Weekend topic for time pass as there is no CAS.

Why are Ahankara and Devi accepted but not KWK ? It's a very interesting question, isn't it ? 😆

There was a time I was really thinking why I can't accept KWK when I actually loved Ahankara. Was it because I liked more Ashkara than Ashwaki ? No not really. If I really disliked Ashwaki for Ashkara than I would have disliked Ashvi too. Then why this disliking for Ashwaki/KWK ? Did you guys ever thought about it ?

I think it's because of the characterization of KWK. Some will say again a bashing post on KWK. But who cares, I just want to know why you people like Ahankara and Devi but not KWK or why you like KWK but not Devi and Ahankara.

So as I said, KWK's character is itself so poorly written that we have no other choice than disliking her or for some of us hate her.

Ahankara was introduced as a strong character. She was strong even when Sushim used to torture her. She was mentally very strong and did not need to complain how much she suffered or show off what she did and did not.

She was the only female character which was written perfectly from the beginning to the end. It was the most brilliant female character from the show. And the actress brilliantly portrayed the role. She was graceful and elegant like a Princess should be. She didn't look like a barbie doll but had beautiful dresses. No heavy jewelries or makeup either.

Devi was introduced as a cute sweet girl, who once angry can fight back. She is the person who motivated Ashok. But unlike Ahankara she was also irritating at some points. She became illogical and her presence was a torture.

But both Ahankara and Devi never came between Ashok and his mission. They didn't show their obsessive love towards him. Their love for Ashok is selfless. Can we say the same about KWK ?

KWK also was introduced as a strong girl. She traveled a long way to free her father. 👏 After some time what happened ? Because of her, Ashok lost a lot of people in the battle. From that time we saw another side of her. The spoilt brat, the selfish girl. Then was added her obsession for Ashok. The world started revolving around her. Not only she herself was Me, Myself and I person but the rest of the characters were also chanting KWK, KWK, KWK. Even Ashok changed for her.

So why did the writers actually present Ahankara as the perfect character when she was just a fictional character ? Why did they present Devi quite likeable when she is supposed to be just the first wife of Ashok ? Why did they ruin KWK's character when she is supposed to be Ashok's love interest ? Shouldn't it be the other way ?

Another question, why did/does Ashok have better chemistry with Ahankara and Devi than KWK ? It's not even about the actresses acting skills that I am talking about. Ashkara had great bonding, Ashvi respect and understand each other and what about Ashwaki ? Even though they are in love with each other there is no such bonding or relationship between them.

I know many will disagree with me and argue with me but it's ok I just want to see why people actually like Ahankara and Devi but dislike KWK or vice versa.

I know some people after reading this post will tag me as Ashvi shipper or Ashkara shipper. 🤣 But I am not. To be honest, more Ashok is away from the ladies more I am happy. Because the only character I ship is Ashok. Though now even he pisses me off. I think that's also one of the reasons I dislike KWK. She changed Ashok into an useless Prince, a saasta Romeo.

Well I am neither Ashkara shipper nor Ashvi shipper. Infact I liked Ashwaki. The younger Ashok-Kaurwaki jodi. I liked them. Kaurwaki was introduced as an ambitious girl/princess who had an aim of freeing her father. She loved her father. She left her comfort zone for her parents, or her mother land. A trait which I love in humans.

Coming to Ashoka. He was focused on his ABN mission. His love for his mother and motherland really touched me. Both these individuals crossed each other's path and fell for each other. Still they were aware of their situations, their aims were the most important thing in their life.

Inshort "Ashok-Kaurwaki ke dil me pyar tha, Woh pyar aankho se jhalakta tha 😉😉😉, par dono pyar me andhe nahi the 😆"

I loved how Kaurwaki stood by his side at times of difficulty. But later on everything was changed.Kaurwaki did only 1 thing"Ashoka jaap" 😆...She hated her father, was not interested in anything other than Ashoka. Its something which I dont like.I cant accept such Kaurwaki.who is self obsessed and selfish . This kaurwaki is an example of self obsession. Who cant see anything other than herself, Ashoka...Baaki sab jaaye bhaad me. 😆..This is not love ...Sorry to say this .How can we accept her and love her...

Ashoka 's journey diverted from Akhand Bharat ka Nirman to Amar Prem Gatha 😆...I hate Kaurwaki for this 😆
And now I want to say this to all ladies of Ashoka-Paack Uppp!!!
Btw introduce yourself...😆

This is a really interesting topic MDS.We must look at it the POV of a neutral viewer.

Well,I started off as a SushKara shipper. It was the time when Ahankara was a grey shaded character.I liked her dynamics with Sushim. And he seemed to care for her too.
But that was till Justin 's wedding fiasco. After that,Sushim turned negative towards her and I shipped them no longer.

I still liked Ahankara's character a lot.She was smart, confident and strong.I also loved her friendship with Ashok.Though I never shipped AshKara but still AshKara track was handled very subtly and beautifully.Even her exit was so graceful.

When Kaurvaki entered the scenario,I know many people didn't like her.
As far as I have observed, some of them were AshKara fans (sorry). Some of them didn't like Reem.
But what made KVK earn all the dislike was her poor characterization. They made KVK so annoying during the Taxila track. Her character was written very badly.
However when they returned to PP,I found that KVK's character graph had improved. For that brief period,I shipped Ashwaki.I used to love their interactions. And I was actually looking forward to them post leap.

Post leap,we all know that KVK's character went to the point of no return. It went downhill. And Saumya's acting was not helping matters at all.Another point is that KVK was not needed at that time. She should have entered at a later phase in his life. And also the show became Ashok-KVK ki Amar prem kahaani post leap.

Devi was liked because she of her sweet nature and because she became the support Ashok needed at the moment. She also fitted into the story.
And I will say this that Kajol and Mohit had a better chemistry than Mohit-Saumya.

Here are my two cents!!!

Loved Ahankara mainly cos of the actress playing it. Tunisha was drop dead gorgeous , Graceful unlike weirdo Reem. Tunisha 's costumes were apt to the Mauryan period. She looked exactly like a royal gorgeous Princess. Her entry was Firey !! just like a Heroine. where as Reem, her acting was pathetic, she had a western accent in Historical. She could not utter shudh hindi properly. She was not graceful. . And she took lot of screen space in Taxila Even more than Ashok And cv's also tried to show her more intelligent than Ashok..She was getting all over the place, Even the montages too. One of the pathetic montage was she slitting Ashok's throat..What the f**kkk was that..So hate her the most.As she ruined beautiful CAS show.Which was getting 4 plus trps initially.Started getting below 2.5 trps after her entry..And during their long eye locks Sid himself seemed uncomfortable ND awkward!! Sid was not looking comfortable doing romantic scenes with her. That's what majority Sid fans feel. And I agree with them. And her obnoxious necklace which she gifted Ashok saying it was good luck..LOL it only brought bad luck to Ashok. After wearing it he went back TO PP.What did he get? Insults. He was thrown away from the kingdom was treated like a dirt. He was sent away from his kingdom for so many years...Such bad luck..Poor Ashok. 😵 So Hate kaurwaki Whole heartedly. 🤣
PS: I am talking only about Pre-leap not Post-leap.

I haven't watched Ahankara so can't comment on her.
When Devi was introduced as a chirpy talkative, bubbly gal,I actually liked her.Kajol also impressed me with her acting.

And in the very first scene between Ashok and Devi,I saw huge chemistry in them.

When she became Ashwaki shipper, I started disliking her.

But still there were certain scenes which made me like her again. For eg.,those scenes where kaurvaki used to feel disheartened and devi used to inspire her and tell her to never give up.I was actually liking Kaurvaki-Devi bond.

However, she irritated me again when she started interfering in Ashwaki's love life and got too much involved in them.

Friday episode scene was so good where she inspired Ashok to fight with his enemies and made him come out of his depression.

The best thing I like about her is she is always an inspiration of people around her, whether it's kaurvaki or ashok.

She has a strong and powerful personality and I am glad the cvs r not showing her as a doormat wife of ashok.

Coming to Kaurvaki, her character never interested me mainly because of Somya's poor acting. And when Somya started inproving, the cvs started butchering kaurvaki's character.

I don't want to waste my time writing about her but so far kaurvaki is the most poorly written lead character of indian television. In fact, she is the first lead character who is hated by many since day 1 of her entry.

Well here I 'll talk about characters only means cas characters only no offense to kajol and somya, 'll say what I felt about these cas characters
Ahankara- her character shaped slowly, at first people didn't like her, people started liking her slowly, at first when she was introduced she was this proud , arrogant princess, her relationship with ashok was also practical type, at first they didn't like each other much, slowly they started admiring each other, I started liking after lakhgruh burning scene, where she opposed against her father and sister and went on lecture about her uncle got veergathi they shouldn't disrespect him by taking revenge, there she earned my respect, a true princess indeed.she didn't even went with her sister thus risked her life, showed her loyalty there.ashkara friendship started from there and progressed gradually, even I started admiring their bond from there only.she lost everyone because of magadh, she knows her people were wrong and accepted the truth ,but still it's nt easy to accept everything at an young age, but she reacted maturedly here, and main thing was after all the tortures and loss she faced she was never vengeful , stood with ashok as a true Friend.
she was proud, beautiful , regal, arrogant, matured, loyal, she was one balanced character
Devi- personally I like historical devi

But here let's say about cas devi, she's anything but historical devi, I am nt a blind fan who accepts everything that throw on my face, infact I didn't like the way they portrayed devi, at first she was this bubbly ,matured, simple, sweet, full of life type,I liked that, I loved her bubblynes which was refreshing, and then she started getting on my nerves with her maniac ashwaki shipping , I really didn't like her there, there was no need to show her like that, other than that I liked her bonding with vitt and dharma, and I find her selfless, matured when necessary, she understands ashok well and motivates him whenever he felt low about himself, I liked her selfless love towards ashok without expecting much one really needs guts for this, for me she can be ashok's immense strength ,a true friend and a biggest support.

Kwk- it's cvs fault completely, they ruined kwk character from starting only, for me I started disconnect with her after taxilia massacre, where so many innocent people lost their lives because of her stupidity, if cvs really consider kwk as main lead dnt know y they wrote her character like this, for me kwk was over in taxilia only.

Just like VD style the ladies should pack up now. 😆 I always liked shows where one character is enough for the show. No love story is needed. CAS was one of them. Though Ahankara was in love with him but she wasn't always showing it off same with Devi. AshWaki ruined the show with their OTT love. That's the reason Ashkara and Ashvi are likeable but not Ashwaki.

Exactly KWK's goals were interesting when she was introduced. Slowly she started becoming irritating day by day. She had more that warrior side when she was a kid than now.

Thanks. True and it's easier to be a neutral viewer for a show like Ashoka than some other shows.

Even I liked Sushkara. Actually I liked both Sushkara and Ashkara. I think it's because of Ahankara's character. She suited with both the brothers.

I didn't like Reem. Be it Ahankara, Devi or KWK all of them disliked Ashok at first. But because of her acting it used to look so weird. The only time I actually liked Ashwaki was when she realized that Ashok wasn't a bad guy. He saved her and her father. That time Nayak also started becoming positive. That was actually the best time of Ashwaki. Overall the young Ashwaki were far better than the grown up.

for me... Mostly characterization of the character works for me.. \

Have not much to say about Ahankara... I was neither Ashkara or Sushkara fan but I admired ahankara... and her friendship with ashoka was treat to watch.. not their love story but the story of their friendship and the understanding they shared attracted me most...

both ahankara and devi had a certain dignity which KWK character lacks... No one likes mahan heroine.. but we actually search for the character with whom we could connect.. and i actually feel that Ahankara and devi looked to me more realistic with their flaws...

Lastly... Not ahankara, devi or kwk... i am here to see the life of my fav chakravartin ashoka samrat... so pls dvs spare us with some real histiry stuff as the show is on the verge to end,..😆

I didn't find the younger AshWaki's romance OTT or forced. Their interactions looked natural and in some scenes, enjoyable. Especially the scenes where Ashok connected with her on a greater depth, or where they simply bickered like schoolkids. I found a lot of their scenes cute and funny, and of course Reem's acting improved after the scene shifted back to Pataliputra. But she was loud and bossy in certain scenes which irritated viewers; and the blunders her character committed, prevented her from garnering sympathy amongst viewers.

Coming to Ahankara aka Tunisha, she was a class apart. Apart from being a better actress by miles, her character forged a connect with the viewers gradually over the course of time. The story went forward at it's own majestic pace, and Ahankara's arc achieved maturity along with it. So there you are, the reason why she had been so well-loved by viewers.

I'm unable to contribute much on Devi owing to the fact that I'd largely given CAS a miss in the first month after the leap.
