Yes it’s good that most south actors and technicians don’t fall for this shit of “ooh let’s trash Bollywood to make south look better”…the journalists keep egging them on to say controversial things or to trash Bollywood …. it’s irritating to watch that line of questioning….

Most technicians from South India have worked all over India and have friends and colleagues up north. The They are wise to the tactics of the media and won't play. Yesterday I was watching Baradwaj Rangan's interview with Malayalam script writer Syam Pushkaran (Joji, Kumbalangi Nights). He said as much. That Malayalam Industry always had strong writers but that it doesn't mean that it always creates content-oriented cinema. It's not right to hype us to put down Hindi cinema.

i went because after watching RRR, KGF and some south indian super star movies there was a particular itch from my side to cheer up Hindi main stream cinema.

My mother watched Fauji, she went to Doordarshan Bhavan for archives. Discussed episodes in the train. I grew up watching SRK, AK and Salman.

SK comes on Bigg Boss hence I don't miss him but we were thoroughly SRK deprived.

Boycott gang's main mudda is linking SSR with every movie release. I do not see the need to do so. Why can't the flag bearers of justice be questioned or targetted

I also believe that any film, web series, daily soap can get their audiences if it is scores a 8 to 9/10. The makers need not promote, we will watch.

PS : I do have my reservations about the story, narrative etc.

You know how some of the srk fans who are also LW will answer your first question, they will say it's because of Modi ke aage Badshaah jhuk nahi raha that's why RW hates him.

Then there are centralists who are tilted more towards right wing because of this jhukna backchodi. This is the spectrum where most of the people posting here are like Minion, Nathu, NM, Monali and myself would come.. also people who lie in this spectrum got frustrated with constant extreme RWers boycott nagging and that's why this time they tilted towards the other side and were either planing to or watched the film.

And then there are extreme RWers, who I don't think anyone here is, who believe in the boycotting stuff.

I can tell you where centralists and RWers agree upon is the obvious dislike towards Bollywood for making agenda driven movies like Tiger, Pathaan etc. There are many more such films where they would either show Pakistani Institutions in friendly light or sympathize with Pakistanis or belittle Indian Institutions.

As a SRK fan I know you would not agree with me but Bollywood including SRK indeed have been making movies as mentioned above and that's why there is dislike for these films among centralists and hatred from RWers.

RWers simply crossed the limits this time and went after stupid reason to boycott movie. Calling it stupid is just an understatement, really color controversy was so illogical. Kya hi bolu🤦‍♂️

While answer for your first question is that No.. no one wants SRK to denounce his faith or his religion it's his religion his choice.. but the a very basic ask of Centralists and RWers is that let's not to make agenda driven movies. 🙏

Now moving on to your 2nd question again it's you who is bringing in religion here, I have not once in any of my posts made against this movie brought in the religion.

And there is no issue with a patriotic Muslim fighting for his country.. SRK if he is playing a Muslim character and is doing what is expected out of a country citizen then kudos to that. 👍 The problem lies where they show that India needs a Sympathiser from an enemy nation for Indian Intelligence agency to solve a case, it comes across as if Indian agency isn't competent enough to solve the cases. Also they say movies in general movies are inspired from real life but in reality there isn't ever been a case about ISI agent or ex ISI agent supporting Indian intelligence agency. They are only known to supporting terrorists who killed innocent Indians.

Look in contrast the plot of a famous Pakistani movie made last yr.. where they highlight that taking help from a retired Pakistani officer of their own country was the only way to save their country.. against the Indian RAW Agent. Clearly movie makers showing love for their own country and their intelligence officers and showing their enemy as enemy, no enemy from within.

So my answer to your 2nd question is a question for you.. Forget religion, Why can't Bollywood or SRK make a film in this genre where enemy is shown from the enemy nation and only love for own nation and it's institutions is shown?
