Laapataa ladies will always be in the list of my all time favorite movies. I loved Jaya but my favorite would be Phool Kumari because there are many women like Phool who are strong and courageous but are not appreciated much because they choose to depend on other people even though when needs arise they too can stand on their own feet and become independent. Phool was such a character. A woman who chose to live under her husband's shadow but when she got separated from him she didn't give up. Instead she worked in that small thela and started earning money with the hope that she'll meet her husband soon. That was a beautiful and strong character.

The movie is enjoyable... however, my esteem for Aamir got another blow, because:

This is not the only thing both have in common, also the character-design of the two husbands is equal in the short movie of the French filmmaker and LL and two scenes like having got kopied... the 2014 claimed register-certificate could well be a falsification...

However, this is not a reason to not find the movie to be a good film (which it is, indeed).
