Maybe his opinion changed in the last 20 years... or he doesn't like that this film got made... I doubt that his opinion will influence the interested audience

I did the same... Actually, I can understand his take but - imo - it wouldn't have needed to add the criticism... just declining the offer would have been okay.

I don't see the point of sequel of decades old movies, especially when they are not putting efforts in plot, acting or visuals

Neither do I... but it seems to suit a certain agenda of very different persons with a similar mindset (and - according to my own mindset - it helps to white-wash dirty money...of certain people I don't know, right?)

Besharam Buddha had no issues ruining the Iconic Don along with his son not once but twice. Kisi aur ke mehnat ke time inko Idealism yaad aa Jata hai aur sequel's/nostalgia yaad aa Jata hai.

I can understand that there are people who did not like Farhan using his father's (and Amitji's) work... interestingly - as a quasi 'outsider' to the Hindi filmindustry - I had no hard feelings relative to the remake - at that time... but now, I'm better in understanding certain feelings I encounter.
