Yes lakshmi... I also want to see that discussion. I mentioned it in my post y'day too.
However, Dev's question was should he remarry because he felt confused. She acted as a 3rd person. And we will probably not agree on this... she was fed up of being pulled in different directions. It's Dev's job to make sure he can be part of Soha's life. The logistics need to be worked out. See my post form y'day. I mentioned the same.

@Shaavi let's agree to disagree...yes both have golden heart but given a chancec sonakshi even today will go against her parents which Dev may not be able to...pl recall their convo in Dev's office immediately after Sona-Ritwik dinner date...after seeing Dev in a devastating state sona tells him "I will not think back, I can leave everyone but I know you can't do that and even if we do we won't be happy"...her recent short stay in IN has reinforced her beliefs as she could see that those who are dwelling in IN hasn't changed or they have become more powerful in the second innings...she knows Dev's feelings towards her and to a greater extent Dev also knows her feelings...in spite of that she is ready to forgo Dev not because of her promise to her father but not to cause traumas for both Dev and Soha because if they live together history will repeat...yes Bijoy has a toxic influence on Sona but she can free herself from it unfortunately Dev can't...her magnanimity lies there because she is not blaming Dev for it...there are 100s of Devs in real world but only few sonakshi's you can find...that's why people find it difficult to accept her...

@red: But she has blamed Dev for it for it. There entire marriage was her blaming Dev for it instead of understanding the situations. The worst part of it was that she actually knew what she was stepping into. But instead of taking responsibility for her choice.. she blamed Dev.

She kept Soha away from Dev for 6 years because she was blaming Dev for it. Otherwise you can't tell me that she couldn't pick up the phone and call Dev or even an email. If she was so accepting and magnanimous why would she force Dev to sign an agreement that basically says he has no rights on Soha unless she allows it?

And why does Sona get credit for being more magnanimous than Dev? Did he not try to help the Bose's by taking the blame of the theft on his head? Its easy to "help" others when there is nothing of yourself at risk. Dev risked losing Soha by "helping" the Boses. What is Sona putting of herself at risk by "helping" Ishwari? When Sona tried to "help" Neha.. who got hurt Sona or Neha?

@bold.. but what makes you think that? Because I honestly feel the opposite. There are very few people in the world like that Dev that are the open with their emotions. Most of us go through life trying to protect ourselves from being vulnerable to others. The most common way of protecting ourselves is by entering into power struggles. By always trying to be the dominant one in the relationship. If you are the one in control no one can hurt you. But if you let other people have control-- they can hurt you.

And that for me is Sona.. she never lets anyone else have control. When Dev tries to help the Bose's.. Sona yells at him. Makes him feel bad for 'helping'. Makes him feel like he's incompetent. When Dev realizes that Sona was trying to help Ishwari--- he appreciated it. He valued her. But it takes a lot of guts to appreciate other people at the expense of yourself. Very few people in this world are capable of appreciating other people's attributes in comparison to their flaws. Almost invariably humans will do the opposite.

I think its very easy to discount someone like Dev because he doesn't toot his own horn. In psychology, I've learned that we tend to give people 70% of what they say. Sona claims to be perfect... so most people will give her most of that. Whereas Dev claims his failures--- so most people give him most of that too. But I feel the reality is different. Dev is closer to self actualization because he is able to introspect on his flaws. Sona is just not there-- until Sona accepts her flaws her good deeds are always laced with her need for self validation.

@malikakas mmm very valid points wrt Dev...I can't agree with you more...but wrt to sona I disagree...in their relationship Sona has always been at receiving end...1) she had to bear the brunt for hiding their relationship though the decision was dev's 2) keeping non-veg in the marriage was dev's decision but she had to listen to the taunts of others 3) cancellation of honeymoon and related fiasco she was at receiving end...4) infertility track I don't want to discuss bcoz myself as a woman and mother can't even fathom the insult she has undergone...she blamed Dev for evading the situation or finding temporary solution rather than not supporting her...she made Dev sign the agreement not because she doubted Dev but she knows Dev's incapability to deal with his mom hence she doesn't want Soha to undergo what she has undergone post marriage...at the outset it may look unfavourable on Dev but if you look at it impartially it actually protects Dev because he will not take any impulsive decision which will save his image in front of soha...

Having said this I must say I support Dev sincerely and don't blame him for what he has done/doing/will do...if anyone who thinks that Dev should speak up and retort to his mom they are living in bubble...because men like Dev Dixit are products of circumstances and what they face is self-imposed restrictions...unfortunately they won't be able to free themselves from those restrictions...those who have captivated them need to free them...Sonakshi's situation is different...she can defy Bijoy but Dev cannot do that Ishwari has to free him...that's why I appreciate Sona who has understood Dev's constraints and she has freed him because she knows her presence in his life will create more problems for him as her equation remain the same even after 7 years with the inmates of IN...If Sona emphatically state her decision to go back to Dev, Bijoy may reluctantly agree but can't say that for Ishwari and Sona knows that that's why she has decided to move out from Dev's life with a heavy heart...I have seen many Devs in real life but only few Sonas...that may be the reason I appreciate her...
