Amitabh Bachchan, who recently celebrated his 83rd birthday, shared an honest glimpse into his long working hours in a recent blog post. Known for his prolific career across languages and decades, Big B continues to stay active, currently hosting the 17th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

In his update, he wrote, “Kept working till 5:30 in the morning … and just forgot there was important Blog work and responses to give… so apologies and regrets… But regret never for the Ef.” His words reflect a relentless commitment to work, a quality admired by colleagues and fans alike.

The post followed an emotional reflection, where Bachchan recalled the lingering impact of the past. “Images and feelings of the past days still linger, and the mind and body is unresponsive to the routine of work… But they keep saying that ‘the show must go on’… whoever said this may have meant good and with some positivity, but they that suffer, bear the brunt of the sadness that still remains to be filtered…”

The actor also shared a small personal moment with the KBC crew, “The crew of KBC took me out after the day’s work to dine with them… a fine South Indian place… delicious food and company… but the heart mourns… more so because none of them knew that it was Babuji’s birth anniversary… to each his own.”

Bachchan has recently lost one of his closest friends, veteran actor Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. The actor’s reflections convey both professional dedication and personal grief.

Speaking about KBC, Bachchan praised his team, saying, “The days fly by, the exhaustion appears… not on the self but on those that prepare me for the work… they are the true giants and heroes of KBC. Hours and hours of backroom consultations, designing and managing deliverables… simply unable to understand for them that sit at home and watch the broadcasts.”

His commitment to the show mirrors the dedication seen in actors like Anupam Kher and Akshay Kumar, who have also been celebrated for their discipline and passion. Kaun Banega Crorepati remains the official Hindi adaptation of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, with Bachchan hosting nearly every season except the third.

Even at 83, Amitabh Bachchan’s work ethic and reflections underline a life devoted to craft, colleagues, and the enduring connection with audiences.
