watch something that was enjoyable with a relatable well loved star, SRK. And, i think people also want to watch something that’s an ode to massy Bollywood movies.

I also think the positivity from the industry, where you had a salman doing a cameo, everyone just wishing well for the movie, and “not in your face” promotions ( I am looking at you Deepika!!) helped.

It feels good to just soak in all the love for SRK ❤️❤️❤️

I wonder if these journalists like Arnab or Sushil how their family members must be feeling today. I refuse to believe that their wives or daughters are not SRK fan. Did mah Pathaan help them also to stand upto their journalist spouses and smack the hate out of them. ☺️ Trying to imagine their lives shouting on tv against the man while their families might be buying tickets in black to watch the movie
