Chapter 24

In their apartment Aarya discussed their plan for the wedding in which they both would be collaborating on. Their client is Yash's old collage buddy so he had some idea of what standard of work their client would expect, his fiance however appears to be a modern, sophisticate woman Aarti was certain that she would want something spectacular for her grand day.

A more formal meeting was set for the following day with both sets of parents being involved so it was a long evening and night for AarYa running ideas off eavh other and planning their presentation.

Prateek and Paridhi came and told that they were leaving for the airport after ensuring that his chote had enough money and all was well with the younger couple Yash and Aarti bid them farewell.

The three little people came home so excited it was Ansh first day at his new school and he had so much to tell Yash listened carefully because his little son innocently confirmed what the teacher said about Palak, and Payal's antisocial behaviour; he asked his daughters why do they behave like that they innocently said that their bua dadi, dadi, and nani told them that they should not allow anyone to call them orphan or motherless, don't allow the children to take their things away from them especially the poorer kids because they are all dirty thieves who if we play with them we will get sick and die, that the children are all jealous of them because they are rich, and we must show them their place and fight them let them know that we are the smarter, stronger children.

Aarti could not believe what she was hearing how they dare manipulate these innocent children like that against poor kids, that those Scindhia women and Aripta's mother are despicable and the further they keep away from her children the better it will be. Aarti knew in her heart that it is difficult for these ladies to change their ways of thinking at their age, but she can't deprive the children of their grand parents love. So she decided that she will gently correct her kids when they say and do the wrong things under their dadi's, and nani's influence guiding them on the right path.

Yash was not really surprise because he knew how his mother, bua thinks, and now his eyes are open to Aripta's parents true ways how prejudice they are. What is worrying to him was how will Aarti process this new information about his relatives.

Aarti came forward and held the girls on her lap "Betas I am an orphan and I grew up in an orphanage, in school I was teased by children for being poor and without parents and it would hurt my feelings every day I would cry in school and when I returned to the orphanage none of the kids wanted to be my friend, The big kids used to hit me and push me around saying that I was dirty and a thief, their parents and elders also told them the same just as your dadi, and bua dadi told you. I felt so alone in school Then one day we got a new teacher in school who spoke to the children and told them that it is wrong to behave like that it was very bad behaviour; that god will not like them and will not welcome them into his house if they continue to behave like that; that he created all people alike, and he lives in each and all people even in little children so when you behave naughty with other children you behave bad with god"

"Really mama" chorused the girls "we did not know that"

"Yes betas you must speak politely with your classmates and play nicely with them, share your thing with those less fortunate than you, god will be very happy and he will reward you with their friendship. There is no need for my babies to show off because your papa, and dada ji have lots of money, or you have a car and driver to take and bring you back from school, and you live in a mansion." Aarti explained to her daughters kissing them on their heads while Yash held Ansh in his lap.

"Palak, Payal I told you nah that I will be your friend and protector because I am your big brother right papa, and together we will make friends, play and have lots of fun."

"Yes beta you are papa's champ" said Yash kissing his head

Yash looked at Aarti smiled and said "thank you for understanding the situation. And not creating more problems with their elders"

The evening passed with Aarya helping the kids with their homework, bathing and bedtime story something that Yash never made time for before with his daughters. Aarti felt grateful for his help and also Randularie's and Gopie help with the papering of tea, snacks and dinner, because she still had to work with Yash brainstorming ideas for their presentation the following day.

In their bed room Aarya were to tired that they showered and went to sleep sometime during the night they ended up lying closely together with Aarti's left arm, and leg on top of Yash he opened his eyes saw the position that they were in and the covers off her with her saree moved up above her knees. Yash smiled to himself and turned the Ac higher he will suggest that she sleeps in cotton PJ or a kurti suit because this saree is making her uncomfortable.

The following morning Aarti woke first she was facing Yash and he was facing her wow! He is a handsome man she thought and he looks so much younger in his sleep she felt tempted to give him a kiss on his lips No! No! Aarti don't think that don't go there you are just co parents now trying to become friends. What will he think if you do that he would say you are shameless knowing that he still loves his dead wife Aripta.

Yash was awake he was looking at her will she slept at the mess her long beautiful hair made over her face his fingers itched to move those naughty strands that was blocking his view of her beautiful face then he saw her eyes move in REM then her hand came up to cover a yawn and she opened her eyes by then he was peeping through his barely closed eyes and lashes, she continued looking and it seemed she liked what she saw because she smiled to herself then he saw a slight blush to her cheeks then she got up and quickly made her way to the washroom. Yash got up smiled to himself and begun his morning routine.

Aarti completed her shower and dressed she had so much to do breakfast, lunch get the kids ready continue to help with the presentation she made her way to the kids room they were still asleep another hour to go before she wakes them. Aarti did her morning pray and started her day Gopie came to help with the cooking then while she was attending to the kids Ramdularie came he apologized for being late but G3 maji wanted him to help Vidhi Bhabhi first aarti told that it was okay and to help Gopie with the food.

Yash returned from his jogging and heard what Ramdularie had to say his mother have no intention to make it any easier for his Aarti but he is certain that his wife will not allow anything to break her sprits, he knows that she is a fighter and he will do all in his power to help her.

After breakfast and the kids sent off to school Aarti had her chores to do because G3 demanded that the men return to help Vidhi do her chores. Yash completed his project checking constantly with Aarti for her suggestions they had three different ideas to present to the clients based on the information they received yesterday.

Aarti had to shower again and she changed into a simple designed abstract colour long kurta and leggings with matching dupatta and high heeled sandals, matching ear ring and a simple necklace with a few simple matching bracelets and a black handbag completed her look

Yash looked at his wife she looked absolutely beautiful she had on very little make up on and her height and body shape visible looking like a fashion model. Aarti walked with confidence all ready to drive her points home he wondered what it was like watching her in a court room, defending her clients.

Aarti came out saw Yash looking at her with a strange expression in his eyes she wondered if she was looking good or should she change then he smiles and told it was time to leave.

The presentation was a hit all three ideas were loved by all they were a combination of traditional, and modern, the bride's parents chose the most expensive idea this meant lots of work for the Scindhia events company to arrange this within three weeks that was a lot of work. Yash suggested that the wedding and the pre wedding rituals which only family relatives and very close friends were invited should be held at Radha's and Akash's hotel there were enough rooms to accommodate the family and guests, the landscaping were beautiful for the pictures, that a large tent could be placed and the mandap built under it. The bride's family knew of the ancestral home belonging to the minister's family so they agreed. Their meeting continued with a drive to Akash and Ishita for lunch and the planning for the wedding begun, the mothers got along with Radha who suggested different placed in the estate where the different rituals could be held. Everyone left happy aarYa had a check with a deposit for a large amount

During the next few weeks Aarti was tired she admired Yash's ability to deal calmly with the bride, her mothers, sisters and friends. Aarti went shopping with them and she was mentally exhausted the long hours and different shops they visited before choosing all the clothing jewellery, accessories for all the rituals and partied before the wedding and the outfits for the wedding reception held at the groom's house. Then there were the decorations for the groom's house which was a large as the SM and the extended grounds, everything had to be perfect. They groom's parents also wanted the best and money was no problem. Then there were the pre wedding cocktails party held at the bride's house, and another one that was a combination of an engagement for the happy couple, and wedding anniversary for the bride's grand parents.

During these parties Aarti had to dress in western clothes she looked stunning in her black cocktail dress and in a magenta long evening cap sleeved gown for the engagement anniversary the bride and her mothers were only too happy to show off Aarti who was a great help with her choices and designs to make everything a success.

Yash was so proud of his wife he knew she was tired trying to be a good mother, housewife and business woman. The little help she received from him with the kids she was happy, Ramdularie and Gopie helped for a few hours daily because G3 always had something important for them to do, Vidhi was happy to babysit the kids for them, and Yash knew his mother loved having the girls around Ansh she continued to ignore, but his bauji made up for it by playing with the boy when he had the time Ansh it seemed had similar tastes, and interests liked him.

Finally everything was over the wedding, all the rituals and parties only the overseeing of the clean up and pack up

"Yash I am so tired I think I will just crawl to the bed may be sleep on the floor" they were in the car on their way home "Aren't you tired"

"Yes but I am used to it" he answered with a smile he held her right hand and give it a quick kiss.

Aarti blushed this she did not expect he noticed her blush out of the corners of his eyes he knew she was surprise he smiled thinking if she only knows that I want to passionately kiss her lips, and maybe more she might get a heart attack. "Relax Aarti you did very good for your first time the next time won't be as bad"

"Yash I want a small break I need to spend quality time with my babies I miss them so much"

"But Aarti you do spend time with them and they love their mama. You know what Palak birthday is coming up I want you to plan a party for her I will help she has not had a celebration since Aripta died on her birthday, and I will ask bauji if we can keep it in the house okay"

"Okay Yash are you sure you are all right with celebrating on that day I mean won't you feel sad and lonely that Ariptaji is not here with you?? I mean it is Palaks sixth birthday she is your first born baby and her mother the woman you love, your wife is not there to celebrate with you."

"Aarti do you miss Prashant on Ansh's birthday?'

"The only time I missed him was on Ansh's first birthday after that it his absence was not a problem but I suspected ma and bauji missed him. I was so busy trying to make up to Ansh that he will not feel the absence of his father that I did not think of Prashant. Yes it would have been nice if he had acknowledged Ansh existence, and yes I had hoped that he would of come back to us if only to give Ansh the perfect family with parents like his friends had, and ma and bauji their only child back, like a fool I hoped and prayed so I could have a family like the normal kids in school, and my collage friends. As an orphan you are always looking in, always on the outside hoping that your time will come when you too will be blessed with the perfect family" she sadly said and sighed

Yash wanted Aarti to have everything she dreamed off and his daughters loved her she is the only mother they know and planning Palak's birthday will bring them closer. Ansh on the other hand will not feel the absence of his father Yash will make sure his little champ has all the love he needs. The lawyers told him all that was needed now was the court hearing to make Ansh adoption legal, and he had papers prepared for Aarti to officially adopt Palak, and Payal. Prashant was indeed a scumbag he sold his rights to Ansh. Aarti did not have to know that Yash placed one billion rupees in a trust fund for Prashant and Neda's baby before the scumbag signed the adoptions papers.

When they arrived home Aarti was fast asleep Yash carried her up to their room, and placed her on their bed, he removed her shoes, and her jewellery, all the while Aarti was mumbling in her sleep about how much she likes Yash ji, how handsome he is, and how much she hatted the attention the ladies were giving him, that he is her husband only she has the right to admire him. Yash smiled at his wife's conversation and said I like you too and only I have the right to admire you too my beautiful, sexy Aarti.

Yash changed his clothes and lied down next to her and she immediately rolled across placing her head on his chest and her arms possessively around his waist much to Yash amusement and happiness they did not show their true feelings when they were awake but asleep they clung to eachother until whoever awoke first usually it was him and he adjusted them on the bed so Aarti won't feel offended or embarrassed when she awoke.
