Naagin 7 continues to remain one of the most talked-about supernatural dramas on Indian television, and now the popular franchise has introduced a fresh new face to add more excitement to the storyline. Actor Mohit Duseja has officially joined the show and is already grabbing attention for his character and screen presence.
After taking a year-long break from television, Mohit has now returned to the small screen with Balaji Telefilms’ Naagin 7. The actor will play Kapil, the younger son of a middle-class family that runs a printing press.
Speaking about his comeback, Mohit Duseja shared that returning to television feels extremely special for him after taking time away from continuous work schedules.
“It feels incredible — like coming back home,” Mohit said while speaking about his return to television. He further revealed that the break was entirely his decision, as he wanted to pause and focus on himself, both personally and professionally.
The actor explained, “I actually took that time off by choice. I was doing projects back-to-back, and I realised I needed to pause, realign with my creative vision, and figure out the path I truly wanted to take. I used that year to grow — diving into my fitness business, travelling, exploring ads and films, and experiencing life. For an actor, that adds so much to your craft.”

“It’s About The Value A Project Adds
While talking about joining Naagin 7, Mohit shared that his decision was never based on the length of the role but on the importance and value of the project itself.
“For me, it’s never about the length of a project — it’s about the value it adds. Naagin is the biggest TV franchise, and Balaji Telefilms is one of the biggest names in the industry. Being part of that is a win in itself,” he said.
The actor also spoke honestly about the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry and explained how even small opportunities can completely change an actor’s journey.
“Our industry is uncertain. Sometimes a 2-year show doesn’t give you anything, and sometimes even a small role takes you places you never imagined. You have to trust your instinct, and I was 100% sure about this one. Not a single doubt,” Mohit shared.
According to the actor, the audience response after his entry into the show has already been overwhelming and emotional for him.
“The memories, the exposure, the grandeur, and the love I’ve gotten from fans since my first episode — it’s been unbelievable,” he added.
Mohit Opens Up About His Character Kapil
Talking about his role in Naagin 7, Mohit revealed that Kapil is a relatable and fun-loving young man who balances responsibilities and personal dreams.
“I play Kapil — he’s the younger brother in a middle-class family that runs a small printing press. He’s that fun-loving, outgoing, flirtatious guy every young boy will relate to. He cribs about business duties, loves to have fun, and has a big heart,” Mohit explained.
The actor further added that what attracted him most to the character was how realistic and layered Kapil feels.
“What I love is how real he feels — responsibilities on one side, dreams and romance on the other,” he shared.
Mohit also hinted that viewers can expect romance and unexpected twists in Kapil’s storyline as the supernatural drama progresses.
“And yes, Kapil might just find himself in a romantic tangle too. With Balaji’s supernatural world, there’s always something unexpected around the corner for Kapil and his family. The team and the writers have crafted every character with layers, so you’ll have to watch to see what unfolds for him,” he said.
Mohit Talks About Working With Colors And Ekta Kapoor
The actor also opened up about making his debut with Colors TV and admitted that he has always admired the channel.
“Plus, this is my first time working with Colors, a channel I’ve admired forever. I’ve been a huge Bigg Boss fan since childhood. Who knows where this journey leads?” Mohit shared.
Apart from that, Mohit expressed happiness about finally getting an opportunity to work with producer Ekta Kapoor and her production house.
“And honestly, working with Ekta ma’am... I grew up watching her shows like Kasautii Zindagi Ki. As a kid coming to Bombay, every actor dreams of working with her. Whether it’s for a month or a year, that dream coming true is what matters. My inner child is thrilled,” he said.
Ending on an emotional note, Mohit shared how grateful and excited he feels to return with such a major project.
“To return now with Balaji, a brand this big... honestly, it can’t get better than this. I’m energised, focused, and ready for whatever comes next. I really hope you guys see me on screen regularly from here on,” he concluded.
