This movie is a musical bonanza. Such brilliant songs from O.P Nayyar! This song has Joy Mukherjee twirling his guitar, ruing the fact that he cannot seem to find the love of his life among the bevy of beauties around, a theme oft visited in Nasir Husain's movies. In fact, a later movie, Kismet, has Biswajit twirling a guitar to a song that sounds suspiciously the same, even the lyrics - Lakhon hai yahan dilwale. Nevermind! Love this song, it has that feel-good melody, and the cuteness of Rafi 😃

Listened to Lakon hai yahan dilwale... it is a lovely feel-good composition too..

however, it feels like I have heard the tune before LB, in some foreign TV or cinema(don't remember)

Lakhon hain yahan dilwale is a pretty well-known number, I'm surprised you hadn't heard it before. About it seeming familiar- I think it maybe because it's "inspired" by this tune - Red River Valley which is an old-time classic.

Agree about Talat, his voice is so unique, never heard anyone quite like him. Still awaiting that thread on rare singers! 😃

I discovered this song recently on my playlist, that consists songs copied from my aunt's collection, who's a complete Old Bollywood music aficionado. Lata sings for Madan Mohan with lyrics by Rajinder Krishan. It is a beautiful song.

And this one- again from Kismet. I don't know how I forgot this, maybe because it's Mahendra Kapoor- I've never been a fan. It came out during the time O.P had a tiff with Rafi and Mahendra Kapoor benefited! 😊

Tumhari nazar kyon khafa ho gayi - Do Kaliyan (1968)

This movie features Neetu Singh as a child artiste and is a remake of the Hollywood classic Parent trap. Biswajit and Mala Sinha lip-sync to Rafi and Lata while Ravi provides music to Sahir's lyrics.

nice... didn't knwo Neetu was a child actor :D ..checked out a couple of songs from this movie for her..

Dil mein tujhe bithake, kar loongi main band aankhein - Fakira (1976)

Shabana Azmi admitted to crushing hard on Shashi Kapoor ( can't blame her 😳) and their chemistry is so evident in this song, that Jennifer K allegedly put her foot down firmly to her husband ever working with Shabana again!
Music and lyrics by Ravindra Jain and sung by Lata, the picturization is as funny as it is sexy - Iftekaar and Achla Sachdev wondering what their daughter is up to! 😆😉

..IDK if it's my mood but I found this video funny :p ..enjoyed songs and write-ups as always 😃
