Chapter one
Ten years back
Mansi's wedding
As we enter the gardens embellish with lights on every tree and shrub the drive way was lined with red, pink, and white miniature rose plants in pots, on our approach to the main door of the mansion the theme of red, pink, and white roses continued throughout with multi colored lights intertwine. Music and laughter was heard coming from upstairs. Mansi's father stood at the doorway greeting his guests a elegantly dressed lady, and her son approached the entrance " Namaste " they both told their host "Namaste " he replied the lady asked "where are the ladies?" host answered "upstairs the music ceremony is taking place." The lady told both their host, and her son she is going upstairs to join in the fun.
The music ceremony is in full swing with all the ladies present having a grand time singing, playing the traditional instruments, and dancing, A simply dressed young lady was singing and dancing her movements were graceful very ladylike, yet you could clearly see she was having a good time because of her facial expression, her beautiful, attractive face beaming with pure joy as she danced with her partner then she reached for the bride to be to dance for a short song. The closeness, strong bond of friendship was visible between the two young women, it was apparent to all that they are best friends.
The lady kept looking at this young lady mesmerize by her elegance, her graceful movements, and her melodious voice and her self thought what an angel she is a perfect match for my son I must find out about her.
When the music ceremony was over the lady started her task; she noticed the match maker and started her inquiry, she stealthy followed the young lady throughout the house observing her actions; finally informing her son about her decision and pointing out the lady of her choice. The young man smiled, and nodded his head in approval of his mother's choice; the girl was simple yet there was a beauty that radiate from within her statuesque presence looking like a goddess; a goddess of love he thought to himself. Why would he turn down this opportunity to have such a trophy wife, he would be the envy of his family, friends and business associates.
"The lady in question her name is Aarti, and she is the best friend of Mansi they are close as sisters." said the matchmaker" Aarti what a beautiful name it suits her" said the young man " You like her then, well let me see what I can do to make her yours." replied the matchmaker with an overly big smile.
Aarti was busy in attendance with the kids serving them ice cream an adorably, cute little boy about five years approached and sweetly requested two ice creams please too which Aarti responded she wanted two kisses from him, which he happily give. This did not go unseen by the three stalkers they thought what a loving, caring young girl so kind, and gentle.
Aarti then proceed to her naughty friend Mansi's room, she was a beautiful bride in a traditional outfit but some how managed to appear very attractive, sexy a bit more than the average bride yet managed to remain tasteful. Aarti was a bit shock but knowing her friends nature silently hoped for the best.
When Aarti returned downstairs she was approached by the lady and her son, a confused Aarti greeted then politely and sat with then the lady give her some money which confused Aarti even more, all the while the son was silently gawking at Aarti this made her nervous and a bit scared. Aarti in a very polite manner tried to find out what was happening did aunty need anything. The lady explain that the money was a gift and she wanted her as a wife for her son. Aarti was a mixture of emotions shocked, confused, and nervous and what was taking place; at that moment her Shoba ma observed what was taking place and rushed forward, the match maker having found out the truth about Aarti rushed forward, and off course the little cutie pie came looking for his mom.
Mumma there you are running into his mother's waiting arms, this shocked the lady and her son, the lady became angry and started insulting and shoving an innocent, confused Aarti roughly pulling the money out of her hands. The match maker came forward this is what I found out she is a divorcee with a five year old son. The lady continued her uncalled for insulting of poor Aarti, Shoba ma approached and defended Aarti the lady said Shoba also have no shame parading her divorcee daughter as a single woman to trap a rich unsuspecting husband. Shoba proudly informed her that Aarti is her bahu and not her daughter, that her son Aarti's ex husband is the one at fault not Aarti and no one has the rite to judge Aarti; and yes she will get Aarti re married to a decent man who would accept her status and child, giving them a good home.
Mansi's parents came asking everyone to calm down; they supported both Shoba, and Aarti whom they loved as their own daughter. They asked Aarti to take Mansi to the stage for the exchange of the garlands.
While all the activities, and commotion were taking place inside; the dashing, handsome, drop dead, gorgeous, hunk of a man the wedding planner was busy going about his business making sure everything was perfect as the clients demanded, and being the perfectionist that he is his employees made sure that they give two hundred percent to their job. Mr Handsome was doing his final check that everything was well for the exchange of malas when he accidentally bumped shoulders with a passing Aarti, they both felt a current passed through their bodies and thought static no big deal., but Mr. Handsome turned his head and glimpsed at the lady holding the bride leading her to the stage, and a strange yet familiar feeling came to him do I know her?? he asked himself, she is beautiful wait!! stop I am a married man! What will I answer too Aripta, how will I face her.
"Mr. Scindhia we have a problem our switch is not working how will the basket of flowers open on the happy couple during the exchange of malas??" asked a tightly strung employee the poor man was confused at what should he do. Mr. Handsome Scindhia said he will find a solution and he did he climbed to the top of the crane unnoticed by all and fixed the malfunctioning switch, returned to his nervous employee and positioned himself to turn the switch but he got the timing wrong instead of showering the bride, and groom he showered Aarti with the rose petals, much to everyone's surprise and Aarti annoyance. Oh crap the wrong girl !! Her friend and not the bride! Why! Why! thought Mr. Handsome, Perfectionist Scindhia. I will immediately apologize to the bride and her family. Moving swiftly towards the group on the stage Mr Handsome made his apology " Yash beta forget about it mistakes do happen " said Mansi's dad " I think it was nice Aarti got showered with rose petals may be this is a sign" said a smiling Mansi Shoba, her husband, and Mansi's parents shared a smile, but Aarti was not amused she give Mr Yash Scindhia wedding planner a stern look conveying her displeasure.
